Supreme Casanova: Ultimate Harem System

Chapter 127 Totally Worth It.

The sound of tires skidding on gravel echoed like a siren of doom. Hugo's bike wobbled violently, swerving left and right as though possessed by some malevolent spirit.

A malevolent spirit that wanted nothing more but to turn Hugo into the same thing as it was!

His heart sank into his stomach as the world around him slowed to a crawl.

"No, no, no, no, NO!" Hugo screamed in his head, each word more desperate than the last. His fingers gripped the handlebars with the force of someone clinging to the edge of a cliff.

His eyes darted to Lisa up ahead, her bike speeding smoothly like a racehorse. He wasn't going to let her win. No way. Not today. Read the latest on empire

If she won, he was going to die. There was nothing more to be said. He had to ensure he won!

But his bike had other plans. The wobbling intensified. The bike tipped to one side, then the other, like a drunk goose trying to find its balance.

Hugo threw his weight back and forth with dramatic flair, arms flailing as though he could physically force the bike into submission.

"Stay with me, you useless hunk of metal!" he growled under his breath, sweat pouring down his face.

He wasn't a pro with bikes in the first place. He was a pro with cars, but that didn't extend to these two wheelers. He was reacting purely based on instincts and his sense of balance.

For a moment—a single, glorious moment—he thought he had it. The bike steadied. The world seemed to pause, granting him a brief, beautiful second of hope.

He could do this. He could absolutely do it!

Then his front wheel hit a rock.

GAME OVER!

Everything happened in slow motion. The handlebars slipped from his grip. The bike tipped dangerously to one side.

Hugo's face twisted in horror as he realized he was going down, and there was nothing he could do about it.

No matter how much he screamed or cursed, this was a battle against physics. Of course, he wasn't smart enough to win!

Except…

A crazed idea popped into his head. His eyes went bloodshot, his face twisting into a crazed expression of pure desperation.

A crazy, sinister and absolutely heartless plan hatched in his mind.

If he was going down, he wasn't going alone. With every ounce of strength in his body, he leaned sharply to the side—towards Lisa.

"Sorry about this!" he yelled, though there wasn't an ounce of apology in his voice. Using every muscle in his body, Hugo leaned hard to the side.

His bike careened straight into Lisa's, slamming into it like a guided missile.

"What the—?!" Lisa barely got the words out before both bikes crashed into each other with a loud metallic CLANG.

Bicycles collided and the impact definitely wasn't pretty.

The next thing Hugo knew, they were flying through the air like two crash test dummies for a budget car company.

They hit the ground in a heap of limbs, just a few feet shy of the finish line. Hugo groaned, sprawled out on the dirt, his bike lying in a defeated heap beside him.

His body was battered and bruised, and his spine had taken a strong hit. For a moment, he didn't move, hoping, praying that Lisa would stay down.

'Okay, this doesn't feel great, but maybe she'll stay down for a while… right? She's a girl, and girls aren't built for this kind of crash… right?'

Wrong.

Turned out, Lisa wasn't even half as fragile as she looked.

She shot to her feet faster than Hugo could process, like she had springs in her legs. Her face was a mask of determination, and her eyes burned with the kind of fire that made Hugo's stomach twist.

The kind of fire that showed she was determined to win this!

"You've got to be kidding me," he muttered, scrambling to his feet. She was already sprinting towards the finish line, completely unfazed by the crash.

'How is she standing?! How is she MOVING?! HOW IS SHE NOT HURT?! What is she made of? Titanium?!'

His brain raced, but his body moved faster. Ignoring the pain, he scrambled to his feet and sprinted after her.

Ignoring the throbbing pain in his legs, Hugo ran with a mad fervor. The finish line was just ahead, and he wasn't about to lose.

Not after all this. They were neck and neck again, their shoes pounding the dirt in a frantic rhythm.

This was the moment! The deciding moment!

Hugo's mind raced. He couldn't let her win. He wouldn't let her win. His eyes narrowed, a spark of ruthlessness igniting in his gaze. 'You still don't want to stay down? Fine. Let's see how you like this, you villain minor character! It's your fault for going against a protagonist with 3 layers of plot armour!'

A devious grin spread across his face as he decided to unleash his secret weapon. Without a second thought, Hugo reached out and delivered a firm, resounding spank to Lisa's backside.

The sound was crisp, sharp, and entirely too loud.

Lisa's eyes widened in shock, her steps faltering. She turned her head slightly, her mouth hanging open, but Hugo didn't look back.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

He took advantage of her momentary pause and surged forward, crossing the finish line with a triumphant leap.

"YES!" Hugo shouted, throwing his arms up in victory. "I'm a genius! A legend! A—"

He didn't get to finish.

Lisa was already standing in front of him. For a split second, her face was calm, almost too calm.

Then her fist shot out.

The punch landed square on Hugo's jaw, sending him stumbling backward. He saw stars, the world spinning as his victorious thoughts crumbled into oblivion.

And as he hit the ground, Hugo had only one thought left: 'Totally worth it.'
