Chapter 198: Picking Up Feng Wu

Sometimes she wished Madam Lan would treat her unfairly. Then she could use it as excuse to drive a wedge between the madam and her husband and her father-in-law. She could show how pitiful she was and how cruel and unkind the madam was. It would help break the relationship between the madam and her son as well.

But the madam was the epitome of grace, a lady who acted according to her status as the main wife of the Feng house. Dont let the constant tears fool you. Youd be hard pressed to find fault in her comportment. She hadn't made a single mistake for Feng Ting to exploit.

Feng Ting remembered when she first came to the mansion and saw how Madam Lan cried all day. She marked Madam Lan as an easy to deceive, brainless twit. It was going to be easy to get her father to tire of Madam Lan. Afterwards she could push her mother into the main wife position and she would be the main daughter.

But after staying in the Feng house for so long, she understood how nave shed been.

Even if her father tired of Madam Lan, it was impossible for her mother to take over the position. There was Tian. As long as he existed, Madam Lans position as main wife would never waver. The mother of the future head had to be the main wife no matter what. Grandfather Feng would never allow otherwise.

Even she had to admit Madam Lan outshone her own mother.

Feng Ting poured a cup of tea for the two of them. Because Auntie Xing is going to return from Blood Moon forest and she wanted to see Feng Wu. That's why Grandfather is allowing Xiao Wu to come back early. Now Mother can see her biological daughter again.

Feng Ting was both happy and sad at the same time.

Shui couldnt stand the loss look on her friends face. Ting Ting! Dont be sad. Even if Feng Wu comes back what could possibly happen to you? Youre the eldest daughter in the Feng house.[notes] With that scandal of hers, do you think any family will accept her as a daughter-in-law?

She should be here in a few days. This time shell be staying for a while. Theres something wrong with Blood Moon forest so someone else is going to take over for her.

Wait! What? Something happened?! Is Aunt Xing OK? Shui was sincerely worried.

She should be OK, but there have been a lot of injuries and casualties in the troop keeping watch with Aunt Xing. Shes been guarding Blood Moon forest for over 20 years now. Someone else is taking over her position so shes coming back home with cousin Yanran.

She should be just as beautiful. I havent seen Cousin Yanran in a while. I miss her. Feng Tings eyes dimmed slightly as she thought about it.

Feng Wu was a direct descendent of the Feng house, so it was a given she would be treated differently by Father and Grandfather. Feng Yanran was different as well. She was the most favored of all the younger generation despite being an illegitimate child borne from an unknown father. Feng Ting wondered about that

Tian got teary eyed when he saw his little sister in a pretty blue dress. He was so nervous. He wondered how she would react. Would she scold him, hit him with a broom, ignore him?

Many possibilities passed through his mind but he never expected she would drop her food and fly straight into his arms.

The little hand that was just holding a chicken leg was now holding his waist in an oily grip. There were two distinct greasy palm prints on his coat.

Tian Yues mouth twitched. Please clean your hands before hugging other people! Definitely dont use their expensive clothes to wipe your hands!

Fortunately Tian didnt care. He held onto Feng Wu with a full heart. He did not expect her to take the initiative to hug him. Shed never been close to him when they were little. She would hide every time he tried to get close.

This was the first time she opened up to him and hugged him. He was at a loss about what to do next.
