The Otherworldly Adventures of a Super Naive Girl

Chapter 176: Holiday

Chapter 176: Holiday

Ink shrugged. He didnt have to ask to know what Pei was thinking. Ink was being honest. A good friend had indeed told him, but hed also promised not to go there or involve himself with it until he passed through Xingguang and held in his possession one of the stones.[notes]

Ah, so thats why. Pei stopped probing.

Knowing what the stone was and what it did made the students who hadnt completed the task light up with enthusiasm. They were motivated! They wanted to enter the virtual world as soon as possible.

Feng Wus stone didnt get much attention earlier, but now there was a crowd forming around her to look at it. She wasnt stingy and readily showed them the stone.

They talked about the stone all day, fascinated about the virtual world.

Mage Division.

Ai Lin looked at the A-level stone in her hand. The excitement shone in her eyes. The virtual world. It was a magical place, similar to holograph online games, only this one didnt need an internet connection, game helmets, or controllers. The only thing needed was the stone.

There was a big secret inside the world. Originally Zi Cheng would catch the attention of a bigshot and he would teach her a bunch powerful, lost spells, making her even stronger. Afterwards she would bring him out to the real world and together they would rain down blood and destruction.

Thats right, Zi Chengs main love interest was from the virtual world. He was a direct descendent of one of the big families. He came from a powerful background, was incredibly handsome, and spoiled Zi Cheng rotten. In short he was the quintessential hero.

Che! Its just a stone. Do you have to stare at it for so long?! Yifu huffed angrily.

Yifu had been bothering Ai Lin ever since Ai Lin got the inheritance. She was like an annoying fly that kept buzzing.

Ai Lin turned to look at Yifu thinking that this girl really was a minor character, cannon fodder all the way.

Yifu wanted to say more, but was pulled away by Zi Cheng. She could only hope her gaze was lethal enough to kill Ai Lin.

Ai Lin: Whatever.

First semester classes were mostly theoretical, even Sword division ones were no exception. Sword users were clearly a more practical combat division, yet they were no exception. Students in the division were disappointed their teachers didnt give them any practical combat lessons. They could only hope for next year; these theory classes were so boring!

Soon enough classes ended and most students went home. Jier and Ink were no exception. Feng Wu's roommates left too so she was the only one in the dorm.

She collected her things intending to go stay with the Tian family.[notes] Feng Wu didnt know the meaning of polite and had nodded her head agreeing the moment the idea came up.

It was wonderful. There would be people to make food and help take care of Little Bun. Perfect.

The only sad thing was not being able to eat at the dining hall. Even though Little White was an amazing nanny,[notes] the food she made didnt satisfy Feng Wus belly.

Tian Kes aunt and uncle worked at the dining hall, so when school closed, they were left to idle at home with nothing to do.

Feng Wu got a warm welcome when she arrived. Tian Yue[notes] even took Little Bun away. Tian Yue said she would die if she stayed idle any longer.

Xiao Wu, was the battleground fun? I heard there are lots of powerful guys there. Did you meet any? Tian Yues son asked wide-eyed.

There was.

How powerful? Was it like the Demon race you met last time in Rime-Frost? Tian Yues daughter joined in.

Feng Wu thought for a moment. This one was more powerful.

Wow! How did you defeat him? Did an envoy from Star Marshall hall[notes] help?

Tian Ke was most interested in the envoy from Star Marshall hall. This little guy had dreamt of working there since he was little.

No. Feng Wu shook her head. Xiao Chun[notes] defeated him.

Xiao Chun? Whos that?

Xiao Chun is Xiao Chun. He is my friend. Feng Wu blinked.

The three munchkins sighed.

Xiao Wu, tell us more about the battlegrounds. You were saying something about it before. Start from the beginning OK? Tian Yus daughter asked.

OK. Feng Wu didnt refuse and told them what had happened. But as was her habit, she only talked about what happened after the group entered the battleground. Since no one asked what happened before it, she didnt tell them anything about the blood rain in town or the demon babies.[notes]

Feng Wu recounted everything from the time she entered the battleground to the time she left, about everyone involved and everything that happened all in a monotone.

Regret. They should have known better than to ask her to tell it to them. They should have waited for Jier! Theyd wanted to hear about the adventure, but the way Feng Wu told it it wasnt an adventure! It was like a report! She had no talent for storytelling!

It didn't dawn on Feng Wu the three little guys were dissatisfied.

Tian Yue was sitting there with Little Bun on her lap and the kids on either side of her. She nearly laughed out loud at the scene. How fun! The kids looked so adorably deflated!
