The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 142

142 Check Up

Now that Kate had finished, General Ryan looked at the little girl. “Do you need Uncle’s help to take a bath?”

Kate shook her head rapidly. “No, I can take a bath by myself!”

Thinking that the little girl might be shy, General Ryan laughed. “Alright, I’ll prepare some clothes for you.”

“Thank you, Uncle!” Kate answered sweetly.

General Ryan smiled even wider and walked out while humming happily. He bumped onto Kyle who had already prepared a set of little girl’s clothes in his hand. Kyle looked at his father unkindly.

“She’s my daughter.”

“I’m just helping you since it seems that you’re not that qualified to be a father yet.” General Ryan snorted.

You, a bachelor for more than 20 years, know how to take care of a child?

I would rather believe that the sky is going to fall.

.....

Kyle rolled his eyes but he still put the clothes in the basket near the door of the bathroom. After that, he went back to his own room to take a bath.

Splash! Splash!

Playing with water, Kate happily took a bath.

It has been a long time since the last time she took a bath as a human. Before this, she would just take a bath while being in a cat’s form. After all, it was too much of a hassle to take a bath as a human.

Hmmm, why did it sound as if she had completely accepted that she had become part human and part cat?

Kate shivered a bit at the thought.

Habits are really scary.

Splash! Splash!

It didn’t take long for Kate to finish taking a bath. She looked at her furry white clothes and then thought about what would happen if she were to turn into a cat and then changed back to human?

Would she wear clothes again when she turned back into a human?

With that, Kate tried it.

Poof!

Turning back into a human, Kate found out that she had already worn another dress. The dress that she wore before were still in front of her, but she was already wearing a new dress.

Kate’s expression turned strange.

Why did she feel like a bug that could summon clothes?

Anyway, with this, Kate didn’t need to wear the clothes from others. At the breakfast, Kate told General Ryan and Kyle that she will always wear a clothes after turning back from cat to human being.

That way, she didn’t need any new clothes.

“The clothes I brought is pretty cute. Are you sure that you don’t want to try?” Kyle asked.

Kate blinked her eyes and then turned to look at the basket. She slowly stepped closed and looked at the clothes. It was children dress that was decorated nicely. So nice and colorful, which suited girl her age so much.

But her mentality was already that of a 21 years old... Kate really couldn’t imagine herself wearing a dress like this again after she grew up.

“But...”

“Little Kitty didn’t like it?” Kyle asked, his voice sounded a bit sad.

Kate looked at Kyle and felt that he was playing foul. How could she reject him when he was making such a face.

In the end, Kate returned to the bathroom and changed her dress to the one that Kyle prepared for her. The white furry dress was brought out and Kyle took it. He looked at the dress and felt that the soft materials felt like fur.

“I’m going to the military base. Do you want to come along?”

“I’m going to go to the research institute. In the afternoon, I’ll go with the others for the mission.” Kyle was texting Dylan and Jake about the mission they were given. In fact, he felt that Dylan should have known about this mission considering that the one who issued it was his mother.

“Ok.” General Ryan nodded.

“We’re going to the Research Institute?” Kate tilted her head in confusion. Right now, she’s wearing a hat that could cover her furry ear. She didn’t understand why Kyle wanted to go there.

“Yes.” Kyle looked at Kate and carried her to the car.

Kate was confused, but she still followed Kyle. When they were there, they headed directly to Dr. Dall’s lab. As usual, he was still meddling with some tubes in his hand and looked quite confused.

“Are you busy, Dr. Dall?” Kyle asked.

“Huh?” Dr. Dall turned around. Upon seeing that it was this famous troublemaker, he rolled his eyes. “What are you even doing here? I thought that there’s someone important who come.”

“Am I not important?” Kyle arched his eyebrows.

“No, you’re too important.” Dr. Dall gritted his teeth and answered against his conscience.

Kyle nodded in acknowledgement. “I’m borrowing your equipment again. Also, can you check the materials for this clothes?”

“Fine.”

Dr. Dall took the dress from Kyle and arched his eyebrows in surprise. He turned to look at the little kid beside Kyle and his mouth widened in disbelief. It was only now he realized that Kyle was carrying a little girl. “This... this...?”

“Little Kitty.” Kyle glanced at Dr. Dall and then took the tubes and other equipment.

The research institute was empty today, so there were no one else aside from some researchers who were holed up in their lab. No one asked Kyle why he brought a little girl when he first came since they couldn’t even meet him.

“No, that’s impossible!” Dr. Dall yelled in disbelief.

Kyle glanced at Dr. Dall but was too lazy to explain. He moved to Kate. “Let me borrow your hand a little bit, ok? It wouldn’t hurt.”

Kate looked at Kyle and realized that he hadn’t given up on finding out whether she’s a human being or a cat. She sighed deeply and extended her hand, allowing Kyle to take a drop of blood.

On the other hand, Dr. Dall couldn’t remain calm in the slightest bit.

This little girl is Little Kitty?

Little Kitty that’s supposed to be a cat?

How could this damn Kyle told him to calm down after throwing such a bomb to his face? Dr. Dall felt like scolding this man vigorously.

He took a deep breath. “Say, how did she turn into a human being?”

“She accidentally took a different gem.” Kyle made up an excuse.

“Different gem?”

“A transparent with black color.” Kyle then glanced at Dr. Dall. “Have you heard that this gem is somewhat different?”

“Do you think my authorities are higher than you?” Dr. Dall scolded, but he still thought about it. Even if Kyle had higher authorities, there were things that were not privy to Kyle because they were afraid of him. This was the reason why Kyle chose to ask Dr. Dall.

“From what I know, there are already 12 established color with different effect. That black transparent color is the only one that hadn’t been known the use because no one has been able to use it so far. Perhaps...”

Looking at Kate, Dr. Dall guessed that the transparent crystals might be useful for half or pets. After all, even if they could absorb a gem, that had to be suitable to their own inner talent.

“Give me all the black transparent gems.”

“There’s none here.” Dr. Dall rolled his eyes. “Do you think this gem is so common? Even the crystals’ source is very rare. It is said that only one amongst millions of giant mutated animals could produce this black transparent crystal.”

“So rare?” Kate asked in surprise.

When Kate spoke, Dr. Dall’s eyes widened once more. He looked at Kate as if seeing both a monster and an interesting test subject. He really really really wanted to find out how this little cat could turn into a human being.

“Do some checkup. I want to know if she’s healthy or not.”

“Fine.”

Dr. Dall sighed and then helped Kate to measure her height and weight. After that, he checked her blood pressure, temperature, and so on. After taking everything, he glanced at Kyle, “She’s perfectly healthy.”

“That’s good.” Kyle smiled.

Kate blinked her eyes. With her healing abilities, would it be possible for her not to be healthy? Well, that healing ability might not be omnipotent, so she would still need regular checkup.

Afterwards, Kyle finished at the data inserted and the DNA result came out.

It was a completely different DNA from what he had obtained before. This is a genuine DNA that belonged to human being.

“Two different sets of DNA in one body?” Kyle looked at Kate deeply, but Kate was staring at the test paper in surprise. She naturally didn’t understand any of them, but she never expected that there would be such a case in her.

The only possibility for one person to have two different DNA was for some special case of twins in which one of them died in the embryo. There was a special name for that, but Kate had completely forgotten about it.

But this time...

It’s a completely different DNA without any match between each other yet they belonged in the same person.

How outrageous.
