The moment Dai Taiyin let out the concentrated beam of attack, the eyelids of the two women in front of Ja Sun twitched. The moment they opened their eyes due to him relieving them of his shock energy and Nightmare's Fantasy snapping them up from their unconscious states, their instincts kicked in. Although the two women had just woken up and were unaware of their surroundings, they could see the attack in front of them. Two sets of six spirit rings materialized and they slashed at the beam with pitch-black spirit energy gushing out. It was the last of their spirit energy and it worked well in decreasing the attack strength of the beam as they were swept away.

*Bang*

The two bodies fell out of the stage. The previously beautiful women had lost their grace. Their hair was now almost burnt off and their skins charred.

Sucking in a breath of cold air, Ja Sun silently saw the medics quickly cover the woman's bodies and then treat them before glancing at Dai Taiyin with an obvious hint of admiration.

'The attack's strength can be manipulated and aside from external injuries, they only suffer from the exhaustion of spirit energy. But... this attack still takes a toll. He cannot be running on unlimited energy. When only three minutes are left...'

Ja Sun's tolerance was three minutes. Once that is reached, he planned to forsake another one of the rewards and take Dai Taiyin out.

"Such ruthlessness, my god, you shouldn't be allowed to be a parent," he smiled. His words spread through the force of spirit energy and the cheering audience fell silent. Whom should they cheer for?

The one who takes hostages?

Or the one who disregards the hostages?

While civilians fell in a dilemma, the entirety of spirit masters watching, including the evil spirit masters, took Dai Taiyin's side instantly.

The two opponents had only stopped for the moment and Ja Sun retreated once again. This time, too, his aim was to grab the white tiger clan members for the ransom. Dai Taiyin's giant body instantly gave chase. He couldn't openly use his sixth skill to produce the devouring force and accidentally kill his own teammate, risking disqualification nor could he openly use the attack of his skull bone for the same matter.

Seeing this, Ja Sun shrugged and let go of the burdensome unconscious body and within an instant, the giant but nimble body of the white tiger appeared on that location and swiped his paws, making the remaining members fly off the stage.

Now aside from Dai Taiyin giving chase and Ja Sun running around, there was nobody else on the stage.

Every viewer watched the final moments of the match intently.

Dai Taiyin was running out of spirit energy and Ja Sun was running out of time and his only apprehension was not to get injured.

"Stop running!"

The white tiger's growl was similar to a great rumble as his sixth spirit ring flickered again.

'Getting injured it is,' Ja Sun clicked his tongue. This was one of the rare moments where he did not want to be injured but only four minutes remained and he needed to act quickly.

Giving up on the core of Emerald Swan Monarch, Ja Sun stopped and fully converted his momentum to shoot back as Dai Taiyin opened his mouth. In the space between his jaws, the air visibly rippled, and with a pitch-black point in the middle, a large vortex came to be that attracted Ja Sun's body towards Dai Taiyin further.

"Admit defeat!" Dai Taiyin's valiant roar shook the arena as everyone grew nervous seeing Ja Sun entering towards the vortex. For a moment, Ja Sun's expression fell into a daze before his eyes brightened.

'What would happen... if I entered Taiyin's mouth in this form and he turns back into a human?'

A spirit sage with a beast-type martial soul will have its seventh ring as a Spirit Avatar. Unlike Spirit Transformation that partially shifts the user's body to that of a particular beast, this Spirit Avatar is complete. So, what Ja Sun faced wasn't Dai Taiyin but a true White Tiger Spirit Beast with strength around 60000-70000 years and the ability to cast six other spirit techniques and two more Spirit bone abilities!

But, what would happen if Ja Sun penetrated Dai Taiyin from the north?

Once this idea flickered, it took root in Ja Sun's mind. His speed grew with spirit energy turned into shock force now propelling him to the utmost.

"What is he doing?"

Many grew anxious. Instead of Ja Sun's physical safety, they worried about his mental soundness.

Dai Taiyin's vertical pupils dilated as Ja Sun willingly reached close to the core of his devouring force that would crush anything that passes through it right in front of his jaws. Before Dai Taiyin could stop his attack, unwilling to make irreparable damage against the Empire's relationship with the Spirit Hall without an adequate reason, he was left stunned as Ja Sun grasped two of his giant lower canines.

