"Can you really do it?" Old Madam Murong asked Murong Si as she took a sip from the hungover soup, she looked at her son and waited for his response. In fact, she really hoped that her son would be able to attract the attention of Yu Tong such that the mer who had caused them to lose their faces would learn his lesson.

As soon as he finished speaking, Old Madam Murong's eyes brightened. She looked at Murong Si and then smiled at him in a jeering manner, "Aha, you got a big appetite like your father eh? Haha, it doesn't matter anyway. A slut's child would be born a slut as well."

She picked the kelp leave that was stuck between her teeth and then nodded, "Very well, then you do it. I will take you with me…make sure that you show off your charms to Miss Yu as well as her cousin."

Murong Si smiled at his mother. He did not say anything even though he was clenching his fingers so hard that he drew blood from the skin of his palm.

"Of course, Mother. I will make sure that the Yu family women are in my palm," Murong Si agreed.

Old Madam Murong waved her hand as she dismissed Murong Si, she then continued to drink her hangover soup.

On the other hand, Murong Si who walked out of the room that belonged to Old Madam Murong spat on the ground as he muttered, "Shameless old woman."

Three hours later, Old Madam Murong and Murong Tai stepped out of their house where they found Murong Si already standing outside the house, he was dressed impeccably in his finest clothes while his hair was tied with a strip of fabric that had been washed many times such that it faded.

When Murong Tai saw Murong Si, she furrowed her brows and then turned to look at her mother before she asked, "What is the meaning of this mother? Is Ah Si coming with us?"

Old Madam Murong did not sense the anger in her daughter's voice as she nodded. She replied, "That's right, now that Miss Tong and Ah Si are engaged and everyone knows about it, I think it's time for the two of them to meet. It won't do us any good even if we delay their meeting as it's doomed to happen."

As she spoke she walked over to where Murong Si stood and then patted him on the shoulder. Old Madam Murong praised him, "You have done a good job, Ah Si. At least this way you will look more charming and beautiful than that prostitute. I am certain that Miss Tong will regret her actions the moment she sees you."

Murong Si smiled sweetly at Old Madam Murong's words while Murong Tai clenched her fingers. She did not wish to let Yu Tong see Murong Si like this, if that woman was really charmed up by Murong Si then she would spend more than one night with him.

Murong Tai did not wish for that to happen.

She only wanted Murong Si to be married to Yu Tong in the name such that she could reap the benefits as well as enjoy the body of this mer who had teased her ever since he was young!

'This nasty little fox, he is trying so hard to escape my control,' Murong Tai thought angrily as she looked at Murong Si. If not for the fact that, Old Madam Murong was standing right next to Murong Si, she would have definitely scolded Murong Si for acting like a seducer.

How dare he have ideas about another woman when she was the one who raised and protected him all along?

"Let's go," Old Madam Murong said to the two as she stomped out of the house. She was in a very good mood as she could already see Yu Tong sucking up to her once she sees how good Murong Si was when compared to that prostitute.

Old Madam Murong walked ahead and Murong Si turned to follow her as well but just as he turned on his feet, his wrist was caught and he was harshly turned around.

"What is the meaning of this?" Murong Tai questioned Murong Si as if she were his wife and had the right to interfere with his choices.

"What do you mean sister?" Murong Si feigned innocence even though he knew what Murong Tai meant. But what could she do? Old Madam Murong supported him, and even if she did not like it, Murong Tai couldn't stop him.

"You…why are you dressed like this and why are you coming with us? What is going on in that head of yours?" Murong Tai could not question Old Madam Murong but she could question Murong Si.
