Chapter 82: Juicy Rewards (2/2)
"This short sword looks badass," Almond commented as he took out the next item—Sword of Wildered.
The short sword had a rich dark green wooden handle with rose-red patterns, and the sword's main part was even more unique—a sleek green crystal blade.
[Sword of Wildered]
-Grade: [Rare/High].
-Attack: 200 + [110% of user's Strength]
-Perks(s):
—> +10 Strength, +15 Stamina, +5 Focus, +15 Health.
-Effect(s):
—> (Active) Wild Blade: Unleashes a slash-projectile that deals damage based on your Strength and Mana consumption. The slash gets stronger the more it travels, up to 500 meters for +200% bonus damage. Cooldown: 1 minute.
—> (Passive) Blood Drinker: The sword absorbs the blood, either yours or your opponent's, and increases its attack by 5%, up to a 100% increase.
"It's a high-tier rare grade!" Natalia exclaimed. "You don't get these even on the 2nd floor."
"True," Roken nodded. "And this sword is even good. Two effects and almost maximum perk value."
"Its active skill's cooldown is very low," Julian narrowed his eyes. "You can abuse this as a long-range one-shotter."
"Indeed, this is not bad at all," Almond raised his eyebrows. "I'll use this until my Super-grade sword is ready. And then I'll use dual wielding because it sounds fun and powerful."
"Knowing you, you'll do crazy good even with dual-wielding swords," Lily grinned. "I do dual-wielding daggers, and it's fun."
"Dual wielding is good, but it also consumes more stamina and mana. This is good when it comes to fighting a strong single monster to want to finish it faster," Julian said as he looked at Almond. "Getting adequate mastery in dual wielding is important for that, but I suppose you won't have any problem with that. Do you have some kind of innate talent related to the sword? Because your sword mastery is very high from what I saw during your combat power evaluation."
"You can say that, yeah. And I'll keep my word of giving you pointers in sword training," Almond smiled and picked up the next orb before taking out its item.
[Amulet of Blood Berserker]
-Grade: [Rare/High]
-Defense: +200 Physical Def.
-Perk(s):
—> +10 Perception, +8 Focus, +20 Health.
-Effect(s):
—> (Passive) Blood Berserker: The lower your vitality, the stronger your strength. You also gain Lifesteal, absorbing the vitality of the targets you bleed with your weapon. The lifesteal effect is doubled, and you also recover stamina if you attack with your fists and come into contact with the enemy's blood.
—> (Active) Crimson Warrior: When your vitality drops below 30%, you can activate Crimson Warrior to increase your Strength by 200% for 10 seconds. Cooldown: 1 hour.
"These are some crazy effects," Lily muttered. "This can actually make someone unkillable if they are good with fist fights."
"Damn, Pugilists-type adventurers will go crazy for this item," Roken said. "They fight with bare fists because of their class, so pairing them with this item will make them unkillable against same-rank mobs."
"Yes, but I have a very good use for this," Almond's eyes glinted. "I'll have to try this new tactic I just thought of against a strong boss."
"I know what you're thinking," Lily looked at him. "You want to use Divine Divider's Harvest to get Strength, drop your vitality below 30%, and use this skill, right? Attacking after that is going to be catastrophic."
"Fuck, that's just too op!" Natalia was dumbfounded.
"What does Divine Divider's Harvest do, bro? If you don't mind telling."
"I'll leave it a suspense for now," Almond faintly smiled. "You'll see that tomorrow when we enter the Dungeon."
"Anyway, it's time to begin the final course," Almond took out the Super-rank Item Ticket and Grand Abyss Labyrinth Roulette Ticket.
Natalia stood with a smug expression, both of her hands stretched forward. "Thee shall receive Divine Witch Natalia's fortune."
"Haha, there's no way you will get lucky all the time," Roken laughed. "Time to get exposed."
"Foolish," Natalia said with a disdainful expression.
Almond sent the tickets on her palms and said, "Alright, let's see you roll high again. At least, I'll hope that because I'd benefit."
Natalia began as she closed her eyes and uttered gibberish while moving both of her hands holding the tickets.
"You first," Natalia spoke, her voice deep as she raised the right hand holding the Super-grade item ticket.
"If you're luck ritual is the real deal," Lily crossed her arms as she said, "Then it should be a high-tier Super-grade item."
"Boom Shakalaka!" Natalia shouted and used the ticket. It shattered and turned into motes before transforming into a fancy black robe with a waist-belt attached. It looked pretty cool with dark gold and crystal blue patterns on the fabric.
Everyone quickly inspected the item.
[Nightfall Ebonox Robe]
-Grade: Super / High
-Defense:
—> +200 Physical Def.
—> +400 Magic Def.
-Perk(s):
—> +40 Mana, +14 Focus, +16 Perception, +20 Strength.
-Effect(s):
—> (Active) Nightfall Retreat: This effect can only be activated during the night. Using it will make the user invisible from all senses for 10 minutes. Cooldown: 1 hour. Cost: 200 Mana.
—> (Active) Darkness Surge: Upon using this effect, the user can produce dark-elemental energy for five seconds (doubles during the night) to give their next skill or attack the dark-attribute for bonus damage based on the amount of darkness energy produced during five seconds. The darker the place, the more dark energy is produced. Cooldown: 30 seconds. Cost: 50 Mana.
"…"
"No way, she got divine powers of luck?" Roken wondered with a disbelief expression. "No way."
"She is just on a lucky streak, or maybe this item ticket was supposed to give a Super-grade high-tier item in the first place," Julian said as he rolled his eyes.
"Tsk, tsk, you dare doubt my divine might, foolish mortal," Natalia shook her head with lament. She threw the robe at Almond and focused on the other ticket.
"Well, we'll find out the reality soon with that ticket," Almond chuckled as he put away the robe in his storage pouch.
"Do it," Lily said, staring at the exotic metallic black ticket with dark gold metallic patterns.
Natalia used the ticket, and it actually burst into colorful sparks that turned into a big roulette with five sections.
