The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 338: City CA

"Is it too fast?" Lucy didn’t have that much knowledge. She only felt that if they could reach their designation faster, that would be good.

"Yeah." Marc nodded. He looked outside and pondered slightly. When they were on the way, he had noticed that the helicopter was really fast even if it was not comparable to planes.

But this was faster than his expectation.

"Wang?" <I don’t understand anything, Master>

Marc patted Robby’s head. "It’s fine. You don’t have to understand these things."

"Wang! Wang!" <Yes, Master. Even if Robby understood nothing, Master will still like Robby the most!>

Marc looked at his dog helplessly and chose not to comment.

The two helicopters reached the ground.

There were already a few people who were waiting. When Kyle reached the ground, Kate had long turned into a small white cat once more. Thus, Kyle would have to pick her up.

<Don’t turn back to be a human being outside>

<Don’t worry, I know>

Kate always used hood when she was attending the national meeting. But those who had access to the database before these giant mutated animals appeared would definitely know how she looked like.

After all, she was already an adult and wouldn’t change much in her appearance.

To prevent others from knowing that Kate had left City E, Kyle simply didn’t let Kate to take her human’s shape when she was outside anymore.

Jake and Lotte came out of the helicopter first and looked at the row of soldiers in front of them. Jake was used to such sight but Lotte still didn’t feel that comfortable. Being stared by so many battle hardened soldiers were indeed not a very pleasant experience.

Sensing Lotte’s tensed mood, Jake stretched his hand and held Lotte’s hand.

Even though Jake was not very reliable, his presence did indeed make Lotte calmed down slightly.

Kyle walked out of the helicopter next. He swept his gaze across the soldiers before locked onto a figure wearing white lab robe. "I didn’t expect you to come personally, Professor Bale."

Professor Bale was the leader in CA city who had reached rank 7 during the third red rain. It was also because of the sudden rank increase that he met with Kyle and the other through the first national meeting.

Professor Bale was already quite old.

But for him to be able to advance his ability’s rank so high, it was obvious that he was not ordinary by any means.

"When I heard that Black Group will come for the mission, I naturally want to be able to receive them in person." Professor Bale showed a smile.

"Do you want to see us in person or it’s because you want to talk more about this special helicopter." Kyle patted the helicopter behind him, his eyes were still following Professor Bale’s direction.

Professor Bale clicked his tongue. "Some technologies are not spread. I was naturally curious. As fellow researchers, I guess you know how it feel."

Kyle didn’t answer and only patted Kate in his arm. "Little Kitty, put the helicopter away."

"Meow." <Ok>

Kate hadn’t been called with this nickname for a long time ever since Kyle knew that this little cat is actually his former student named Kate. But she also knew that other people had already researched that Kyle had a little cat named Little Kitty.

He never actually hid this name in the past.

Professor Bale clicked his tongue. "You’re very stingy like what my old friend said."

"If you’re talking about Dr. Dall, he has been busy with a new research matter and the stack of reports." Kyle smiled brightly.

Kate looked at Kyle quietly.

Thinking of that poor doctor who was given a stack of problems by Kyle to help him arrange the report… Kate silently lit a candle.

In some of the little research Kyle did, Dr. Dall was the assistant and thus knew many things. Since that was the case, he was the one tasked to arrange those numbers and files for the final report.

Thinking of the project she did back in university, Kate shuddered slightly.

The most trouble thing for every student back then was to make the report after they had finished doing their experiment.

Why?

Because some university lab class required them to handwrite everything for the report and also copied those data tables by hand once the experiment was done.*

Not to mention, there was a time limit for them to finish the report and handed it over. It was usually either within the day or the day after.

So every student had to burn midnight oil while preparing some equipment to massage their hands when they felt tired.

Kate already felt like her wrist would break back then.

The third year was the craziest and for some reason, Kate was somewhat glad she didn’t have to continue her lessons.

There were three lab courses.

And Kate had already wanted to cry when she arranged her timetable. But if she wanted to graduate in four years, she had to finish these insane lab courses within the designated time.

"No wonder Dr. Dall didn’t answer my call again." Professor Bale nodded in understanding.

Kyle smiled. "I believe you have prepared the place for us to stay for the night?"

"Yes, of course." Professor Bale turned to look at the second helicopter where Lucy and Marc walked out. He didn’t recognize these two since they hadn’t participated in the last national meeting.

But the last time Kyle made move with his black group, it had been reported that all of his members were above rank 5. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

It was estimated that they were all rank 6.

"Please follow me." Professor Bale turned around and half of the soldiers returned to their duty while the other half were waiting for them.

It was clear that he wouldn’t allow them to stay here without supervision.

Kyle’s eyes narrowed as he patted Kate’s back, signaling for her to take the other helicopter.

The next second, the other helicopter also disappeared.