Gripping the two canines well bigger than his own hands, Ja Sun's feet were right in front of the devouring force. His boots went in and like a shredder, the bits of leather fell into Dai Taiyin's mouth.

"I'm gonna pee in your mouth, prince!" Ja Sun laughed loudly as his trousers began to get pulled in when the force of the attack suddenly vanished and Ja Sun stabilized himself in front of the beast. He stood barefoot on the giant lower gums of the tiger and chuckled as he felt the jaws snapping up.

Instead of rushing away, Ja Sun eagerly raised his hand and caught two canines overhead!

Although the quality of his physique would make many go green with envy, including the top spirit masters such as Redstar, in front of an actual spirit beast, it was still too low. In fact, had he been able to take on his spirit avatar, all Ja Sun would need to do is use his atrocious physique boosted further by the body of the Three-eyed Silver Lion and then... smack his opponents.

But Ja Sun barely held on. His body emitted a creaking noise and his palms finally bled.

"As you wish," Ja Sun chortled. However, instead of actually turning naked, he collected his saliva and began spitting. Anyway, the mouth of the tiger hardly smelled pleasant so he could trash it further, right?

Seeing such a strange situation, many Spirit Sages made a mental note of not letting their opponents disgrace them in such a manner.

Dai Taiyin's body trembled and he instantly began to shrink while Ja Sun hurriedly jumped away.

*Khaa*

*Khaa*

Dai Taiyin began to cough loudly while Ja Sun pursed his lips.

"You fucker--"

Dai Taiyin coughed and spat before looking up. In all his years of battles and experience, he had never seen a man committing such atrocities as Ja Sun. But when he reached up to roar in anger, a full palm struck his face squarely and an insane amount of energy traveled through his skull, making his brain quiver internally.

Dai Taiyin's gaze instantly fell dull and he knelt where he stood before slumping down.

A slap.

A slap in the moment of carelessness is all it took to defeat such an opponent that would have even made the Clear Sky's Tang Min cautious and nervous.

Silently, Ja Sun crouched and picked the spirit ring from the Dai Taiyin's body. Even Ja Sun couldn't cross the lines and kill the man in front of him for spirit bones... but then again, Ja Sun did not lack spirit bones too much either.

But when he did grasp the storage ring in his hand, it felt like Ja Sun had slapped the entire continent.

He slapped the audience's expectations of the final match.

He slapped the honor of spirit masters by using such a tactic.

He slapped the years of experience and development of techniques with a mere spit.

And, as the winner was announced, Ja Sun hurriedly rushed out of the stage and entered the residential area without even giving his opponents the proper grace of achieving victory over them, slapping the face of the entirety of the Star Luo Empire again, making their cheeks swollen.

---

Although the final match of the 33rd day had been concluded, there needed to be a tiebreaker between the Clear Sky Clan and the Spirit Academy because both the teams held the same record. For this, the Supreme Pontiff announced that the winner and the ceremony for the same will be decided tomorrow. Although Ja Sun's actions didn't cross any line, he had earned the Spirit Hall quite a bit of dissatisfaction, and even now, Qian Xunji was dealing with the repercussions in the form of ambitious elders under his authority trying to undermine Bibi Dong and vying for the most recent resource point to be taken from her: The Giant's Forest.

Of course, with Bibi Dong under his command, having her wealth taken meant having his own wealth plundered. For this, Qian Xunji could only employ weaker and subtle tactics. He did often wish to gain the same artifact that allowed him to control Redstar but it would seem that there was only one such artifact on the continent.

'Soon... first, I need to establish the final point of authority. There isn't going to be a better moment than this one with all the higher-ups of the continent in one place... an opportunity of the decade!' Qian Xunji exclaimed internally.

"And then... with father's affirmation, I can finally aim for the Sea Devil Islands... but that is going to be the last attempt. If all goes according to the plan, I will be freed from this curse," He licked his lips.

Meanwhile, outside the arena and inside the residence of the White Tiger Clan, Zhu Ning had her head lowered under the glare of the Empress.

Dai Taiyin stood beside her, his mood foul but it was hardly due to Zhu Ning.

