Transmigrating as an Extra Third-Rate Villain

Chapter 276 Protect or Rob? [1]

Before Lily could even react to the lifeless djinn's body, a sudden voice sounded from above her.

Looking upward, Lily spotted a figure hanging mid-air with his spear from Alya's wall of ice.

Making eye contact with Lily, Kazuki waved before saying.

"The principal sent me to help. Don't worry about those climbing ones; I'll take care of all of them."

Not quite believing Kazuki, Lily stared at him with a suspicious expression, the tip of her wand shining a bright blue.

Seeing this, Kazuki sighed before pulling out the visitor pass he had received from the principal to enter the assembly.

"Look at this!"

Yet, Lily remained suspicious as she knew that the ranks of the school were corrupted and filled with undercover criminals.

Without Lily's help, the swarm of the djinns began to slowly overwhelm Zach, forcing him to take a step back.

Seeing this, Kazuki sighed before realizing he had no other choice.

Looking right below him and beside Zach, Kazuki screamed.

"KEVIN... TELL HER I'M YOUR BROTHER, PLEASE."

"..."

Hearing the familiar voice sound from above him, Kevin instantly halted for a second and slowly looked up.

Sure enough, right above Kevin, there was his brother hanging from a spear that was embedded in one of Alya's ice pillars.

Although Kevin had a lot of choice words for his brother's sudden appearance, he forced himself to stay silent.

Your next journey awaits at m v|l-e'-NovelBin.net

Hearing the severity in his brother's voice, Kevin immediately turned around and saw the suspicious Lily.

Turning back around to face a djinn that managed to get by Zach, Kevin yelled.

"LILY, THAT IS MY BROTHER."

Putting her wand down, Lily fully trusted Kevin's words as she nodded her head before reforming the pool of acid water.

Back outside the magic barrier that was surrounding the academy, Seraphina immediately noticed something was off.

As the bridge started shaking uncontrollably, despite having been fine for at least twenty years now, Seraphina took off.

Casting a temporary levitation buff with the mana she had just regenerated, Seraphina floated in the air before retreating back to the other side of the bridge.

Landing on the capital city side of the bridge, Seraphina stood with her wand out, staring at the academy island.

All of a sudden, the downpour of rain started to increase, drenching all the people in the streets of the capital city.

*CRACK*

As lightning began to strike all over the city, specifically targeting the crumbling bridge, Seraphina stepped back.

Right now, she was just a normal civilian.

Without her mana, she was powerless and completely defenseless against the powers of nature.

Taking cover from the encore of rain, Seraphina walked toward a nearby underhang that stretched all the way to the bridge.

However, while she was franticaly walking toward the underhang, a sudden noise interrupted her.

*ROAR!!!*

As the loud sound of what seemed like a beast speaking echoed through the entire capital city, Seraphina turned back.

She had succeeded.

According to the imagination spell, Seraphina would be able to use an image or picture to create an exact beast with the same powers.

And the more mana you put into the spell, the stronger the best you could summon.

Since Seraphina drained her massive storage into the spell, the massive water serpent, Leviathan, appeared as a result.

There was just one problem, though...

Although Seraphina could summon the beast, she had no control or power over it, so Leviathan could do whatever it wanted.

If it wanted to, the massive water serpent could wipe out the entire capital city, alongside the millions of people living inside.

However, Seraphina was aware of this spell's limitation and had chosen to summon Leviathan instead of any other mythical being for a reason.

Leviathan... hated magic barriers.

Thousands of years ago, when humans had just evolved to the point where they could begin writing, the ocean was a dangerous place.

With no humans powerful enough to slay the water beasts, the oceans were left unchecked, making them the most dangerous place on Earth.

Inside the ocean, countless fierce competitors fought each other in order to gain control; however, after many years, only two competitors remained.

The massive water serpent, feared for its dangerous speed despite its large size, held control over the Atlantic ocean.

As for the Pacific Ocean, the gigantic octopus-like creature called the Kraken ruled over that area.

