Chapter 339: Arrangement
"I don’t like the atmosphere," Lucy murmured as they followed Professor Bale to the hotel not far from the helicopter landing area.
Marc’s eyes narrowed as he nodded lightly. Even he could sense that there was something wrong with the atmosphere of the people here. But considering that their guest was someone whose power could destroy an entire city…
It should be obvious that they would be cautious.
Professor Bale is the leader of CA City. He wouldn’t allow anyone to destroy the city that he had painstakingly built for the past year by using countless resources and so on.
"I presume the latest progress had been well, Professor Bale." Kyle had other private cooperation with Professor Bale that he made last year. At that time, he was considering how to make these crystals source more available.
In the end, he turned to Professor Bale.
One of the reason was because he knew this professor’s background and also some other details.
Professor Bale laughed. "Indeed. It has been doing very well that I myself can’t believe that it’s so easy."
Kyle smiled lightly. "In that case, I hope that our cooperation could continue."
"Of course." Professor Bale caressed his beard. The cooperation with Kyle was beneficial and the two of them split the cost and revenue at almost equal gain.
This way, the two parties were more or less satisfied with this cooperation.
Besides, the two of them didn’t really want to fight with each other considering that the two of the were already rank 7. The battles of awakened at this rank could even destroy the entire city.
"The rooms in the entire floor are for you to use. You can pick whichever room you like and we wouldn’t intrude." Professor Bale stopped at the stairs. "This is the second floor of a three stories building. I’m sure that you’re quite satisfied with this arrangement, Mr. Kyle?"
Kyle narrowed his eyes.
Lower height of the building to prevent him from being able to see through City CA. Booking the entire floor and allow them to pick their room themselves to prevent them from thinking that the people in City CA wanted to spy on them. The location is right in the middle, which was suitable for them if there was an emergency and they wanted to go up or go down.
Professor Bale is really meticulous.
No wonder that a person like this who was focusing his attention on research was able to become the leader of such a big city.
"I’m satisfied, thank you, Professor Bale." Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"You’re welcome. I wouldn’t disturb you from resting."
They all waited until the people there left and Kyle glanced at Kate who nodded her head imperceptibly and used her space element to create a sound insulated space.
"I’ll pick room 23. The two pilots will stay in room 24 and 25." Kyle swept across the corridor calmly and added, "Lotte and Jake stay in room 26. Marc in room 27. Lucy in room 22. Any objection?"
The two pilots were actually also soldiers who had reached rank 6 in their training. But in their entire team, rank 6 was naturally the lowest, so they had to pay more attention to these two.
"Clear."
"Jake, Little Kitty."
Jake grinned and silently used his metal element to detect all the use of the metals in the entire floor. With his advancement to rank 7, his scope had gotten wider and Jake was able to perceive almost all metals in his surroundings.
Spyware would require metals in their construction.
But some people who was willing to spend money might also replace the metals. For example, the originally metal cable would be switched to fiber optic cable that used light to transmit the signal.
Then there were also other that used other compound materials that was mixed with other materials to block the perception of metal awakened.
"There’s only one camera at the other end of the corridor."
"Disable it." Kyle gave one order.
"Done."
Kate meowed and silently released her space elements to inspect the entire corridors. The space elements were even scarier than Jake’s metal ability because Kate could basically perceive all the items that was located within the certain distance.
As she advanced to rank 8, she could really sense many items that was within the limited distance without any problems.
Because of this, Kyle taught Kate how to recognize the spyware items and forced her to memorize many structure of various electrical equipment. Most spyware would be inserted in other items that would make them harder to be detected.
Kate opened her eyes.
<A few voice sensors located in a few places.>
<Isolate and destroy them>
<Yes~.>
Kate licked her tongue and her space ability created a barrier around these items. Afterwards, Kate closed down the space size, destroying the items within as the pressure was pressing onto these items.
…
<In another location>
Di! Di! Di!
"All the sound sensors had been wiped out." the soldier in the monitoring room was speechless.
The last image they had was the group was still standing beside the stairs, talking with each other.
But because of the distance and angle, they couldn’t find out what these people were actually talking about.
Then Jake destroyed that camera.
They had already anticipated that the camera would be found out, so they didn’t mind.
But the specially made sound sensors that they placed to hear the conversation of these people were also found.
It was truly fast.
"None left?" Professor Bale walked into the room unhurriedly.
"Yes, Professor. There’s no other spyware that can be used." The soldier pursed his lips.
Professor Bale nodded, not looking offended in the slightest bit. It was as if he had known that this will happen.
"In that case, forget about it. Just watch the stairs and inform me when they’re about to depart."
"Yes, Professor Bale!"
Professor Bale turned around and left the monitoring room calmly. For these high ranked awakened, their battles would occur silently.
And it all started from gathering the other’s information.
