"Oh this," Murong Si smiled at Murong Tai and replied, "This is something that Mother asked me to do. She said that we cannot lose in front of that mer who came from an unknown origin to suppress us. She asked me to wear the nicest clothes that I own and follow her. Since it was mother who asked me, I could only do as she asked."

Though it was Murong Si who suggested this, Old Madam Murong agreed with him, thus even if Murong Tai was to make a fuss, she wouldn't be able to make Old Madam Murong change her opinion. After all, Old Madam Murong was stubborn and once she set her mind on something, she would definitely not change her decision.

Thus, even if Murong Tai was to question Old Madam Murong nothing was going to come out of it.

"You…Murong Si! You better not be planning something," Murong Tai sneered as she squeezed Murong Si's wrist as hard as possible. "If I find out that you are scheming something in that little head of yours, I swear I will make you regret everything! If you dare to act up then…." She lowered her voice and whispered, "I don't mind you becoming an early widower."

Murong Tai was once a thug and she still had some connections in the back alley of the town. With those thugs being her friends, if Murong Tai wanted to make someone suffer, she really could do it.

When Murong Si heard her words, he stiffened and glared at her. He couldn't believe that this woman had stooped so low now that she was threatening to kill his future wife.

"Madam Yu will never forgive you if you do that," Murong Si said to Murong Tai who only smirked and then stated, "Do you think I will leave enough evidence for that woman to question me and even if I do…she will ask you why I attacked her cousin.. what will you say? That you married over with that tainted body of yours? I bet Madam Yu will be much more angry at you than me."

Murong Si trembled after hearing Murong Tai's words. From what she said, it was clear that she had already planned everything in her head, once he tried to get out of her control, she would try to ruin his reputation. If that happens even if he had more than ten mouths, he would not be able to explain that he and Murong Tai did not have any sort of relationship.

"What are you two doing here?" Old Madam Murong who returned after seeing that neither of her children were following her, looked at the two and questioned. She could feel that something was amiss but she couldn't place her finger on it. What was going on? Why were the two of them standing at the entrance of the house and why was Murong Si glaring at Murong Tai?

"Haha it's nothing, Mother," Murong Tai answered the question of her mother. She smiled at Old Madam Murong and then stated, "I was just teasing my brother a little as he is going to meet his fiancee and ended up going too far, he is upset because of this."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Come on now," Old Madam Murong huffed as she glanced at Murong Si who was still trembling with anger. "There is no need for you to react like this, your sister was only joking with you. Now if you two are done, it will be better for you to follow me. The ox cart is about to leave."

After she was done speaking, Old Madam Murong once again turned to walk away and this time Murong Tai followed after her while Murong Si stood where he was.

'I have to get away from her, no I have to make sure that she will never be able to harm me ever again,' Murong Si thought with clenched fists.

"Ah Si!"

"I am coming!"

Murong Si chased after the two women with a determined expression.

The three of them arrived at the Big River Village after an hour, when they stepped inside the Big River Village many people looked at them, some of the women took a double take at Murong Si who was walking with Old Madam Murong and Murong Tai.

"You can go and look for Miss Tong," Old Madam Murong said to Murong Si, as she wanted to start her plan as soon as possible. When Murong Tai heard that Old Madam Murong was sending Murong Si alone to the Yu house, she frowned and questioned, "Mother, this is not right. Even though they are engaged, it's not good to meet one another before marriage like this."

"What do you know, girl?" Old Madam Murong snorted. She had already lost the position of the official husband, in case Yu Tong had another Tom, Dick and Harry hiding, she would also lose the position of secondary husband. If she wanted to make sure that her son would become the pillar who would support their Murong family then she would have to make sure that Yu Tong would be charmed by him.

She couldn't let another mer swipe away that position as well!

Old Madam Murong turned to look at Murong Tai and then said to her, "The two kids must have a lot to talk about, what will you and I do there? And if we take Ah Si with us then he will only get bored. Isn't it better for the two children to talk with one another and get closer?"

'Closer?' Murong Tai clenched her hands when she heard her mother's words, she turned to look at Murong Si and silently glared at him. It was as if she was telling him to not cross the line or else she would kill him!
