Chapter 1175: Familiar name



There was a moment of silence before there was a glow that appeared around Ariel's leg.

That glowing soon spread all over her body and in no time at all, it seemed like she was starting to change.

Her legs came together and seemed like they were sticking to each other. It was as if they were forming a single limb with the way that they stuck together like that.

The skin that was on her legs started to change colour as well, going from the normal colour of skin to a greenish colour.

This was similar to the tails that the others in the room had.

This was the green of the scales that the mermaids had on their fins.

So her lower half was transforming back to its original shape as the potion broke the contract. It didn't take long for her legs to take the form of a tail and she went from standing in the air bubble to sitting down at the bottom of the air bubble.

Luckily for her, Zyra had already expected this and had reached out to take her hand.

Ariel was a bit confused why Zyra had done this, but she soon realized why when Zyra pulled her towards her. She was pulling her out of this air bubble so she could go into the water.

She couldn't separate the bubble since it was a powerful air bubble that was created with the power of a god, but that didn't mean that she wasn't able to take Ariel out of the bubble with her magic.

She had already done this earlier when she reached into the bubble to give Ariel the potion. Once Zyra pulled Ariel out of the air bubble, she released her to let her float there in the water. Ariel took some time adjusting back to the water before suddenly giving a flip of her tail. With that flip of the tail, she suddenly flipped in place before landing right where she had been standing before.

"Ha, ha, ha, it's a good feeling to be back. It's been a while since I've had my tail, but it seems like I haven't lost my skills at all." Ariel said while laughing.

I didn't really understand what she meant by this, but seeing the look on Dicus' face, it seemed that it was quite impressive what she did.

It must be a mermaid thing since I didn't know what she was doing.

After waving her tail a bit, she turned around to Zyra and said, "Aunt Zyra, thanks for helping me break this contract."

Zyra was surprised to be called this at first, but there was a smile that appeared on her face as she looked at Ariel before she said, "You're welcome."

After that, Dicus came over and hugged Ariel while saying, "Cousin Ariel, can you show me how to do what you just did?"

Ariel was surprised to be hugged by Dicus like this, but she also revealed a smile just like Zyra did as she turned to give her a nod before saying, "Of course. I'll teach you whatever you want to know."

It was as if they were discovering the joy of family for the first time, though it wasn't as if they never had family before. It was just that they had never contacted this part of their extended family before.

The former crown prince also stood there with a smile on his face before saying, "It's already getting late. Stay for dinner and rest up tonight, we'll head back and talk to my brother when morning comes."

Since we had left in the evening, we had arrived here late at night.

It wouldn't be wise to head back in the dark, so it was right to stay here for a while.

The former crown prince was the one that cooked dinner.
