Chapter 91 The Beginning of The End II
The Beginning of The End II
The moment the upgrade was completed, Christopher wasted no time and immediately exited the Dimension to stop the attack that would have inevitably destroyed the planet.
As such, he didn't really have time to check his stats as he put his full attention on the Void.
'Oh well. I guess I'll figure it out as we fight.' Then with a slight grunt, Christopher pushed Void away with his sword and created some distance between them.
Void stared at him, then tilted its head ever so slightly, seemingly in confusion.
"Strange."It said and Christopher didn't answer it. Instead, he focused on enhancing himself.
In the brief exchange just now, he realised something. The laws of reality did not apply to Void. The entity followed a completely different set of rules than what anyone was used to.
How he knew this was because when they had clashed, Christopher didn't actually feel any sort of resistance or force crashing into him. How would he? After all, those are concepts, and the Void embodies nothing which means the absence of concepts such as force and resistance.
As such, how come his blade was halted? And why did he strain to push the Void away? The answer was fairly simple. The Void was nothing, and Mana was reality, or everything. If those two things met each other, there would undoubtedly be a collision since they counter each other.
So Christopher wasn't pushing against the Void itself… or rather he was. He was pushing against the Nothing, which was the Void, with everything, which was Mana.
(I really hope I explained that properly)
As such, he realised that his biggest advantage in this battle would be his Mana and the Mana of his Dimension. Which wasn't anything new, since that had been the case when he was combating the Void Creatures.
However, this was the first time that he actually felt some resistance when using his Mana to push against the Void energy, and so he knew that it wouldn't be as easy to deal with the Avatar as the normal Void Creatures.
But that was fine, since he knew that it was probably going to be the case.
He was already prepared for a hard battle, sl he was fully prepared for any unforeseen cards the Void could pull.
That said, he was going to do as much as he could before those cards would be revealed.
As such, he uttered calmly.
"Elemental Fusion: Transcendent Hellfire." As he said that, the surface of Scarlet changed.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
His colourless flames made their debut and surged on the surface of Scarlet, then they fused with the Annihilation energy and took on a red hue, and their lethality instantly multiplied by several times.
But that wasn't all as darkness suddenly surged on the blade and mixed with the red fire, turning it an eerie black and red color.
Reality warped around the blade as Christopher brandished it lightly, however, the seemingly simple action released a wave of pressure so intense that the land to Christopher's right was utterly devastated. The massive sand dunes of the desert were blown away like leaves facing a leaf blower and the hard earth beneath them cracked and shattered from the force.
'Holy-?!' Christopher showed no change in expression, but his heart trembled. He hadn't even moved that forcefully!
Even then, he kept his cool and spoke again.
"Elemental Fusion: Genesis Carapace." After that, a light shone over his body. His coat flapped around as hus Mana surged and soon condensed around his body, a swirl of colours, icy blue, brown, green, and electric blue all swirled around him and condensed to create an additional layer of armour over his body.
His normal armour simply looked like ordinary clothes, but with this it looked as though he now had a vest, arm and shin guards, pauldrons, and other significant pieces of armour over his body.
"Fascinating."The Void spoke, not at all sounding like it was in a hurry and watched Christopher finish the transformations.
"I assume that by the terms of those born by Creation, you'd be considered a Prodigy?"It asked and Christopher shrugged.
"Pretty much." Hearing this, The Void nodded.
"I see."And then without saying anything else, it moved.
Christopher narrowed his eyes as the Void instantly appeared in front of him, the entity completely ignoring the concept of distance and space to reach him in a mere moment.
Christopher was prepared though, and raised his sword to meet his opponent. And they clashed once more.

Immediately Christopher and The Void started to battle, the Void Creatures that had been waiting underground waited no more, and they all started to swarm out, eager to destroy everything.
In that same space, the figure of the Assistant could be seen in a corner, his body battered and bleeding. He stared at the swarm with an empty gaze. There was no sense of fulfillment or joy from the success of their mission. No, he just felt… tired.
