Reincarnated to Bonk in Another World

Chapter 62: Despair

Chapter 62: Despair

Right before the king finished his day, he received the news that his son, Roan, was planning to meet him due to an emergency.

The king was also a werewolf. Unlike Yale, he had a muscular body that actually made him look younger. There was an immeasurable pressure emanating from his eyes and the ministers had gotten used to this.

In fact, this was one of the requirements to become a minister who worked inside the throne room. He made sure they were strong first before they were smart. This allowed him to get both smart and strong people as his ministers.

Sitting down on his golden throne, he said, "Call Roan here."

The soldier on the opposite side of the room immediately reached the door and left the room, executing his plan.

Not long after, Roan and Arsa walked on the red carpet and kneeled on one knee before the king.

The king placed his elbow on the throne while resting his cheek on top of his hand, looking at Roan and Arsa with a bored face. "So, what do you want to say?"

Roan and Arsa shivered for a split second as Roan said, "I would like the king to punish the sixth prince, Yale. He has committed a crime for releasing his power in public and endangered your subjects."

The king narrowed his eyes and raised his left hand.

Suddenly, another werewolf appeared. He had covered everything, including his face and body, so no one could see his appearance other than his eyes.

"Yes, My King." The man kneeled in front of him.

"Tell me about it," said the king while looking at Roan's face that gradually turned pale.

"Your Majesty, the sixth prince has!" He wanted to convince him before the man in black revealed the information, but the king waved his hand, ordering him to stop.

Roan simply didn't know why the king actually wanted to hear the story from this guy. He knew who they were.

The man in black was the Black Wolves group that monitored the entire capital city, making sure the king had the real information, preventing all his people from telling a lie in this throne room.

Roan couldn't understand why the king would do such a thing for a prince that he had thrown away.

The man in black obeyed his words and stated, "According to our information, the sixth prince has acknowledged a Demon Dog as his teacher.

"At the same time, he wields a wooden bat that seems to be supporting him in controlling his power. The witnesses have stated that they can see the black and white flame covering the bat after the fact that the sixth prince failed to use it on his first try.

"The sixth prince used that power to hit the third prince and launch him away. We haven't gathered the details, but the distance is approximately two hundred feet away.

"He also hit his ex-fiancee with a similar power." The man finished his report and fell silent, raising the tension inside the room.

The king didn't say anything for a minute. However, the ministers, who were standing inside the throne room, knew he was truly pissed off.

If Yale indeed could become the one percent, his strength might even go beyond him if he was nurtured well.

Yet, these two had angered him. This made the king furious, and he asked, "Where is Yale now?"

"He has left the city, and the last time we saw him was at the west gate. Do you want us to tail him? He left with his teacher about an hour ago."

"No. There's no need." The king shook his head and glared at Roan and Arsa. "You two disgusted me. Throw him away from here. I don't want to see them here anymore. The punishment will be discussed later."

"Wait. Fat!" Roan wanted to stop him, but the moment he tried to call him Father, the king disappeared.

The next thing they realized, the king had covered his mouth and threw him to the gate. "I don't need any more words from your disgusting mouth."

Bam.

Roan crashed to the gate and spat a mouthful of blood before getting knocked out.

After that, the king looked at Arsa and said, "When your Father still ruled your family, his eyes were among the sharpest. Yet, when your eldest brother succeeded the family, he didn't have even ten percent of his sharpness.

"There is only one reason why I allowed everything to happen. I once met someone who could wield two elements simultaneously and he told me he could do such a thing because he was overwhelmed by his emotion.

"That's right. Your own foolish judgment was the one that allowed me to train Yale. His teacher might be a part of this, but it didn't matter.

"You have thrown away what your father has fought with his entire life, and your family will be the one that faces it." The king coldly walked back to his throne and waved his left hand, asking the guards to bring them out.

Despair filled Arsa's face as she couldn't refute a single word from the king. Each word felt like a needle piercing her heart.

She didn't even react when the guards dragged her outside as if she was broken.

The king then looked at the man in black. "Tell them there's no need to chase after him and his teacher."

"Understood." The man in black nodded and disappeared.

After that, he looked at the ministers and said, "The sixth prince will truly become among that one percent. Whoever hurts him means harming the kingdom itself, and you will be handled with the law."

"We hear and obey." The ministers immediately lowered their heads. Although they didn't say it, they truly desired to have Yale.

The king stated that they couldn't harm him, but it didn't mean they couldn't make a mutual relationship with him. There was a chance that Yale might be someone important in the future, so this was a good investment.

