The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 341: Staying Overnight

<I have no idea> Kyle shrugged.

Professor Bale was one of the few high ranked awakened who was able to create various items. His research result had allowed him to become rich which in turn also developed City CA to the current size.

Their City E was also developing well with the few things that were developing in the right direction through the research institute and many others.

Anyway, every city had its own advantage and disadvantage.

<Let’s just destroy it. Anyway, if we need to make compensation, you can be the one to take care of it.> Kate didn’t want to think too much anymore.

Hearing Kate’s words, Kyle chuckled. <Alright.>

With a thought, the supposedly sturdy equipment was completely destroyed within Kate’s space ability. The confined space directly increased the pressure to the point where it was no longer acceptable for the materials.

Every material had its limit, which would be known through series of test.

Kate had done many of these tests in the past for her university classes. To be honest, the test was somewhat like destroying these things.

*cough*

After all, they wanted to see the limit.

So they would either pull, push, or even give pressure to the point where the specific materials break.

That was why every material would have their specific sheets that contained their hardness, elasticity, electricity ability, and so on.*

There were always many things that was broken in the end. The cost was also quite considerable because many of these materials were by no means cheap.

<Is it a kind of hidden mission?> Kate glanced at Kyle and knew that there was an additional flash disk inside her space.

<Even though we all coexist in peace, there are still some things that needed to be done.>

Kyle didn’t explain much.

There were things that happened in the dark that Kate didn’t have to know. The only reason why he was tasked to take this flash disk was because his father needed it for some matters.

Anyway, there were too many complicated political matters. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Ring! Ring! Ring!

Kyle took out his phone and looked at the call to him. He motioned for Kate to stay silence before clicked answer.

"Hello."

"Mr. Kyle." The person in the opposite of the phone, Professor Bale, sounded displeased. "I presume that you’re not quite satisfied with the hotel we prepared for you?"

"How could that be? This place is good." Kyle chuckled, hiding his real thoughts behind his cordial smile.

Kate watched Kyle looked like this and silently turned her head away. She really couldn’t bear to watch him acting in front of other people.

He looked very different.

And she always felt that he was fooling others right now.

"In that case, why did I hear that there’s an explosion there?" Professor Bale asked questioningly.

"Ah? Is there? I didn’t hear anything." Kyle looked confused as if he truly didn’t know anything. If there was an award for acting at this time, Kyle definitely could win first place.

If General Ryan were to see his son like this, he would snort. This was the tactic that Kyle had used several times in the past to get himself out of troubles. After all, Kyle was actually involved in many cases yet there was not even the slightest of evidence.

He was never involved directly.

What he did was to simply give suggestions and talking with others, inducing them to make a move without actually doing anything.

Facing his son that was like this, General Ryan had to admit that he did feel a bit scared. But at the same time, he would still face Kyle openly because this man is also his son who come from him.

Professor Bale snorted.

The two of them talked a bit more but Kyle acted like he truly knew nothing and so on. In the end, Professor Bale had to close the phone in anger.

"Meow." <You really look like a criminal.>

Kyle arched his eyebrows and chuckled. <If I truly want to be one, they would never be able to find me in the past and in the current situation where there are many giant mutated animals and strange things, they’ll never catch me.>

He had this confidence in himself because he knew what he could and couldn’t do. There were things that he could do to destroy his enemies slowly but surely and with the newfound power he had, destroying the world might not be dream anymore.

But he didn’t have the reason to do it.

What he wanted right now was to live well and happily with Kate beside him. Spending every single day with her beside him, seeing the world together and faced every challenge side by side.

That was his current goal.

The additional missions were just things that he had to do in order to maintain the current peace he had finally obtained.

<I see.> Kate raised her furry head and looked at Kyle carefully.

He’s a dangerous person.

This was something that she herself also knew after interacting with Kyle for a long period of time.

But even if he’s a dangerous person, he never aimed that to her.

So for her, he’s a good person.

And that’s enough.

<Let’s to go sleep. We still have to go on a journey tomorrow.>

Kyle smiled warmly at Kate and pulled the cat to his embrace. He felt comfortable around Kate, who could accept him for who he is and supported him.

<Yes>

The night passed by quietly.

The group went up the next morning and directly headed to the parking lot. Kate released the two helicopters.

"You two go up first." Kyle glanced at Lucy and Marc.

"Ok." Marc had sensed that the atmosphere seemed to be a bit wrong. Though, he didn’t really feel anything last night because he was simply sleeping with Robby staying not far from him.

Lucy nodded solemnly and followed behind Marc.

Soon, the helicopter went airborne and the rest entered the second helicopter.
