The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 175

175 Drunk escapades

“Well, you are so drunk. You can’t even remember my home is a few.... um few.... few,” replied Zi Han only for him to lose his words in the middle. It seemed he was also drunk but he would never admit it.

“A few streets over?” asked Yi Chen his eyes shimmering under the bright lights.

“Yes that, a few streets over. Ah, I am so hungry.... I want spicy seafood. Let’s make some!” yelled Zi Han pumping his fist like he was ready for war.

Yi Chen draped his arm around Zi Han’s shoulders and led him into the house while explaining, “We can’t get seafood at this hour. How about we raid the fridge and find something to eat?”

Zi Han’s face sank when he heard there was no seafood. If there wasn’t any seafood then he wanted to go home. At least there his grandpa would perform magic and voila there is seafood.

“I want to go home then. At least grandpa will make it for me,” he said while dragging his feet in protest.

Yi Chen didn’t let him go. He led him into the kitchen and opened the freezer. “Look, I have frozen ready to eat meals. You can pick what you want,” said Yi Chen showing off an entire section full of frozen meals.

He had bought all kinds of frozen meals, especially the ones his mother usually made in hopes that when Zi Han comes over there would be something to eat. He couldn’t cook but he didn’t want his beloved to starve when he comes home thus he bought all kinds of things.

Zi Han took a glance before staring back at Yi Chen asking, “Then can l have spicy ramen.”

.....

Yi Chen, “.....”

“I have spicy wings.... would you like that?” asked Yi Chen his hand stroking Zi Han’s hair. Zi Han was too tipsy to realize that their closeness at the moment was eyebrow raising. He was just thinking about eating spicy food and drinking some more.

“Okay, okay you make it and I will be continuing the party elsewhere,” he said while opening the other side of the fridge and grabbing whatever else he could find to drink.

He grabbed a bottle of white wine and a wine glass. He poured it out into the glass and handed it to Yi Chen while saying, “Drink.”

Yi Chen was about to drink it when Zi Han turned around to leave with an entire bottle in his hand. “Make yourself at home,” he said to Zi Han and the latter raised his hand without turning to look at him.

Yi Chen instructed the housekeeper robot to prepare the frozen spicy wings before walking over to the lounge. Zi Han was lying down on the couch with bare feet having ditched his slippers.

He was hugging the bottle while absentmindedly watching some dance show. Yi Chen raised Zi Han’s legs and sat down before placing them across his lap.

With a contented smile on his face, he rubbed Zi Han’s legs while saying, “You must be really wasted for you to watch such a boring show.”

Zi Han turned his head slightly and said, “It’s not boring. I and mum used to watch it together and copy some of their dances for fun.”

Yi Chen was a little surprised. He traced the bottom of Zi Han’s leg with the tips of his fingers. Zi Han jerked his foot away but Yi Chen grasped his ankle pulling his leg back while asking, “So you can dance?”

Zi Han turned his head back to the screen as he answered casually, “Yep.... a little.”

Yi Chen, who had his head in the clouds from drinking brazenly asked, “Then can you show me?”

Zi Han took a few sips straight from the bottle before saying, “Too drunk to dance. I will show you next time.”

Yi Chen didn’t force it. He stretched out his hand and Zi Han handed him the bottle. The two of them passed this bottle between them several times and by the time it reached the bottom, Zi Han was almost seeing twos.

Yi Chen wasn’t fairing any better either. His mood was at an all-time high and he couldn’t stop smiling while staring at Zi Han like he was looking at a treasure.

Even as they decimated an entire platter of spicy wings he kept staring at Zi Han but the latter was unfazed. He felt so comfortable and happy like this was his home. It was as though they had done this numerous times and it was only natural for them to hang out like this.

As a warm stream of water washed away the spicy red sauce on Zi Han’s hands Yi Chen was standing behind him while watching him.

He didn’t want to bring this up again as it would dampen the mood but he couldn’t contain it. After much thought, he asked, “So you were really going to kiss him?.... Do you like him?”

Zi Han’s fingers froze for a second before he took them away from underneath the running water. The tap closed automatically and he grabbed the hand towel Yi Chen placed aside for him.

While wiping his hands Zi Han turned around and looked at him for a while. The two locked eyes for a second making Yi Chen a little nervous. He was seriously afraid of the answer but he still wanted to know.

Zi Han chuckled while placing down the hand towel. “No, it was just a dare. Don’t overthink it,” he replied his attitude all nonchalant like this matter was trivial to him.

Yi Chen crossed his arms on his chest and asked, “But it’s your first kiss. Don’t you want to reserve it for.... someone you like?”

Zi Han didn’t know how many times he had to say this. He had no intention of entangling with this emotion called love. Unfortunately for him, he had no idea that its tiny roots were creeping in already. He was oblivious to the changes occurring in his heart.
