Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent

Chapter 68 He is The Chosen One

Blood flowed from the corner of Aaron's lips, having been severely injured by the impact of Genghis Khan's sword stabbing into his body.

Genghis Khan laughed loudly, violently pulling out the curved sword from Aaron's body, causing a gaping hole to form in it.

The gravity manipulation talent was gone, Aaron fell from the sky in terrible condition. His eyes shot up to the sky, noticing Genghis Khan still sitting on his horse and only slightly affected by Aaron's purple sword attack.

'What... am I gonna die?' Aaron asked.

His body began to turn cold, the floor of the Dark Dimension flooded with blood pouring out of Aaron's gaping hole in his stomach.

Aerith flew towards Aaron quickly through the protective dome wall, now standing next to him.

"Aerith...?"

"Hang in there, Aaron. I won't let you die!"

Aaron's eyes were closed in his highly critical situation. Right in his subconscious, Aaron saw he was sitting cross-legged in a place with a dark mountainous setting.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Right under his feet, the surface of the place seemed to be covered with ankle-deep water. Yet, the water wasn't wet. He got up and stepped around, trying to figure out where he was.

"You still rely on those strange powers to survive."

"Pathetic."

Mysterious voices, like a man's voice, which seemed heavy, filled Aaron's ear cavity. He tried to turn his head around, looking for the voice's origin in various places. But, every time he tried to walk closer to a mountain with a volcanic peak, it got further out of his reach.

It felt like someone was controlling the place, trapping Aaron in a place he knew nothing about.

"You!"

The scene in the place turned into a secluded place with many chains on the room's walls. The floor was still flooded with a different color of water, black.

Now, the voice clearly sounded to Aaron while he was in the place.

He turned around and saw a man sitting on an iron throne with his hands and feet tied to the chair. Aaron began to get curious, slowly stepping back away from him.

"How do you feel, Aaron?" asked the man, who had long, straight hair with bright red eyes.

"H-How do you know my name?"

"I know all the names of the people with my blood running through their bodies."

"I don't understand."

"Lucy is a powerful woman. She holds my blood directly from Visiri," she said.

Aaron gasped. He didn't expect that the man shackled in the iron chair could know the name of the person he cared about.

The young man immediately asked why the man knew his mother's name, as well as the relationship between him and his mother, since he kept talking about his blood and ancestry. The man smiled, then laughed loudly, and his laughter echoed throughout the place.

"You're so funny, Aaron. You don't know me, even though I saved your life," the man said.

Isabella had told Aaron he was in a strange situation when Elvan threatened him. A mysterious energy with a negative aura emitted from his body when he was about to kill Elvan. Yet, Aaron didn't know anything about it.

"Is it possible you have something to do with the dark energy full of negative aura?" Aaron asked.

"I don't prefer to call it a negative aura. I prefer the first dark energy."

"You managed to awaken my power, even if it was only half. Still, if you manage to reach a place like this, you have the power to control my power completely," replied the man.

"What is your name?"

"Azazel."

The man seemed to raise his left hand, still shackled by the black chain attached to the iron chair. He said in detail that the strength of the black chain had begun to weaken after using force.

"If you would help me open the chain shackling my left hand, then you can gain great power you never imagined before."

"You don't wanna die, do you?" the man asked, startling Aaron.

Aaron realized that he was truly on the verge of death. Two Genghis Khan swords were unsheathed and pierced deeply through his back to his stomach.

The young man guessed the man before him knew something that could make Aaron free from the death trap.

"What should I do? What are the consequences of your great power?" Aaron asked.

"There's no need to think about the consequences. The most important thing is to save your life as you are my only chance to revive," replied the man, raising his left hand and extending it forward.

Azazel briefly explained what Aaron had to do to free him from the chains. Aaron listened carefully to Azazel's words; he easily understood what he was telling him.

The young man lifted his foot forward, slowly stepping bit by bit closer to Azazel. The closer Aaron got to Azazel, the more he could feel the dark, strong energy power of the man.

Still, Aaron didn't know exactly who Azazel was and why he could be in his subconscious. One big question that Aaron thought about right when standing before Azazel.

What is Lucy's relationship with Azazel? Why did he mention the name Visiri? What is Visiri?

"Aaron?" asked Azazel flatly.

That word broke Aaron's reverie. He stretched his hand forward and opened the chain shackle without a key.

The shackles opened, and Azazel's left hand was perfectly free. Azazel laughed with satisfaction at having a subordinate like Aaron.

"Come closer, Aaron," Azazel pleaded firmly.

Aaron moved his body forward, crouching right in front of Azazel, who was still sitting with his right hand, legs, and neck shackled. Azazel's freed left hand was pointed forward, his fingertips touching the young man's forehead.

The maroon ball glowed strongly before Aaron's forehead, then entered Aaron's body and caused the young man to scream loudly, full of pain.

Aaron's veins on the left side of his body glowed red, indicating that Azazel's original darkness power had merged with Aaron's body.

"AAAAKKH!"

"Feel the anger! Feel the hatred! Feel the will of power!"

"With my power, you will become invincible!"

Outside Aaron's subconscious, Aerith still held Aaron's head on her thigh. The tears were unstoppable from her eyes, pouring down on Aaron's face.

Genghis Khan dismounted, ready to take over Aaron's body and enter the world to rule once again.

Visibly, Genghis Khan's body turned red with the direction of his energy focused on Aaron's forehead. Aerith yelled at him, asking him to stop this process.

Aerith was getting annoyed that Genghis Khan wasn't listening to her. She attacked the man with her power, but nothing happened. Instead, a warning system appeared before Aerith.

"Damn it! Am I going to fail to hold you back?" asked Aerith.

"I don't know who you are. Still, I'm grateful. Thanks to you, I found a good body to start my conquest again," replied Genghis Khan.

Just when the percentage panel almost reached 100%, Aaron opened both eyes powerfully, accompanied by the fusion of two different colored dark energies, purple and red.

Aerith was pushed far enough out of the protective dome, Genghis Khan gasped and jumped back.

Aerith raised her head, a smile painted on her face as she saw Aaron rise from his recumbent position, but he seemed to rise holding a spear bearing the Azazel flag.

"Damn! Did his Dark Azazel power rise again?" asked Aerith.

"I didn't expect you to be this strong. I underestimated you."

"Genghis Khan!" shouted Aaron, brandishing a magic spear toward the man.

"I will defeat you!"
