Chapter 2139 Contribution
Chapter 2139 Contribution
The meeting went on for a few hours.
The whole team looked through the profiles and started picking some people that would play a decent role in their plan.
After the meeting was over, they all collected some Divine Dimension Fragments left behind by Sam for this plan. Icarus looked at the fragment is holding. Just one peek inside, and he couldn't help take deep breath.
No matter how many times he saw it inside, he couldn't help but feel amazed every single time.
The space inside which could be considered as big as a city is filled with blueprints and recording crystals… to the brim.
Not a single square inch is left. If a person enters it, they will suffocate to death. It is that full.
And they are all blue prints left behind by Sam. The best part is that he created one for each Hub branch and each Fragment has completely different blueprints. There is no repeated document. Maybe there are some variants of same product in there, but they are all different.
Icarus is almost reluctant to do this.
He wore a disguise and went to the exchange center. He is about to do something that was never done before. He is trying to empty the exchange center.
He placed the Divine dimension fragment on the desk, along with a bunch of tokens. "I am here to submit contributions of these people's behalf. The black tokens altogether get ninety percent of the whole contribution while the remaining tokens get the remaining share. We would like it in separate spirit stones."
The receptionist looked at Icarus in confusion.
"You want to submit all the things in the divine dimension fragment?"
"Not submit. Contribute."
"What does that mean?" The receptionist asked. Icarus cleared his throat and brought out a book that's as thick as a loaf of bread and opened specific page.
Deep inside that book, there laid a very old law, that almost got lost in fine print.
"Rule 1234 of the Exchange center. Any residence of the academy realm can offer up their findings as contributions instead of just submission. Not only would the contributor gain the price determined by the appraisal formation, the exchange center will set up a price for the information, theory or a blue print.
When any student of the academy wants to buy this, they have to pay the price and that price will be given to the contributor."
Icarus had to read the rule out loud.
The receptionist looked at him in surprise. "There is such a rule? How come I don't know about it?"
The receptionist asked and checked the book. It is indeed the rule book of the Academy realm.
It is understandable though. This rule hasn't been used in centuries. When trying to use the lawsuits to deal with the Academies, Sam looked through the rules of the Academy realm more than a dozen times.
And in that process, he came across this.
At first, he also ignored that rule. It is a bit stupid. After all, the research of every person is valuable and they don't want to give it to others, even with the price. And the whole point of exchange center is for them to get something for their research without actually selling it.
The contribution rule is just a bunch of bullshit for them.
Sam understood why the rule became so obsolete that no one really cared about it anymore, including the receptionists.
However, after he decided to damage the economy of this realm, there is no way, he will not use such a great rule.
The receptionist looked at Icarus and said.
"Honestly, I cannot make a decision on this. If this is indeed the rule, I have never used it before. I would like to send a message to the headquarters and get their approval."
Icarus nodded and he walked in to meet his manager. Even his manager was a shocked and called the headquarters.
At this moment, in an isolated pocket dimension.
This is a world of clouds. That's all one would say if they took a look at it. There is not a single landmass visible to the naked eye and all anyone could ever see is a sea of clouds covering the blue sky.
In the middle of it all, there is a large floating mountain on top of which laid a busy mansion. Several people are looking at hundreds of screens looking at the lives of various people.
All of these are the members that handle the administrative tasks of the Academy realm. All of them have different duties.
Finding new students across various realms, handling the coins of the realm, monitoring the appraisal formations, training the new members for the administrative tasks, etc.
And at this moment, in one of the cabins of the mansion, a middle aged man was looking at over a dozen screens. Those are the screens monitoring the exchange centers as well as some other places in the Academy realm.
At that moment, his gaze is locked on one particular screen. The screen that showed Icarus in his disguise as he waited in the exchange center for the receptionist to come back. The middle-aged man sported a crew cut hair and wore the purple uniform the rest of the staff are wearing. He stood in the middle of the room with an air of curiosity rather than the authority.
He had pale skin, blonde hair and blue eyes. Tall figure with broad chest and slim waist. That gruff beard made him way too handsome for a guy who works like a shut in.
At that moment, a formation on the wall lit up and started blinking.
*SNAP*
With the snap of his finger, the light stopped blinking and turned into a constant glow.
"Hello."
"Sir, this is the manager of the exchange center in the Olympian region."
"Speak."
"There is a situation in our branch. A person came here and showed some old rule about contributing. We checked our logs, the last time the rule was used in the realm was more than a hundred and twenty years ago. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
It seems like he has a lot of stuff that he wants to add as a contribution. He even brought a Divine Dimension fragment to carry those things.
"I am yet to hear your problem." The man interrupted. The manager was stumped and spoke.
"Sir, we are not sure if we should take the contribution."
"Is it in the rule book?"
"Yes, Sir."
"Is the rule book legitimate?"
"Yes, Sir."
"Then why the hell are you asking me if you want to do something that is already clearly stated in the rules?"
"I…I…"
"Don't keep the resident waiting. Go there and finish your job. If you call for something like this once again, you are fired."
He cut the call.
He looked at Icarus with keen interest. Because unlike most people in the Academy realm, there is no way, Sam, his friends, the hub and any other things that he did can hide from these people.
He tapped on a different formation and made a call.
"Give me the Identity of the resident that is currently making the contribution in the Olympian realm's exchange center. Get me his spiritual signature as well as the spiritual signatures that he submitted. Send me the constant surveillance on him and his friends."
He cut the call even before he could hear the response from the other side.
Meanwhile, back in the Olympian realm exchange center.
The manager came back and took over the process. He took a peek inside the Divine Dimension fragment and he was stunned.
"All of them?"
He asked.
Icarus just nodded.
"This will take days."
"Then do it."
He then took out a communication token and gave it to the manager. "Contact me, after you are done. However, I hope you will follow the first come first serve policy that you advocate.
That means, unless my transaction is complete, you shall not perform any other transaction."
Icarus turned around and left.
The manager gulped. He knew something big is about to happen. He made the receptionist close the exchange center. He then took out a recording crystal. He placed it in the appraisal array.
A video played out very quickly, there is not much he could make out of it, however he got the title of it.
'Concept of Decoding Sword techniques using Vectors. Lesson 1: Stab' (A/N: It is theoretically possible guys, but it is not useful in real life that much because, an average human cannot do such calculations on the go while fighting.)
And it showed a video of how the vectors work and how they can be related to a swordsman's movement, when he performs a stab. Vector principles in the video are modified to be suitable for the spiritual energy and its behavior.
Once the video is appraised, the manager looked at the number intently, waiting for it to change and give him a surprise and surprise it did.
