The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 342: Departure

"Enter the helicopter." Kyle controlled the helicopter as they all boarded it.

Kate glanced outside the window and saw the soldiers were all staring at them. Their gaze seemed as if they wanted to tear a piece of their flesh.

It was quite scary.

Brrm!

The helicopter soon departed away.

"Kyle, tell me the truth, you’re doing a secret mission didn’t you?" Even the stupid Jake felt that the atmosphere was wrong. How could these people look so hostile after just one night?

"Don’t worry, they’re just indignant for losing a lot of money." Kyle chuckled.

Before long, they would forget about it because there was nothing else that happened.

When Professor Bale called last night, Kyle had guessed that the cost of that equipment Kate destroyed should be very expensive. Because of the price, Professor Bale also felt painful.

He didn’t want to see them get away so easily.

Unfortunately, he also knew the importance of the mission this time and couldn’t stop them arbitrarily and openly.

"Are we going to stop in the middle?" Lotte thought of another important matter.

"Yes. One more stop in the wilderness." Kyle didn’t have any intention of interacting with more people on their way. This time, they would stop once in the wilderness.

Lotte frowned.

"We’re not staying in hotel again?" Jake was stunned. "I thought that we’re not going to participate in any camping business again after all that had happened in the past…"

"Do you hate staying in the tent?" Kyle arched his eyebrows.

"I can’t stay with Lotte…"

Bletak!

"Is that your main concern?" Lotte looked at her husband speechlessly. At this time, she felt that his brain was not functioning well.

Jake looked at Lotte with an aggrieved look. They were finally married and he couldn’t wait to spend every single second with her.

If only it was possible, he wished that he would be able to be with her all the time.

Kyle sighed and silently continued to control the helicopter. He felt that assigning these two with him was actually a mistake. But he didn’t want to stay with Marc who will bring the noisy Robby or Lucy who would definitely want to spend more time with Kate.

Thus, these two were the best option.

<Do you want me to seal the space so that you can’t hear their conversation?> Kate was amused when she saw the displeasure in Kyle’s face.

<It’s fine.>

"I’m a bit worried." Lotte pushed her husband aside, finally giving up on talking to him. "What if they’re dissatisfied and tried to attack us in the wilderness?"

"That’s not impossible, but they wouldn’t dare to make a move by themselves." Kyle chuckled. His eyes glanced at the wilderness below. "If they truly want to trouble us, they had to be prepared for a fierce counterattack."

Jake heard that and grinned. "I’m ready."

They hadn’t made any big moves for a long time. Perhaps, many people had long forgotten just how powerful the lineup of Black Group were.

They continued their journey.

Before long, they finally stopped and landed in a plain.

"We’re stopping here today?" Marc jumped out after the helicopter was turned off. He looked around and felt that they were truly in the open. "I didn’t know that there’s such a huge plain here."

"It’s originally a city that’s already destroyed by giant mutated animals." Kyle glanced at Marc. "It’s turned into plains because the number of people living are not as many as it used to be."

Marc nodded.

With the arrival of these giant mutated animals, humans’ population had decreased a lot. There was no possibility for them to return to their previous number without decades of recovery.

And it could only be done if they were to be careful and continued to fight against these giant mutated animals.

It wouldn’t be easy.

"Well, let’s just build the tent. Who’s going to stay vigil tonight?" Jake felt that he couldn’t understand much of their conversation and only wished for them to rest as fast as possible.

"Meow" <There’s no need. I’ll keep a passive space shield.>

Lotte looked at Kate and raised her thumbs. "You can do that?"

"Meow." <It’s very easy>

After reaching rank 8, just maintaining a passive space shield for the entire night was not a big consumption as long as the size was within the controlled limit. And since it was only going to be a small shield, Kate felt that it was doable. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

She also would be sleeping.

"Then that’s settled." Kyle nodded and then took out a stack of materials to build the tent.

Everyone worked together, have dinner, and went to sleep.

When it was morning, they were all stunned to see a large number of giant mutated animals around them, though.

"How come they all come here?" Jake was speechless when he saw so many giant mutated animals in front of him. They were all hidden by the space shield and these giant mutated animals were instead targeting them.

Was there anything special?

The space shield should have blocked all smells and even their traces of existences, right?

"There might be some things used." Kyle glanced at these giant mutated animals and then glanced at Lotte. "They’re all yours."

"Ah, it’s my turn?" Lotte was stunned and then grinned. "Got it."

The space shield was taken back and Lotte blasted her surroundings with the wind element, slashing and killing countless giant mutated animals. After repeated training with Kyle and the others in that annoying training room, her control had grown much better.

Kyle burned the pile of giant mutated animals’ corpses in one area and glanced at Lucy and Marc who nodded.

They entered the helicopter and left first while Kyle maintained a fire circle around the first helicopter. This way, no giant mutated animals would be able to get close to them.

"Are we also going now?" Jake asked, he was using the metal element to stab some giant mutated animals that bypassed Lotte’s attack.
