Chapter 89 Here Goes
Here Goes
It took everything Titus had to stand grounded as the first of the devastating collisions occurred between the beings fighting very high in the sky.
Just a few seconds ago, the two armies had collided, the combined forces of the races being aided by the incredibly powerful Undead and Wolves supplied by his elder disciples.
And not too long after, they began their battles as well.
Titus spared a glance upwards and his eyes widened at what he saw.
The sky seemed to have been shattered and bathed in a plethora of colours as figures moved at utterly terrifying speeds.
It was then that he realised that his elder disciples had unleashed powerful domains that were affecting the world itself.
On one side, a bright silver moon hung in the sky and around it, it looked as though night time had appeared as there were stars around it as well.
In another part, the sky had turned black and blue, and at its peak, an accretion disk of a black hole could be seen, and next to it was a bright blue bolt of lightning that was simply scary to look at.
In another part, a bright white orb that resembled the sun painted the sky with a pure white radiance that seemed capable of eviscerating anything that came close, and next to it, the sky had turned so dark that it was hard to look at, and in its center was a vague outline of what looked like a solar Eclipse.
Another part had turned a Crimson red and one could smell blood just from looking at it, and in its center was a blood red eye, the pupil taking the shape of a drop of blood.
Lastly, a part of the sky had turned a sinister black and purple and reeked of death, the center of it being taken up by a large black and purple skull with the Jaw open, making it seem as though it was laughing. And maybe it was.
Titus felt like exclaiming in exasperation, just what sort of insanities were his elder disciples???
And the insane thing was that the Domains were technically supposed to be a small pocket space, the only reason that wasn't the case right now was that the members of the cohort wanted to be able to keep an eye on what was happening below, so they made them semi-isolated.
This was important as not only did it allow them to see the armies, it also helped dampen the impact of their attacks and clashes with their opponents, making it so that they didn't accidentally turn all their allies into meat paste.
And yet.

'Why the hell is it so hard to even move?!' Titus shouted in his mind as another harrowing shockwave passed through his body causing him to pause and collect himself.
Sadly, he had no more time to pay attention to the chaos that was the sky and pay attention to what was in front of him.
Allowing the strengthening of the Totems to wash over him. Titus entered a stance and faced his first Void Creature.

'D-Damn.' It didn't take long for all the armies to completely abandon formation and just start fighting. There was almost no order and it was difficult to focus on a single opponent without getting attacked from a blindspot.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Titus gritted his teeth and let light flood his body as he evaded the strikes of two Voidwalkers. Unlike the Void Creatures, these guys were a lot smarter with how they attacked and forced him into a defensive position.
Their coordination wasn't perfect, but it was enough to keep him from exploding with his true strength without risking an injury.
Titus noticed out of the corner of his eye a few Void Creatures that were getting closer and cursed. If nothing changed soon, he'd be in trouble.
He turned towards his attackers and his brain went into overdrive. He observed what he could and judged the best way to go all out the next moment without getting injured too seriously.
However, in the next moment, something suddenly flashed. One of the Voidwalkers was a moment too late, and in the next moment, an arrow pierced his neck.
His companion was stunned for an instant, but that was all Titus needed. His body flashed and a moment later, he was behind the Voidwalker who froze, then their head slowly slid off their body followed by a fountain of blood spraying from their neck.
Titus looked in the direction of the Arrow and saw a delicate Elven girl holding a finely crafted wooden bow. She wore a light green leather armour and a metal helmet that hid most of her facial features, revealing just her eyes. She was already in the process of drawing another arrow.
Titus fought his way through several more abominations, some of which had been killed with some suspiciously convenient arrows by the girl who, surprisingly, hadn't moved from her spot, but was still pretty much unharmed.
"Hey! Wanna partner up?!" Titus had to shout over the fighting and the girl briefly glanced at him before nodding.
Titus let out a satisfied Nod and looked around. Then he frowned slightly.
'Weird, no Voidwalkers or Creatures are coming towards this spot.' He glanced at the girl who seemed completely unperturbed.
'It must be her. An Illusion maybe?' He thought.
"Follow my instructions." She spoke calmly and Titus blinked, but before he could ask why, she spoke again.
"To your left, slash vertically in 3… 2…" Titus tensed unconsciously as he heard the countdown and looked to his left, however, there wasn't anything there… well, nothing too close anyway.
"1!" She shouted and Titus ended up complying regardless. And to his surprise, the moment he swung his sword, he felt it bite into something. Flesh.
A pained cry was heard as a figure suddenly materialised, Titus' sword halfway through their right lung. It was a Voidwalker.
'What the?! I didn't even sense them!' He exclaimed inwardly. However, his blade never stopped moving and then with a grunt, he sliced the guy in half.
"Hey-" Titus turned to the Girl when she suddenly let an arrow fly And it missed his face by mere inches, and he heard the sound of impact behind him followed by something falling.
He took a glance back and saw another Voidwalker who had silently emerged from the ground with an arrow sticking out of the mask dead on the floor.
"Stick with me." She said again and drew her bow and Titus gulped.