Meanwhile, Roan and Arsa had wasted it. Roan's Mother came from a Marquis Family, so his family would also be implicated with this. Still, Arsa's family was the one who experienced the majority of the impact of this news.

After all, they had wasted their chance by throwing him away, humiliating him in front of many people, and blatantly cheating on him.

All ministers who were discussing the matter shared the same thought.

"Fool."

They needed to warn their family not to offend the sixth prince anymore and felt thankful that the fools gave this important news to them.

After hearing the news, the king said, "You all are dismissed. You can go back now. I need time alone."

The ministers' expressions brightened as they saw the opportunity to inform their people. They immediately thanked the king and went back home.

Meanwhile, the king closed his eyes and remembered what he had experienced in the past few years.

A few years ago, when Yale was five years old, he brought him to the Demon God Temple to receive the blessing and his job.

Yale was his pride and joy because he was someone who respected strength and courage like what Yale said to Yennex. This was the country's motto.

Yale had shown his ability a year after he was born. He showed he managed to learn anything that not normal people could.

He thought Yale might become strong and wise enough to lead the country better than him. However, he soon fell into despair when he learned Yale actually had two elements.

Back then, he thought of abandoning him straight away because of the fact he was an anomaly.

However, he chose not to abandon him. Instead, he tried to put more effort, believing that Yale's wisdom might be able to uncover the secret of the anomaly. At that time, not only would he become the strongest, but he was also smart enough to handle everything. It would be the golden age of the Pride Kingdom.

To support him, he immediately searched for the man he had fought in the past, seeking the secret of him controlling the power.

But he was surprised to know that the way to wield this power was to make him hate the kingdom.

So, the king fell into despair once again, not knowing what to do. After all, he could make him the strongest, but he needed to sacrifice his entire kingdom for it.

Hence, the king decided to lessen the damage by giving him a mansion and the people to live with. He hoped this would awaken his emotion and allow him to wield that power.

Unfortunately, nothing changed even after a few years. Nonetheless, the king didn't give up and planned to continue the entire thing for a decade.

Although he looked cold in Yale's mind, he made sure that it wasn't enough for Yale to hate him to the bone. So, when he grew up later, he wouldn't destroy the kingdom.

Everything changed when Arsa blatantly broke the engagement. This incident invoked Yale's emotion and this was the thing that he truly needed to awaken Yale.

He thought about using this foolish woman to antagonize Yale by letting her do whatever she wanted. Of course, he forced her not to harm Yale physically.

Yale became even more determined to wield his power. He started training and almost killed people.

And eventually, the hatred began to build up in his heart and actually sped up Yale's improvement. It wasn't related to the two elements, but it was related to his wisdom.

Yale became mature faster, making him believe that sooner or later, Yale would find a way to use his power. And the hatred in his heart would be directed to Arsa, Roan, and their respective families.

Nonetheless, he didn't expect Yale to forgive him either. He had planned to be killed by Yale in the future if that was what it took for Yale to be the supreme king.

Even though he couldn't see the future of his kingdom, his pride soared in the sky with just a thought that his kingdom had reached its golden age.

That was why he was daring enough to do it this way.

He didn't feel remorse for Yale's suffering as he only saw everyone based on their strength and courage. It was horrible parenting, but this was the best thing Yale could receive in order to awaken his power sooner.

Remembering this memory, the king took a few deep breaths and muttered, "I will do anything to make this kingdom prosper. If my life can be used to make the kingdom become the strongest in the world, so be it."

He looked at the empty throne room with an orange sky illuminating the room.

He felt loneliness in his heart, but he didn't show it on his face. His focus remained on his ambition as he said, "No matter the price, I will bring this kingdom on the path to its peak."

While the king was remembering the scene, Yale and Albert had been building their tents, preparing to rest.

"That's right, Teacher. I have a question. Why do you accept me as your student? I think there's no need for you to do something like that.

"After thinking for a while, I am not sure whether there is a limit to your power or not. I mean, I think you can still bestow this power to a few other people.. But if I took this important spot just because I was beaten by them, I couldn't accept it." Yale looked down with an apologetic face.

"Nah. I have decided to make you one of my students in Borsoli Town, specifically after hearing what you said after meeting that Lilith."

"Really? Though, you want to call her Her Majesty. People would be offended otherwise."

"I am not used to it and I don't think I will offer my loyalty to kings." Albert shook his head.

"Whatever. We're alone now, so no one cares about it." Yale shrugged.

"Fair enough."

"That doesn't mean you can forget about my advice."

Yale and Albert exchanged looks for a moment before they laughed.

"Pfft. Hahaha."