The two mystical beings could not bear to see another controller over the seas, so they broke out in a fight, which was said to have lasted for days.

One of the strategies that the Krkaen frequently used to gain an advantage was the creation of magic barriers.

With his insane mana manipulation abilities, the Kraken would constantly trap the gigantic Serpent inside mana cages.

And since the Serpent was so big, it was almost impossible for it to avoid being trapped inside.

Thus, the water serpent's hate for magic boundaries was created.

Returning back to the present, Seraphina resumed his sprint towards the cover from the rain.

Behind her, deep within the ocean under the bridge, a gigantic shadow was cast, making the entire ocean seem like a pure black abyss.

The normal, plentiful ocean was dry and devoid of any sea creatures, and fish and seals alike were gone.

However, there was one beast remaining in the abyss of the darkness.

Lying on the ocean floor, a gigantic serpent that seemed to stretch for miles could be seen.

Its eyes were closed, and it was completely stationary, but the sheer pressure it emulated cleared the body of the water out.

Coincidentally, Ren's cat was simply lying down while watching his matter continue digging further and further upward.

As Ren's cat opened his eyes, the eyes of the serpent suddenly opened, revealing its golden-colored pupils.

The cat, sniffing at the ground, suddenly opened its eyes wide as if he had just seen its arch-enemy.

Getting off the cold cave floor, Ren's cat walked forward for a couple of seconds before playfully throwing its paw in the air.

Seeing this, Ren shook his head before slapping himself.

"Whoever said that a pet learns from their owners needs to be caught and jailed."

Staring at his schizophrenic cat, which simply pawed at the air, Ren sighed before continuing to dig.

*CRASH*

Throwing Ren to the right, the island suddenly shook as if something had just banged into it.

Back on the ocean floor, the serpent began slithering forward at an incredible pace, crossing the entire distance from the capital city to the academy island within a single second.

Then, without any hesitation, the serpent lunged upwards, removing itself from the ocean floor.

Flying upward, the sea serpent's head emerged from the water, while the other part of its ginormous body remained on the ocean floor to keep him stable.

Letting out an ear-piercing scream, the serpent glided towards the academy island with its mouth wide open.

Propelling itself off the ocean floor, the sea serpent suddenly flew even higher as its entire body emerged from the water.

Seraphina, being one of the few to see this sight, saw a gigantic blue lizard simply floating in the air above the water.

"...what th-"

Some of the civilians, not caring about being drenched by the onslaught of the rain, stopped and stared at the spectacle.

It was not every day that you saw a serpent that was almost half the length of the capital city simply floating in the air.

Then, again, the civilians saw a lot as they lived in the capital city.

A couple of civilians simply glanced at the Serpent before immediately moving on as if it were nothing special while muttering.

"Damn it... why did I decide to live in this city?"

Levitating in the air, the top portion of the serpent's body stayed the same; however, its bottom portion was... interesting.

Like a helicopter, the sea serpent's tail was rapidly rotating around its body, so fast that after-images of it were left.

After charging its helicopter tail up for a couple of seconds, the serpent suddenly threw itself tail-first at the academy island.

The serpent's tail, mid-rotate, slashed right into the magic barrier surrounding the academy island.

The portion of the magic barrier hit by the serpent's tail immediately crumbled while the rest of the barrier followed suit.

Back in the cave, Ren's cat suddenly collapsed to the floor before rolling around so that its tummy was facing the ceiling.

Acting as if it had done something amazing, the cat turned to face Ren while meowing and purring.

Looking at his proud cat, Ren snorted before muttering.

"I'M NOT PETTING YOU! I'm THE ONE ACTUALLY WORKING AND MINING!"

*CLACK*

As Ren's pickaxe swung upwards one final time, he realized that there was nothing left to dig above.

He had arrived.

Like a hedgehog, Ren peeked his head through the hole in the ground, instantly spotting countless djinns.

Afraid of being caught, Ren immediately ducked back down before de-manifesting his corrupted pick axe.

Picking up his cat, Ren ignored its pleas to be pet before placing it back in his hoodie.
