The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 197 - 197 Blood Contract

197 Blood Contract

Kate could only answer weakly. She looked at Kyle in front of her and lied weakly while putting her head on his arm. Even though she didn’t know how to solve this problem, she knew that she was tired because she had overdrawn her ability.

But shouldn’t she just feel weak?

Why did she feel dizzy instead?

Looking at the little cat that was half dead, Kyle was even more worried than before. He himself was tired because he had been using his entire power when facing that rank 7 giant mutated rat, but he had been training in the military.

Back then, no matter how tired he was, he had to complete the training if he wanted to rest. Thus, his mental and physical strength had been fully trained.

But the girl in front of him was just an ordinary student before this mutation occurred. How could she be able to force her body to be in the optimal state. Even if she knew that she had to stay awake, it wouldn’t be easy for her to do so.

Kyle took a deep breath and then slowly bit his own finger. After that, he put his finger on the little cat’s mouth, allowing the blood to be swallowed.

“Meow…?” <What…? >

Kate was confused but then a misty view appeared in front of her.

.....

It seemed to be a different realm where only her projection was inside, but Kate knew that this world indeed existed.

Kyle looked at the realm in front of him and his eyes narrowed. He had heard from Marc about this place before and about the short ritual contract that was performed. It was nothing special and Kyle himself only do this with the mentality of trying.

Who would have expected that because Kate is both a cat and a human being, she was actually qualified to form a blood contract?

“Kate,” Kyle called out slowly. “Are you there?”

“Yeah.”

At this moment, even Kate herself was surprised. In this smoke or mist like world, she could actually speak human words? At this moment, Kate lowered her head and looked at her hand.

Instead of the hand of a little furry cat, it was the hand of a human.

An adult human.

Kate was startled and stretched her hand, leg, and came to the conclusion that in this mist like world, she had returned to her real form. Looking at Kyle in front of her, she could guess that he couldn’t really see her.

There was a barrier of mist blocking the two of them.

“So this is your original voice?” Kyle’s lips hooked into a smile. “I can’t remember it before.”

Her voice was soft and pleasant to hear. It had no advantage over many coquettish voice, but Kyle felt that it was the best voice he had ever heard in his life.

“….You know.” Kate looked at Kyle and lowered her head in embarrassment. Even though the two of them couldn’t really see each other clearly because of this mist, she still felt a bit embarrassed when she thought that she was trying to hide it.

“Yeah.” Kyle looked at Kate deeply. “Do you want to form a blood contract with me?”

“I’m a human!” Kate looked at Kyle with disbelief. She was there when Kyle was asking Marc in regards about the blood contract. It was also because of this that she understood deeply that while this blood contract allowed them to use their partner’s ability, it also restrained them in some ways.

One of them was… the shared lifespan.

If she were to have a blood contract Kyle, it meant that the two of them would have to share their life.

“But you’re also a cat, right?” Kyle asked with a faint smile. “In that case, wouldn’t it mean that it’s possible for us to make a blood contract?”

“But…”

“And I need to heal you and heal myself. In your condition, you wouldn’t be able to do it.” Kyle looked at Kate. “Let me borrow your ability, ok?”

Kate looked at Kyle in daze. She knew that she shouldn’t agree so easily but it was also true that their lives were in danger when they were here. If they couldn’t get out of here, it would be impossible for them to think about the future.

“Would you…would you regret it in the future?” Kate finally asked the only question that she could think of.

Even in this projection world, she began to feel that the world is spinning. She was so dizzy that she wanted to sleep right away without the need to worry about anything else. It was so annoying that she didn’t know what she was supposed to do anymore.

“No, I won’t.” I just want to spend my life with you.

Kyle didn’t speak out the rest of the sentence because he knew that it would be too abrupt for her.

And honestly, he felt that this blood contract was indeed the best way for him to tie her with him. Even if others were using it to tie their pet with them, but he wanted to tie his future wife with him instead.

“Is that fine, Kate?” Kyle called out in a low voice.

“Ok.”

Kate agreed.

At this moment, the mist around them disappear and Kate could see Kyle clearly. He was still wearing the same clothes he wore outside. On the other hand, she was wearing a pure white dress.

Kyle looked at Kate and smiled faintly.

It was unknown how long it would take for Kate to return to her human’s form. But being able to see her real form in this world, Kyle still felt an odd sense of satisfaction.

He reached out his hand and Kate grabbed it.

Their blood boiled and there seemed to be ties between the two of them, connecting their soul with each other. Red thread formed between their hand before the world collapsed.

Kate blinked her eyes and looked at Kyle.

“Meow?” <Kyle? >

Kyle’s eyes deepened. “I’m here.”
