Chapter 90 Beginning Of The End I
Beginning Of The End I
'Let's begin.' Christopher sent those two words to his Subordinates who were all fighting in their respective Domains.
The truth was that they were completely bullying the creatures they were fighting, the only reason they hadn't killed them was because their job was to stall. But now that they had been given the Go Ahead, there was no more need to hold back.
Back on the ground, Aisha looked up at the fractured sky and Titus who was still reeling from the wave of Mana stared at her with confusion.
"What's wro-"
SHATTER
An incredibly loud sound of something breaking reached everyone's ears, causing them to look up.
The myriad of domains had shattered, and Titus could vaguely catch a glimpse of disintegrating Void Creatures and Voidwalkers who had died in various ways. Some seemed to have been crushed, some looked like lifeless husks, some were just bones now, some had been sliced to pieces, some had been charred black, some had been ripped apart, and some were simply gone.
Titus shuddered, it would appear that his elder disciples had been successful. However, if that was the case, why didn't he feel elated.
He suddenly gasped as another powerful wave of Mana went through him and he staggered, his face paling.
"What's happening?!" He yelled and Aisha grunted.
"The Void has been summoned, they're putting the sword back together now." The answer made him feel cold. He had suspected it, but hearing it aloud did not make him feel happy.
Before he could say or do anything though, Ivory Star suddenly moved.
He saw brief flashes of light go across the entire battlefield , and before he could make sense of what had happened, hundreds of massive swords of light emerged from the ground far faster than what the element represented.
Instantly, Void Creatures were completely annihilated in an instant, and in just a few short moments, all of them had been totally annihilated.
(To compare. Think of the third impact from Evangelion)
Titus felt his mouth go dry.
Those… those were the same Void Creatures they had been struggling with for hours. They'd been fighting for so long that it was nighttime! And yet they had barely gone halfway through the army of Creatures. And yet his elder disciples wiped All of them out in an instant.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
And that's even talking about how somehow, she had totally avoided having anyone from the race armies as collateral damage and the damage was perfectly transferred to the Void Creatures.
However, he couldn't marvel for long as the third pulse emerged and his face turned grim.
'Will they be able to handle the Void by themselves? And where is master?!' He exclaimed inwardly, and that's when Aisha spoke, though her voice sounded strange.
"Get ready." She sounded strangely resigned.
"Ready for wha-" His voice was cut off as the scene suddenly changed.
Gone was the desert they were fighting on, the battered bodies of corpses and Voidwalkers, the shattered sky, and the overbearing Mana that was being released as a result of the Legend Sword Shards being reassembled.
Now, they stood in a vast plain, and Titus was stunned. There was no sky, but there was a faint blue fog that wasn't so thick that it paired his vision, but was dense enough to be seen.
In the distance, he could make out massive trees, trees far bigger than anything he had seen before in his life. And despite them being so far away, he was amazed to find out that his battered body was healing at an astonishing rate.
Moreover, every breath he took seemed to fill him with Mana that was too pure for him to know what to do with, and the air was so clean that his lungs seemed to scream with joy each time he took a breath.
It seemed like paradise.
However, this paradise wouldn't last long as in the next moment, he paled, then screamed.
Pain.

Christopher watched as the race armies were transported into his Dimension along with his subordinates and sighed. He felt Lenax and Prism also enter with their true bodies.
Then he watched as everyone in the army fell down screaming and writhing in agony as their bodies were enhanced, even the dignified rulers who for sure had gone through who knows how many life or death battles were convulsing harrowing pain.
The situation was serious, but then Christopher suddenly remembered how he had straight up lost consciousness during his first enhancement and chuckled.
'Now y'all know how I feel. Wait, is that bad? Probably. Meh, not like they'll know when I had that thought.' He shrugged that thought.
At that moment, all his subordinates appeared next to him and kneeled. This included Lenax Prism, Eidrasil, and Sinestra.
"We're ready, Master." They all said in unison and Christopher couldn't help but feel his heart swell with pride. He did this.
"At ease." His voice was as calm as ever and waited for the system to tell him when the enhancement of the races was completed.
"After this battle is over, it will mark the beginning of a new era. So get ready guys, things are going to become very different very soon." As his words fell, the system told him all the enhancements had been finished, and he sighed.
'Well, here goes.' Then with a thought, he braced his body and told the system to begin the upgrade.
The pain was as blinding as ever.

The underground of the Voidwalkers base was a mess. The Void rift had now opened up fully and was as tall as a skyscraper and wide as several streets.
The Voidwalkers who had been underground were all gone, their bodies eviscerated into nothing by the influx of Void energy.
Now, the room was filled to the brim with Void Creatures, both small and massive, their numbers alone dwarfing the army that had been outside.
However, there was a single Voidwalker left. The Assistant. He was the one that was putting the Shards together to reassemble the sword.
Each Shard that was reattached unleashed a powerful wave of Mana which made the Void Creatures stir and shift around, seemingly in discomfort.