"You risked the royal heir just because of your own selfish ambitions to fight?" Zhu Yin glowered menacingly and cold sweat seeped out of Zhu Ning's forehead.

Dai Laohu kept his silence. He would usually not even let Zhu Yin rage but right now, the woman had his approval.

"Enough of this farce," Dai Taiyin suddenly spoke up as he looked at the three members in front of him. For some reason, the man did not hold a trace of anger or valiance that he had shown recently. Instead, a tinge of defeat was evident in his gaze as he spoke calmly, "For risking your health and our family, Ning'er, you will be appropriately punished after the birth of our child. Mother, you are happy deep down, so please stop pretending.

Father, you barely care about this farce, because Zhu Ning isn't even a month pregnant. You're just annoyed by our loss, that's all..."

As the expressions of the three individuals changed, Taiyin continued, "Ning'er, once I have rested... meet me tomorrow. I want to know why you did this..."

For a moment, only Laohu witnessed a flash of light on Taiyin's forehead as his son turned and stated plainly, "Excuse me for the night, everyone. I need to reconsider a few things."

---

Ja Sun sat in silence. Unlike his crazed and unpredictable disposition in front of his opponents, he was completely calm at the moment.

The competition had come to an end and Bibi Dong was clear that the final decision of victory was within the hands of the superiors instead of another battle. If it still wasn't clear that the Spirit Academy was surely superior to any other team and the loss against the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan was just a ploy to continue betting, then many administrative masters might as well roll up and die.

Their victory was confirmed tomorrow.

So, the race for benefits had come to a temporary end for him.

Including today's victory, Ja Sun had a total of 18 high-quality spirit bones.

18!

These spirit bones even included the inheritance items such as the leg bone of a nine-headed giant and the tiger sage's skull bone that would be given to the victorious teams.

He had gained too much and now was the time to digest what benefitted him and store or trade other things when the situation demands it.

Of these items, Ja Sun had earned one strange scripture Evil Space Records but it was written in a language unknown to Ja Sun and thus made the item obsolete temporarily.

But after a moment of disappointment, Ja Sun moved on.

'If everything goes according to the predicted script, we will be transferred near the Clear Sky Clan to oversee the development of the Giant's Forest alongside Bibi Dong. She will earn contribution points and accumulate strength to finally confront Qian Xunji about her past.

Bibi Dong had considered the matter deeply. She could hardly care about the parents she never met and her only trouble was with Qian Xunji's past with her parents. What will happen if Qian Xunji suddenly has some problem with Bibi Dong?

Although the man raised her, he was also now claimed to be a traitor to his good friend whom he killed for a 100000-year-old spirit bone, raped another woman... alongside the said man murdered, enslaved the leader of the Hint of Evil...

It was clear from Qian Xunji's accomplishments that he was not simple emotionally, too, and if Bibi Dong confronted without an appropriate strength, prestige, and witness, she might be targetted by Qian Xunji instead.

'But...'

Ja Sun flipped his hand and revealed a beautiful amber gem with streaks of gold and red mixed within. The moment this spherical gem appeared, Ja Sun felt a vast pressure and greed seize his body and blood but his mind remained unaffected.

This was precisely the bloodline core of the Three-eyed Golden Lion!

Even Ja Sun was left breathless.

However, within this greed, Ja Sun could sense an ominous premonition from the core itself. This was the first time Ja Sun felt anything like this and he couldn't help but frown.

Of course, Ja Sun wouldn't easily absorb the core before reading all the records he has on cultivation through the tomes once again to verify his conjecture but the sense of dread didn't come from his body. This thing was only good for his body.

But something was definitely strange.

Ja Sun silently took back the core and began to meditate once again. After a moment, he stood up and left only to return within a few seconds with a calm expression.

'Ah Yin didn't have to shut the door on my face,' Ja Sun sighed internally.

A/N: With this, the tournament arc comes to an end. I actually wanted to take things slow and have some slice-of-life moments but then I realized that stretching a tournament arc is not often a good thing.

But compared to the slightly simpler ending, I have a few things planned for the next volume that might interest you all.

Next Volume: Grandson's Godhood begins tomorrow.
