Chapter 185: Panty... My Dear Lamp, Here I come
Chapter 185: Panty... My Dear Lamp, Here I come
He wondered about it yet he was surrounded by Nara and Jeffrey so he decided to postpone this for later.
"Take this," he gave the scroll in hand to Nara, "with the one you had, you can escape from here."
"What about you?" Nara asked.
"I'll need to go in a different way," he said before adding, "I'm too late for my quest."
She weirdly glanced at him before muttering, "Will you be able to bypass their blockade? After all it's you who they want."
"No problem," he said before adding, "send me the items I got from the chest."
"One second," she said while the three started to move. They met their team at the first hall where Bloom received four items from the chest.
"There were only nine pieces there," Nara said before adding, "as you gave up one scroll, I've compensated with one more item."
He checked the items he received and found a pair of boots there. "Finally decent boots," he said in relief.
"They need level twenty to be worn," she warned before adding, "I know you don't like gears, but this one was something you looked for."
"Thanks," he honestly said, "I'll end this quest fast so we can have our date."
His words attracted the astonished gaze of Jeffrey.
"Alright lion," she joked, "just come back safely and rise a couple of levels more and I'll consider this."
He said nothing while checking the other three items he got. One was a joker potion which can be used in replacement of any other potion he required, plus it had the advantage of continuing to add the specific effect for five minutes.
And the impressive part about it is that it was able to be replenished again, either by one day cooling down or by using one thousand gold coins.
The second item wasn't less interesting though. It was a map. This map wasn't a map for any hidden places in the game, rather it was a map showing off the places of a single NPC, player, or a place he would think of.
"This last one is something I might not need," he muttered when he checked the last item. For any player, this might be something worth fighting for, yet for him he already had something better.
It was a mountain token, where he could use it to summon a warring horse. He wasn't that much interested in it, as he already had his higher mount from his quest.
"Yet this is a ready to use mount, not like my egg that needs to hatch," he muttered to himself before sighing, "I need to see how I'm supposed to let it hatch."
He stored the four items where only the potion and map were that useful to him at the moment.
"Are you sure about walking alone?" Nara asked for the third time while they all stood on the exit of the dungeon.
"Sure," he said before adding, "you go out first and create a diversion and I will slip away."
"Alright."
She turned to the team who had big smiles over their faces. Despite the odds of them losing a level here, the taste of victory and completing the dungeon was intoxicating them at the moment.
"Let's go," she shouted and the next moment they all went outside.
And the next moment a brutal fight erupted.
"Go and aid them," Bloom said to his remaining slightly over seventy agents to go out and help Nara and others.
As he waited patiently inside for a minute, he heard the sounds of fight getting slightly further away. "They are driving them far," he muttered before adding, "time for me to move as well. Darkness nihility."
The next moment his body vanished while he ran outside the dungeon. Just as he reached there, he found many players were left behind, waiting for him silently in ambush.
"Good for you I don't have time to waste here," he muttered before running far towards the opposite direction of Nara and others.
Nara already used one scroll and caused enough devastation and chaos for herself and her team and agents to dig deeper into the enemies' lines. Bloom wasn't worried about them, after almost gaining a couple of levels and even Nara got triple during this dungeon run.
"I've got not even a single level, sigh."
Despite not expecting to level up at all, as he was killing much weaker monsters than him, he was feeling bitter when comparing his gains with others.
"I just need less than ten percent of Xp to level up," he consoled himself, trying to make this not sound like a big loss. "I need to adapt to this low gain, after all most of the dungeon runs will end up the same way."
This was the main drawback of any leveler, so most teams kept the leveler five levels below their top players.
Yet he was a special case, with a level much higher than others. So, he had to accept this bitter fact and deal with it.
'Have you moved?' he sent to Muna asking about the development at her side.
'In an hour,' she sent back, 'he is now arranging some NPC to help in guarding a caravan.'
"This player" Bloom was surprised by this. "Am I this scary?" he shook his head before sending to Muna, 'How many NPCs did he manage to hire?'
'His prestige isn't that high to hire them. He had to ask for the help of the NPC who delivered him this quest and he will take care of all costs.'
Bloom didn't hear the answer he desired. 'How many?' he asked again.
'Up till now they are twenty, but he spoke once about hiring fifty,' she sent back before adding, 'plus the NPC has his own guards. They are around fifty more.'
"Damn!" he cursed out loud while his skill vanished. He wasn't in any danger here, as he went too far away from the dungeon, yet he didn't exit the area of the lock down scroll's effect.
'How are things at your end?' he sent to his butler, doubting to hear what he desired.
'Level eight and rising,' Antoan replied, the answer he feared for. He sighed, before having only little options ahead of him now.
"Dealing with one hundred NPCs and an elder from the shrine is a hard task," he muttered before adding, "and those players"
'How many players are there with you?' he asked before adding, 'What about their levels?'
'There are too many to specifically count.'
'Make a rough estimation then.'
'A couple of thousand, maximum three thousand,' she sent before adding, 'the highest level here is level sixteen, and most of them are much weaker, around level fourteen and thirteen.'
"Not bad," he nodded and then another message arrived from Muna.
'There is also a good number of dark players to join us after we hit the road.'
He paused before asking: 'Have a number for them?'
'Five hundred, not more. The rest you already killed or scared to run away from here.'
He bitterly smiled before sighing. "No option then but to use the dark auction."
He had to match the numbers with numbers while he would deal with the elite NPCs and players teams with his special card.
"I can summon dark agents, but my dolls are better," he thought before adding, "the only problem is their low number wait, I can resurrect them."
He suddenly realized this as he hurriedly took out a token and muttered:
"Resurrect."
"System alert: The dark agent in the token is killed. To revive them, the player is asked to pay five hundred gold coins."
Bloom paused for a moment there before sighing. "I'm currently so poor to do that."
He tossed the idea behind his back and started to consider other things. "I need to buy those fallen dark agents from the auction house so I can have a better opportunity."
'Keep me informed about any updates,' he sent to Muna while the next thing he did was to buy more tokens by the new one hundred thousand dark points and to get out of the area of effect of the lock down scroll.
In less than half an hour he exited the area of scroll locking effect, and the next thing he received was the simple message of Muna. 'We are moving to the main road outside the village.'
"Great," he evilly smiled, "time to end this prolonged task."
He was much more excited now than the first time he targeted Derick and stole the quest from him. This time he had to play the evil role from the start, attacking the caravan and ruining the quest of Panty.
And even killing Panty as well.
He took out the ticket back to the village and thought about something. "I should transform after hitting the road, or else I might be detained inside the village if I went there with the ID of Sunny."
He used the ticket and the next moment he appeared in the village. He knew Panty must have left some behind to scout for his appearance, but he had no other choice but to come back to reach the main road.
"Panty Here I come, my dear lamp, hehehe."