The Assistant didn't dare look upwards, as even though he couldn't feel the presence of the being in front of him, his body still felt terrified.
'Faster. Faster!' He repeated in his mind. Sadly there was a fixed rate at which he could put the Shards in place as each time he did and it released a pulse of Mana, he was always at the forefront, and it injured him to endure such thick waves of Mana up close. If he did it too fast, he'd die.
Such a thought should have been elating for him, but instead, he just felt cold fear.
The Eminence… No, what had once been the Eminence was now something else.
Reality bent and twisted, unraveling around the dark figure that swallowed all light… and pretty much everything. Whether it was space, time, light, fate, or simple matter. Everything was being absorbed and reduced to nothing by its body.
The Void was faceless, featureless, and genderless, however, their body was more firmly put together than the writhing Void Creatures that surrounded them.
It was very tall, standing at nearly three meters, and once more, it had no presence to it, and you wouldn't even know it was in the same room as you unless you looked straight at it. And even that was hazy since it was reducing the light around its body to nothing.
"How Much Longer."A deep, ancient voice that The Assistant feared was older than existence itself echoed in his mind and he gasped as his mind felt on the verge of shattering.
"Gasp! 3… more… minutes… My Lord!" He panted and the Void went silent. It was impossible to tell what it was thinking, if it even could.
The Three minutes slowly went by, and the Assistant finally put in the last Shard.
When he did, a strange frequency left the now reassembled Legend Sword. Then a powerful wave of Mana, several times more intense than the last ones erupted from it and blew away everything close to it.
The Assistant was thrown back like a broken Kite while numerous Void Creatures got deleted on the spot.
The Assistant coughed up blood and struggled to sit up. But when he did, his eyes widened at what he saw.
A shimmering weapon could be seen floating serenely. The Legend Sword was a double-edged sword, the blade completely white with a myriad of colours surrounding it.
The Handle was a dark grey and was made from materials the Assistant couldn't even begin to name. And unlike the Void, this weapon had presence, presence so powerful that it was taking him everything he had to not prostrate himself.
It was simply beautiful.
But he couldn't admire its beauty for long as suddenly, the blade shot towards him at astonishing speed. Though it wasn't blade first, but Hilt first instead. And it was aimed for his hand.
His eyes widened as he realised what was about to happen.
'It wants me to be a vessel… No!' He immediately tried to get up and retreat. But he was much too battered and tired to do so. Not that it would have mattered anyway, as he suddenly found himself incapable of moving.
His eyes widened as he saw the hilt grow closer and closer to his palm, but right before it landed in it, a black hand suddenly grabbed the hilt.
The sword vibrated, then immense Mana erupted from it as it tried to free itself from the grasp, but in return, the hand released torrents of Void energy to counter the Mana.
The Legend Sword fought against the encroaching nothingness desperately, but the Void was still the Void. Avatar or not.
Soon, the Mana was fully overwhelmed, and the Assistant thought he heard an unwilling cry as the sword stopped resisting, its white blade now covered in unbelievably dense Void energy.
The Void expressed no satisfaction.
Instead, it simply shot up into the sky, passing through all the floor of the Voidwalkers base without resistance and soon, it was high in the sky.
It looked down on the world below, then shook its head slightly.
"So much effort is put into creating order. But in the end, all shall be returned to Nothingness."After that, the Void unleashed its Aura. But it wasn't like any Aura anyone knew.
Pitch black nothing erupted from its body and spread at impossible speeds. And in a few short seconds, the entire planet had been covered by this darkness.
The world trembled as wherever this darkness passed, reality started to unravel. But that wasn't all.
The Void held the Legend Sword high above its head, and then massive swathes of Void energy flowed into it until a massive black Sword was being held high above it. Discover exclusive tales on empire
"Return to Oblivion."It said quietly, then swung the weapon.
Its goal was to destroy the core of the world which, as long as it was in place, the world would come back to be, though the original inhabitants would obviously be dead.
Despite being an extension of its true body, the Avatar knew that it wouldn't be able to shatter the core on its own. But with the help of the Legend Sword.
The Void swung the weapon down. And as it passed, reality was getting destroyed and unraveled. The sky shattered and Mountains on the ground were getting erased from existence. The continents were shaking violently and showing signs of splitting apart, and the oceans were turning violent and turbulent. It seemed like the arrival of the apocalypse, and the blade hadn't even hit the ground yet.
And it was clear that the moment it did, the world would be destroyed.
However, it never had that chance.
CLANG
The descending blade of darkness was blocked and dispelled.
The Void slowly looked up and saw a blood red Katana Swirling with Annihilation energy stopping the Legend Sword from progressing any further.
And the hand holding it belonged to a dashingly handsome Man who was staring at the Void calmly.
"Okay, you've had your fun." He said calmly and the Void tilted its head.
"You do not belong here."It spoke and Christopher shrugged, then his Aura erupted.
It instantly dispelled the darkness that was surrounding the planet and he said calmly.
"I've heard that before."
