There’s Something Wrong With These Demonic Women!

Chapter 66: Why Is It So Delicious

Chapter 66: Why Is It So Delicious

In the deep mountains and old forests, Lu Xun held three plump rabbits and returned to a dilapidated temple. As soon as he entered, he was scolded by the little fox.

"Why did you take so long?" Xuan Shi sat on a pile of withered grass, pouting and complaining, but suddenly… she noticed the rabbits in Lu Xun's hands. Her eyes lit up, and she asked, "Hey! Little bunnies! Where did you catch them?"

"In the mountains." Lu Xun weighed the three rabbits in his hands and said casually, "I'm going to roast them later…"

"Ah?"

"You… you want to eat the bunnies?"

Xuan Shi's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at him, "The little bunnies are so cute, and you… you actually want to eat them?"

"…"

"Pigs are cute, and people eat them. Ducks are cute, and people eat them too." Lu Xun shrugged and said with emphasis, "After I finish roasting, I'll give you half. Don't worry… I'm skilled at roasting rabbits. They'll be crispy outside and tender inside."

The little fox frowned and said coldly, "I won't eat them… A long, long time ago, I raised two little bunnies, and then I accidentally killed them. I… I was sad for a long time."

"Killed them?"

"Did you give them water to drink?" Lu Xun drew his Meteor Star Sword from his back and swiftly cut the necks of the three plump rabbits.

Watching the bloody scene, the little fox couldn't help but shiver all over. She quickly turned away, answering faintly, "Um… after drinking water one day, the two bunnies started to look weak, and in a couple of days… they both died."

"Perhaps the water wasn't clean, or you gave them too much water." Lu Xun casually responded. As he was about to skin the rabbits, he suddenly remembered the little fox's life experience. He silently walked outside, out of her sight, and quickly removed the fur from the rabbits.

In the following time, Lu Xun gathered some dry branches from nearby to build a small bonfire inside the dilapidated temple. He sat next to it and slowly roasted the three rabbits.

As night fell, the forest grew even quieter, with only the sound of the wind rustling through the leaves. In the midst of a ruined temple, the small bonfire in the center illuminated everything around, dispelling the darkness and providing a hint of warmth.

Xuan Shi sat by the bonfire, across from Lu Xun who was roasting the rabbits. She absentmindedly played with the withered grass beneath her, while a tempting aroma wafted through the air, delicious and tantalizing.

"Well…"

"Do you really like Sister Xuan Yin?" The little fox pulled a few strands of grass, raised her head, and stared at him intently. She asked in a hushed voice.

"Of course."

"We are truly in love."

Lu Xun said softly, "At first, both your Sister Xuan Yin and I resisted the idea. After all, we were forced together by your master. But as time went on and we spent more time together, our feelings grew. Maybe it's fate. Even though it's quite unconventional for a human and a demon to become a couple, it doesn't matter to your Sister Xuan Yin and me."

"Oh…"

The little fox snapped a piece of grass, pursed her cherry-like lips, and mumbled, "You better treat Sister Xuan Yin well in the future. Don't bully her. If you dare to bully her, I… I definitely won't let you off. I'll make sure you end up in pieces."

"…"

"Got it." Lu Xun sighed helplessly and smiled, "I've noticed that you three are all the same. Xuan Yin keeps threatening to decapitate me, your master always contemplates killing me, and you want to tear me apart. I feel like there's not enough of me to go around."

"Why does Master want to beat you?" The little fox asked in confusion.

"Well…"

"Take a guess?"

Lu Xun chuckled playfully, "Considering your master's temperament, what do you think?"

"That's true…"

"She beats me up every few days."

"Even though I didn't really do anything wrong, she forcefully pins a charge on me." Xuan Shi pouted, grumbling with annoyance, "Master is the worst… she makes me practice all day long and won't even let me go down the mountain to have fun."

Lu Xun just smiled and didn't say much.

After a while, the three plump rabbits were finally cooked. Lu Xun picked up one, ready to enjoy his meal, but he noticed the little fox across from him. She was staring straight at him—more accurately, at the roasted rabbit.

"Here…"

"Eat."

Lu Xun handed a roasted rabbit to Xuan Shi and said softly.

"Hmph!"

"I'm not eating it!"

The little fox turned her head away, stubbornly refusing. However, she subconsciously swallowed her saliva, her gaze fixed on the food.

The scene of her throat moving up and down didn't go unnoticed by Lu Xun.

"Tsk…"

"Why are both of you like this?"

Lu Xun smiled wryly and said, somewhat resigned, "Alright, alright… Stop being stubborn with me. Just eat quickly. It won't taste good if it gets cold."

"Since you're being so sincere…"

"I'll reluctantly eat a little then."

The little fox took the roasted rabbit that was offered to her, slightly parted her lips, and tore off a bit of meat from the rabbit leg. In an instant, she was conquered by Lu Xun's exquisite rabbit-roasting skills.

"Why is it so delicious!?"

The little fox wolfed down the rabbit meat with relish, her expression brimming with delight and satisfaction.

Watching Xuan Shi devour the food, Lu Xun couldn't help but marvel. He hadn't expected even a demon to enjoy his culinary skills.

After a moment, Xuan Shi's small belly had accommodated the meat of two plump rabbits. She lay on the pile of withered grass, gazing contentedly at the beams above her and murmured to herself, "This is just too tasty…"

"If you want to eat more, I'll roast some for you another time," Lu Xun said.

"Really?"

The little fox turned her head, excitement in her eyes as she looked at him eagerly, and said, "Then it's a deal."

Lu Xun agreed with a nod and added more wood to the fire.

As the night grew deeper…

The little fox lay fast asleep on the pile of withered grass, while Lu Xun focused on replenishing his energy.

Suddenly, a fierce wind arose, accompanied by lightning and thunder, followed by a heavy downpour.

Lu Xun opened his eyes, glanced at the dilapidated roof, then looked at the sleeping little fox on the ground. After a moment of consideration, he got up and went to Xuan Shi. Bending down gently, he lifted her from the ground, carefully carried her to a corner, and was about to set her down.

"No…"

"Don't…"

Just as he was about to lower the little fox, before he could even release his grip, she started murmuring in her sleep. Her cute and delicate face displayed a pained expression.

Just as Lu Xun was feeling perplexed, the little fox suddenly opened her arms wide, wrapping them tightly around his neck. Simultaneously, her slender legs clamped around his waist.

"Don't go… Sister, don't go…"

"Xuan Shi is scared… Xuan Shi wants to hold you to sleep…"

Lu Xun was a bit at a loss in this situation.

What… what should I do now? Do I have to hold her all night?
