Chapter 206: Chapter 206 Regretting to the Core_1
Yun Hai’s father just laughed awkwardly in response.
He too found the situation somewhat peculiar.
Could the town have better feng shui?Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Otherwise, why wouldn’t he wake up at home, but would upon arrival to the town?
Yun Hai and Yun Lei exchanged glances.
“Our younger brother has awakened,” each word laced with profound bitterness.
Yun Lei also felt the bitterness, “Yes, our younger brother has woken up, he’s awake.”
He must know what they have done by now, this probably means their brotherhood is over! Originally when their younger brother’s wife had a falling out and went to the town, he thought she might come to them for help, at which point, he certainly would have lent a hand. However, there’s no need for that now. Their younger brother is awake. If they need his help in the future, he might not offer it, given the things his wife did which they didn’t stop.
Zhang Cuihua and Zhao Fang heard about this development and their faces turned extremely pale, as if they had swallowed dung.
Someone who was supposed to lie in bed for the rest of his life had awoken not too long after. This was a big issue for them.
They had offended their promising young brother-in-law, whom they had intended to cozy up to.
“Sister-in-law, do you think our younger brother knows about that incident?” Zhao Fang quietly asked Zhang Cuihua.
If he knew, how would he treat her?
Thinking about the stern and imposing face their brother-in-law maintained over the years, she felt a little intimidated.
As for the kids at home, none of them were not afraid of their uncle.
Zhang Cuihua glanced at Zhao Fang. She felt a bit dejected thinking about her two sons who weren’t so young anymore. She had been trying to build a good relationship with her younger brother’s wife earlier, hoping he would use his influence to help get them into the army where they could earn a monthly stipend. However, now it seemed this plan would definitely fall through.
There was no way their sister-in-law wouldn’t tell their younger brother about the incident.
She was so regretful that she could turn green.
She shouldn’t have been so ruthless. When her younger brother-in-law was in a vegetative state, she assumed he wouldn’t wake up again. Therefore, when she heard that her husband was going to help, she simply agreed. But who could have known he’d awaken so quickly.
Zhang Cuihua looked at Zhao Fang with resentment. “Isn’t it obvious? He must have told her. Now, if we need anything from them, I’m afraid they won’t help. Why did I listen to you in the first place?”
Zhao Fang refused to be blamed, “Sister-in-law, we agreed on this together, I didn’t instigate anything. You were scared of being dragged down too. But now that he’s awake, you’re blaming it on me. I won’t accept it.”
Zhang Cuihua glared at Zhao Fang.
Zhao Fang glared right back.
The two sisters-in-law began to have conflicts over this matter.
On Yun Hai’s father’s side, he had been congratulated by others. He had no choice but to accept their congratulations mingled with sarcasm. He got an excuse from his wife and left early.
On the way back, Yun Hai’s mother asked his father, “Old man, will our third son blame us? Will he question us?”
Yun Hai’s father knew if he didn’t answer, his wife would keep asking.
“He will blame us, he will question us, you should know all of this. Why are you still asking me? Do you know how people were congratulating me today? For the next month, our household will be the talk of the village.”
What do you think?
