Struggling as a Villain

In a room, Bella was surrounded. No, she wasn't surrounded by enemies, but rather those people who once were her subordinates.

Fifteen core members, whom Bella personally recruited were all gathered around and couldn't stop smiling upon seeing their Leader back in business.

"Leader….where were you these months?" One of them asked, and that was something they all wanted to know.

Bella heaved a sigh and turned towards the man who goes by the name Kevin, "I was with the man because of whom I created this clan."

Anvil, the small kid-looking man, gasped, "So you traveled to the other world?!"

The first person to introduce the theory of cross-world traveling was Anvil. He was also an active member of the team that was working with Bella on cross-dimensional travel.

However, in the end, all the attempts resulted in failure, and Bella was only able to travel across worlds through the summoning ritual.

"Yeah, I went there," Bella spoke, a tinge of a smile appearing on her face that made everyone in the room hold their breath.

Bella looked at the woman with long grey hair, and asked, "Miss Caroline, didn't you retire?" She was the lady Bella saved from a group of Hunters back then, who betrayed her and were about to use her as bait to lure the monsters.

The lady was the first person who took the job of Vice-commander until Lena appeared and proved her worth.

Caroline decided to retire after that since she was already approaching her sixties. However, even after so many months, she seemed the same.

"After hearing about your return, it was not possible for me to not come." The lady responded, before, with a mischievous smile, she asked, "So? Did you reunite with the person you love? Is he here?"

The others held their breath again. The man whom the Leader loves….

They were like die-hard fans who could not swallow the fact that their Goddess could be infatuated with someone other than herself.

However, only Lena and Jennifer know that the man their Leader chose was actually worthy of her affection. A godly being, no less.

Bella blushed slightly, her long eyelashes fluttering, enchanting everyone in the room, before she slowly nodded, "Mm."

Another girl demanded, "Can we meet him? Please? Pretty please?!"

There were a few others who requested. In the past, they didn't dare to voice anything in front of the Leader unless necessary; however, right now, they could sense that the Leader has become quite lenient and easy to converse with.

Bella, met by an unexpected and persistent request, heaved a long sigh, before commanding, "Silence, now!"

Everyone quieted down.

She picked up her phone and after regaining her calm breathing, dialed the number.

Everyone watched in anticipation as their Leader called the man of her dreams.

*Click*

[Bella? What happened?]

Bella took a deep breath, before voicing,

"R-Ri-Richard…"

Jennifer gasped and Lena had a similar reaction upon hearing the Leader calling her brother by his name.

Meanwhile, the other members were grinning, seeing their Leader being all shy talking to her man.

[Ho~yes, Be~lla?]

Bella blushed furiously, hearing her brother's coquettish voice.

She took several more breaths before asking, "Umm…can you come to the conference room? Please?"

She disconnected the call and took a deep breath, only to freeze upon finding Jennifer and Lena's knowing look.

'Gah! Why do they also have to be here?!' The poor girl was quite troubled.

"Leader really adores Mister Richard." One of the members voiced followed by a giggle.

"More like she has already assumed him as her husband, and being all shy like a newly wedded bride," Caroline commented, much to Bella's chagrin.

"Shaddup! You are not allowed to tease your Leader."

The older one only grinned in response, seeing the lady, once stoic and cold, now a blushing mess.

*Hiss*

The doors of the conference room split open and revealed the figure of a young man who appeared before everyone.

Richard stepped into the conference room, his presence commanding the attention of everyone inside. His long red hair, tied neatly into a sleek ponytail, shimmered under the soft glow of the chandelier, resembling flames tamed into elegance.

The black shirt and trousers he wore clung perfectly to his tall, lean frame, accentuating his sharp features and quiet strength.

His golden eyes glowed like molten gold, piercing through the room with an intensity that made even the bravest hesitate to meet his gaze for too long.

Everyone held their breath as Richard stepped toward Bella and after encircling his hand around her slender waist, he asked the people, "I heard you all were teasing my Bella?"

That 'my Bella' earned a round of squeals and awes from the audience. They all were dazed by his looks and impressed by how boldly the man held the lady who always remained miles away from a man's touch in the past.

Richard had already discerned what lies she must have spoken in front of everyone. The way she called his name was enough to give him the hint.

Bella blushed, her eyes swimming around as she lowered her gaze and inched closer to him.

"So you are the man who has captivated our Leader," Kevin asked with a grin, sizing up Richard and giving a nod of approval.

"She got a fine taste~" Caroline voiced, her eyes couldn't get off the handsome features of the young man.

"Leader…your husband is so cool….his eyes, haah~"

Seeing their growing interest in Richard and the not-so-healthy gazes of the females, Bella suddenly stepped forward shielded her man behind, and announced,

"He is mine!"

Another round of squeal, and this time, even Richard was surprised to see Bella being so assertive.

Richard hugged the girl from behind, before whispering, "Calm down, Bella, they aren't going to take me away."

The raven-haired woman felt a shiver running down her spine feeling his hot breath on her neck before she meekly nodded and lowered her arms.

Caroline's lips stretched into a smile, before she asked, "So Mister Richard…there are a few things we all would like to know."
