Chapter 264 Red Dragon
As soon as the Red Dragon Blood Essence entered his body, a deep, deep sense of satisfaction washed over him and the Cosmic Dragon Energy immediately started to exude a wild, rampaging aura that burst out of him in a rush of power.
His Darklight enhanced body got to work once more, and rapidly absorbed the Red Dragon Blood Essence.
An hour.
Two hours passed very quickly.
Elliot could feel the Red Dragon portion of his Cosmic Dragon Energy become more and more unruly.
It writhed and struggled powerfully to assert its dominance over the others. Being the only bloodline that approached completion, it was nearing a very rudimentary sort of sentience, and it somehow knew that it was in the perfect situation. If he could somehow swallow and take over the dragon energies of all the other colours…
However, the Cosmic Dragon Energy stood silent and strong, just like a massive cliff that stretched for as far as the eye could see resisting the endless crashes of a violent ocean in the midst of a tropical storm.
Wham! Wham! Wham!
Again and again, the Red Dragon tried to crack open the Cosmic Dragon Energy so it could get to the other dragon energies contained within it.
But to completely no avail.
After another hour of powering up through the absorption of the final bits of the Red Dragon Blood Essence, the Red Dragon Energy retreated to gather all of its power and strength.
Like a massive tidal wave rising up a hundred meters tall and traveling at the insane speed of two hundred kilometers an hour, the Red Dragon Energy charged at the Cosmic Dragon Energy one final time in a glorious, all out attack!
GRAHHHH!!!
An ethereal reptilian roar sounded from within Elliot’s body.
And then…
WHAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!
All across the line, in every single energy pocket within his body, the Red Dragon Energy smashed violently against the Cosmic Dragon Energy.
And like all tidal waves going against the largest and strongest cliffs of the world, it broke apart completely. Smashed into a billion small pieces, it finally accepted its fate as a lesser energy state.
Liquids have to bow before solids.
Dragon Energy must bend the knee before Cosmic Dragon Energy.
As soon as the Red Dragon Energy broke apart, the Cosmic Dragon Energy immediately absorbed every last drop of it.
“Good. One final step… Life Seeds and Living Armor. Let’s do it.” Elliot consumed the two sources of energy and his internals swirled once more.
But with his Cosmic Dragon Energy at such a dense level, it didn’t take too long before he completed the process.
And as soon as it was done, Elliot felt it.
An awakening of sorts.
[What… is this place…]
Elliot was stunned.
The Red Dragon Energy that was absorbed… actually came to life?
“What on earth is happening?” Elliot thought incredulously.
[Hah… hah… I am alive. But… what is this feeling?]
“Hey. Can you hear me?” Elliot thought loudly.
Immediately, a chorus of replies greeted him.
“Yes, Master.”
“Of course we can, why wouldn’t we be able to hear you? Have you finally gone daft? Are you going to die soon?”
“Shut up you stupid bird. Stop spouting such unlucky nonsense!”
“I am here, master. Do you need anything?”
“Yes.”
“Hmmmm.”
The awakened Red Dragon continued to speak slowly to himself as though he didn’t hear anything.
[I… don’t have a physical body. What am I? Where… where is my body?]
“Hmmmmm. How do I get in touch with him?” Elliot thought to himself with a sense of excitement in his heart.
[What? What is this sense of excitement? What is this… sense of authority? And… Intent! Intent to communicate!]
“Feelings? It can sense my feelings and my intentions? Hohoho. That’s even better.” Elliot smiled.
He immediately expressed his intention to communicate intensely.
[Communication…? Is this God? How…]
“Sense my intent. I wish for you to tell me who you are.” Elliot thought coldly as he willed for the energy to introduce himself.
He could distinctly sense that he was on the verge of a breakthrough.
[God? Dragon God, is that you?]
[After so long… could it be that you have appeared just for me, your faithful servant?]
“Yes. I am the Dragon God. Enough talking to yourself and tell me who you are!” Elliot commanded loudly in his public mindspace and immediately triggered another chorus of comments from his beasts.
“I knew it. He has gone completely daft. Crazy. Insane. I claim half his assets.”
“Dragon God? What’s going on? The Dragon God has been missing for countless aeons.”
“Master, would you like us to go over?”
“Hmmmmmm…”
“Master? Are you hallucinating? I remember hallucinating a little bit when I was really hungry. Do you want food? I can go hunt some for you!”
“No, don’t worry. I am fine. I am trying to… talk to the dragon energy in my body.” Elliot told his beasts calmly.
“He is crazy. Nuts.”
“No! Master is just hungry! Give him some food!”
“I am going over to check.”
Immediately, the beautiful form of Khellendra appeared next to him.
As soon as she appeared though, she gasped loudly in shock!
“Kyaa!!” She couldn’t help but scream lightly.
Instantly, the space around her shimmered as Khalendros appeared next to his wife.
Elliot turned to look at Khalendros questioningly.
“Explain.” He said in a much colder tone than usual.
“Your aura… and the energy you’re giving out… It’s completely and undeniably dragon.” Khalendros immediately replied obediently.
[Dragon God! Hear my cry… I am… I am… wait. Who am I?]
Elliot stared at Khalendros as a truly absurd but incredible thought suddenly struck him.
Elliot closed his eyes and focused on sensing and understanding his body, and the strange awakened Red Dragon Energy.
He cast his senses widely and deeply into every part of his body and his soul.
As he did so, he finally “saw” it.
The Red Dragon.
It was a huge and powerful looking adult Red Dragon.
But it was not just any Red Dragon.
It was… himself!!
Yes.
The voice that he “heard” was his own voice crying out within the deepest reaches of his own soul.
And he could “hear” it because a portion of his soul had transformed into a Red Dragon!
