Chapter 2649 Doppler's Armageddon
Chapter 2649 Doppler's Armageddon
The Radiant was no ordinary Master.
He was one of the strongest even before he consumed the Blood of Solaris, which in turn had great synergy with the Martial Bodies of the sol Martial Artists. He was able to draw power from the Sun, which he could very smoothly convert into light energy.
Every cell in his body began glowing with immense power as he shined with tremendous intensity. His entire body became a silhouette of blindingly intense light that shined far, far beyond where the eye could see.
The amount of energy he absorbed was not low, either.
All that light was coming from somewhere. What he absorbed was light that the rest of the nation was deprived of. Thus, while he became brighter than even the Sun, the rest of the nation was deprived of all its light, spreading night across the nation and beyond.
And then he was ready.
"DIE!" he unleashed a hyper-focused attack on Rui, one that was too small to be split by the Double Slit Defense.
The sheer intensity of the attack rocked the world while all of heaven and earth boiled with its intensity.
In an instant, the attack pierced through Rui.
Or, at least, an empty image of him. A feint.
"DON'T YOU DARE HIDE FROM ME, YOU FILTHY FIEND!" the Radiant bellowed with rage as he unleashed a vast array of light energy in a violent maelstrom.
Much to Radiant's displeasure, the fact that this was a light contest didn't prohibit Rui from using his non-light-oriented systems of thought. This meant that nothing stopped Rui from deploying predictive models and SOUL models against his opponents.
And yet, while he had developed predictive models against all his opponents, he had developed a SOUL model on one and only one person.
"Stop running, coward!" the Radiant gritted his teeth as he unleashed a tsunami of electromagnetic radiation. "Face me head-on!"
Rui scoffed with a hint of amusement as he maneuvered through the battlefield using a special maneuvering technique that he had created. Rather than generating his own light as thrust, he created a technique that allowed him to leverage pressure differentials in light in either direction.
On his front side, he created a domain that absorbed light, and on the other, a domain that reflected light. Because he was on a battlefield with such an astronomical amount of light present, he could leverage it to propel himself forward.
Simultaneously, he activated Neo Godspeed, allowing him to move around with even greater speed. That, in combination with his systems of thought, was enough to allow him to avoid the enormous laser show that his opponent was putting on.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!
VMMMMMHHH!!!
He unleashed a truly tremendous amount of power as hundreds of blinding beams of light emerged from his body, each with the power of a grade-ten attack. The sheer energy he outputted began eliminating all the other Masters one by one as they found it impossible to keep up with his output, be it through maneuvering, defense, or offense.
This, in turn, reduced the amount of light that was on the battlefield, reducing the thrust that even Rui received. And yet, he was hardly done. "Temporal Disharmony."
A hypnosis that was cast through the medium of light was just dependent on light enough not to be disqualifying, slowing down the Radaint significantly.
That was not all.
CRACKLE CRACKLE CRACKLE!!!
The amount of electricity that he had gathered in his domain across the battle had crossed an important threshold, allowing him to unleash the final technique that he had prepared for this battle. "Doppler's Armageddon."
BOOOOOOOM!!!!
He launched himself at the Radiant with Yin-Yang Spears for a leap, setting the atmosphere ablaze with the sheer momentum that he sprung towards the Radiant while converting all the electrical energy into a channeled focus beam of light.
VMMMMMMHHHH!!!!
The inherent energy of the light was powerful, but what made it even stronger was the energy that Rui imparted to it with his leap. When light was launched from a moving body, its speed didn't change, what changed was its wavelength. The greater the kinetic energy it gained from its launch, the greater the frequency.
The greater the frequency, the greater the power.
He launched the domain itself with greater velocity, imparting even greater energy to the ensuing light beam. All in all, he imparted such a tremendous amount of energy to his light attack that it caused the light to become invisible due to visible light turning into gamma radiation.
An attack so great that not even all the light that the Radiant had absorbed from the Sun was enough to protect him.
BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!
"AAAAHHHRRR!!!" the Radiant howled with agony as the toxic gamma radiation overcame his light defenses, washing over his entire body. If not for the Blood of Solaris that he had already consumed, he would have died then and there from the radiation poisoning.
When the spectacle was over, the man's beautiful golden flesh was burned, charred black, the color that he hated so much. The other Martial Masters grew horrified at the sight to think that the Radiant, their greatest Master, was rendered into such a filthy and cursed state.
That, too, in the field of light-bending against an opponent that also faced several dozens of Martial Masters simultaneously.
"You…" A whisper escaped the Radiant. "You're a monster…"
His eyes rolled backward as his ash-black body collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
There was only one man left standing.
"The Royal Solaris Contest comes to an end," the invigilator Sage calmly announced. "The winner is none other than Prince Rui Quarrier Silas Kandria."
A smile emerged on his face as his Realms of power powered down. "That was fun."
He unsealed his memories and got rid of the fake ones, restoring his old mastery and muscle memory.
"Nice win!" Amare cheered for him as she clapped with innocent enthusiasm, earning a warm smile from Rui.
And yet, the remaining Masters and Sages were simply frozen where they were, unable to fathom what they had just borne witness to. It was the birth of a new legend.