Aisha sighed and let loose another arrow, using her Affinity with fate, she had reduced the probability of being seen by enemies during the battle, which is why the space around her had been so empty. However, after Titus joined up with her, the effects lessened as the spell only applied to herself and not him, and thus was less effective.
Still she wasn't perturbed.
Her mind moved as she perceived many possible futures that would occur within the next few seconds and wasted no time relaying that information to Titus.
The two of them, despite never having fought together, moved with an eerie cohesion, mostly due to Aisha knowing what to do and where to be at the right time. As such, they were able to slay Voidwalkers and Creatures with ease.
Physical ease that is.
Titus still needed to be sharp enough to carry out her instructions, but Aisha had it even worse, her brain was going into overdrive as she had to divide her attention between possible futures and the battlefield as well, putting a heavy strain on her mind.
Unlike Felicia who's brain functioned like a Supercomputer and Christopher who was simply better, her thought processing speed could be considered fairly good at best.
Not to mention that perceiving The future cost Mana. Still she was certain she would be able to keep things up for a while.
'Not that it matters.' She thought calmly as they encountered another Void creature. She gave a quick set of commands and Titus was somehow able to move and deflect every single Void tentacle as if he knew where they would be. And he did.
Moreover, after pushing them away, there was a miniscule crack that appeared in the things defenses. And an arrow was already flying before the crack even appeared.
The arrow flew with immaculate aim and went through the crack and plunged into the core of the Void Creature which shuddered before disintegrating.
Aisha then brought out a dagger from a sheath on her waist and calmly jabbed it forward. She felt the blade plunge into flesh followed by a grguled scream. And without looking back, she twisted it and removed it. Very unlike the calm and slightly naive Elven girl.
'It should be starting soon.' She thought as she and Titus continued to fight their way through hordes of abominations and Voidwalkers. As for what she was referring to…
She briefly opened her eyes to the threads if Fate and looked up. With so many people in one place, the sheer number of Fate threads was already overwhelming to look at. But she was the daughter of the Elven Queen and more often than not observed the Fates of the Millions of Elves Who lived in the kingdom. So while she couldn't sustain looking at so many Fate threads at once, she could do it long enough.
She looked upwards to where the threads went and seemed to converge and saw how in the sky, the threads all connected into a massive tapestry. However, something was changing. Actually, something had been changing for a while now.
Something Aisha never told her daughter, or anyone else in fact, was how she noticed that at its apex, the tapestry of Fate was slowly being reweaved. When she first saw it, she couldn't believe her eyes and nearly risked overlooking her brain due to staring at it for so long.
But as time passed, she knew, she knew someone was slowly changing the very direction of fate. And she was the only one that knew this.
As such, she knew that very soon, something was about to happen to every single person on this battlefield.
The Fates of those people who were the Subordinates of Christopher were interconnected and seemed to trace back to the same source. And something told her that when whatever happened happened, they would be the same.
She didn't know how to feel about that.
But there was also a reason why she didn't say anything. That was because she realised that there was an alternative, but not a good one. And that alternative was simple. Nothing.
She realised that, if what was going on with fate didn't happen, then there was simply nothing that awaited them, because they'd cease to exist. So it was easy to infer that the Void would succeed in that case.
And So she kept silent, both because she didn't want to cause any interference to whatever the mysterious Weaver, whom she was certain was Christopher, and also because she wouldn't be able to change anything as what was going on was far, far above her league.
She hated it, but she really had no choice but to sit down and watch.
And eventually, that point arrived.
A change suddenly occurred and everyone paused, then a powerful wave of Mana suddenly erupted from the Voidwalkers base and swept over the entire army. And not just them, the wave was so powerful that it went across the planet.
Titus exclaimed and Aisha gritted her teeth.
'It's starting.'

Meanwhile, Christopher weaved the last thread and sighed as a notification appeared in front of him.
[The Requirements have been met. The Master can recall everything belonging to his Dimension and upgrade it.] Christopher nodded and sent a mental command to the cohort before mumbling.
"Here goes."
What do you think?