'What was even the point of everything?' He thought. He had so Zealously believed that this was the way, that this was how things were meant to be, and that it was an honour to hasten the destruction of the world.
However, now that he had reached this point, all he felt was emptiness and regret. All his subordinates and colleagues were dead, his Master was dead, and even though his Lord had been summoned, he knew that he'd die along with the rest of the world.
'Ah… I see.' He thought despondently.
'It turns out… I still cared.' He realised.
To become a Voidwalker, one.needed to rid themselves of all unnecessary emotions. Like care, love, guilt, and so on.
He had thought he had completely removed his emotions. But now he realised that he hadn't, and had merely suppressed them to the point of believing he had. And something told him the same applied to every single one of their members. And that's when he had a realisation.
'How misguided we are. If Void Creatures never formed a cult that believed that Creation was the absolute will of everything and push for the Void to be eradicated. Then why would us, beings born of Creation, believe that the Void must reign supreme? That's why there is something called balance…' The Assistant sighed.
He felt like crushing his own skull over his stupidity and the fact that he hadn't realised such a simple fact sooner. But it didn't matter, he was going to die anyway, no point in crying over it…
"Hey." The Assistant paused. Did he just hear someone speak to him? No, he's probably just hallucinating-
"Hey don't make me smack you upside the head." The voice said again and he realised that he was indeed being spoken to. But by who? Everyone was dead.
He raised his head to see a pair of slitted pupils staring down at him. A beautiful Cat woman looked down on him, her face a beautiful mask of indifference.
Her tail swished behind her, seemingly in irritation. Or was it impatience.
"Wh-Who are…" His voice was hoarse. Who was this person? She looked familiar. However he had no time to dwell.
She suddenly put her hand on his shoulder, and in the next moment, everything shifted.
'Huh?' He thought blankly. His surroundings had changed. But before he could look around, his eyes suddenly widened and he was struck by a soul wrenching pain.

Immediately Christopher started fighting the Void,.his subordinates went to work.
The various armies, now his, all stood up after the enhancement and upgrade completed, and Chiara had used magic to essentially transport all the knowledge of what they needed to do into their brains to save themselves the stress of explaining.
Everything was moving so fast, but now that everyone here had been enhanced to be much stronger and sharper, they grasped the situation with ease. Experience more tales on empire
Since Christopher was dealing with the Void, their goals was the combat the army of Void Creatures as well as contain the rift that was allowing them to pour into the world
So when Titus found himself in the desert again, he felt strange.
Obviously his strength had soared and he was now at the peak of the Purple rank and on the verge of entering the Silver rank, his body and Physique had changed as well as he had obvious gotten his bloodline awakened, and now that he was considered an inhabitant of the Dimension, he also had access to the incredibly pure and dense Mana it produced.
He looked at his sword and then he looked up. There he could see two unbelievably powerful Auras clashing, one of them embodying nothingness and aimed to destroy the world, and the other representing Creation and countering this nothingness.
Both Auras fought for dominance and Titus felt like he was being suffocated despite being so far down on the ground. From what he could ascertain, the two people fighting were currently at the apex of the atmosphere. He couldn't see them, but he could at least feel the powerful presence of Creation, and if that was there, then the Void probably was as well.
Part of him felt a sense of pride, his master singlehandedly fighting against an existential threat that would destroy the world if he wasn't careful.
Another part of him felt strange knowing that all of this was a massive ploy orchestrated by his master, and it wasn't an exaggeration to say that the Void being summoned was technically his fault.
However, he wasn't mad. He assumed that was because of the new loyalty that came with being his Master's subordinate, but no, he genuinely didn't mind being used like this. Mostly due to the fact that if Christopher won this battle, Titus' life would become a whole lot better than it was a couple hours ago.
"Well then Princess." Titus spoke calmly and faced forward, he could already see the members of Christopher's cohorts once again engaging the powerful abominations in the sky, though much lower than their master.
"Let's see how much better we've gotten then." He spoke to Aisha who he had ascertained her identity at this point.
The Elven girl who had now taken off her helmet glanced at him and shrugged, though she looked amused.
"Sure. After you."
What do you think?
