Chapter 83 Beginning Of The Plan
In fact, even Wang Ming, who had seen him many times in the past when he was still the heir to the Blackthorne Family, had not recognized him.
However, Lily's appearance had not changed much in these five years, nor could she use the Pixie Race's Bloodline Skill — Pixie Mirage, like their uncle and mother.
"If you can be here, why can't we? And, of course, we are here to enter the Secret Realm." Lily said matter-of-factly in a slightly older female's voice.
Garrett sighed as he rubbed his aching forehead, "Let's talk after we enter."
Then he entered the tent.
"Senior, it's good-
to see you again!" The twins finished each other's sentence as they bowed to Lucian after Garrett entered the tent.
Lucian nodded at them and glanced at the guard, who was still blocking them from entering the tent.
The guard gulped nervously, hastily bowed, and said, "Esteemed guests, please forgive me for not realizing you are friends of Sir Garrett."
"... Miss, I cannot allow you to enter without verifying your identity. Can you please take off your mask?" He bent his trembling body even more until his forehead touched the ground.
As soon as he spoke, he regretted his decision, but as a guard of the Orchard Family, his responsibility was to protect those from the Orchard Family.
"Larry, just let them in. I can guarantee with my life that they mean no harm. They are like family to me." Garrett's voice sounded from inside the tent.
The guard hesitated for a few seconds before giving up. After the recent events, Garrett and his adventurer party were highly valued by his master. Therefore, his words carried a lot of weight.
'I hope this isn't a mistake that I'll regret in the future.' The guard thought to himself and stepped aside.
"You may enter."
"Thank you, Mr. Guard," Lily said, and then she and the others entered the tent once the guard moved aside.
As for the young chubby Human man, he was astonished and disappointed as the show he was expecting did not occur.
'Damn, so they are actually friends of the person who found the Secret Realm.'
Even the Rabbit-Kin woman was surprised, as well as relieved that the three people were not harmed like others who previously tried to meet Sir Garrett.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Meanwhile, after entering the tent, Lily muttered in awe as she gazed at the luxurious decorations.
"Wow, so beautiful,"
"Follow me," Garrett said. Then he led them to the dining area where Hervy, Lane, and James were sitting and eating.
"Sir James, I hope you don't mind if I bring a few people in — they are like my family," Garrett said as he bowed to James Orchard.
Hearing Garrett's words, James placed his knife and fork down onto his plate and smiled as he pointed to Hervy, "Although I don't mind, I think Hervy here thinks differently."
"Of course, this bastard promised he would cook Siren's Melody Poached Egg for us, but before he did, he ran off back to Thunderfall City." Hervy snorted.
"An important matter came up that needed my immediate attention." Lucian indifferently responded to him with a shrug, then after briefly glancing at the food on their plates, which had barely been touched, he continued, "Now that I'm here, I don't mind cooking for you all."
"However, you will still have to pay." He added.
'Oh, this mysterious Senior is going to cook for us?' James mused with anticipation after remembering how much the members of Lion's Liver praised Lucian's food. But just as his anticipation soared, he suddenly frowned, recalling his tent did not have a kitchen.
"Money is not an issue for us… at the moment. Even with Senior's high prices, we can manage for some time; however, Sir James' tent is not equipped with a kitchen." Lane said bitterly.
"Don't worry, as a competent chef, I don't travel anywhere without a kitchen," Lucian responded and then continued while rubbing his hands together, "Also, I came to the Moon Grove Forest precisely to stea… *Cough* I mean to feed my dear customers."
'...' Suddenly, everyone in the dining room became speechless.
Even Lily was stunned before rolling her eyes behind her mask, 'Big Brother Lucian only cares about Mana Stones.'
'... What about Lily?' She wondered with a blush.
"Senior, you brought an entire kitchen with you?" Garrett asked speechlessly while ignoring the fact Lucian basically said he came to steal their Mana Stones.
"Of course." Lucian nodded while glancing at Garrett as if were an idiot. He just said he does not travel anywhere without a kitchen. So, of course, he would have a kitchen on him.
"Anyway, do you have a tarp I can place my kitchen on? I don't want to dirty it." Lucian continued with a question.
However, instead of Garrett responding, James spoke with a nod, "I have a few tarps and other items that can be used as a base."
"As long as they are big enough to fit my kitchen, then it should be fine. Let's go outside." Lucian glanced at them and said before leaving the tent.
After Lucian left, everyone glanced at each other.
"His kitchen should just be a campfire with pots and pans, right?" Hervy said, which was what the others thought as well.
"Let's not make Owner Lucian wait," Lane said and then exited the tent, followed by the others.
Because the tent belonged to a family member from the Orchard Family there was no other tent within a hundred-foot radius of James' tent, which was perfect for Lucian.
"Owner Lucian, where would you like the tarps placed?" James asked him after he stepped outside of the tent.
Lucian did not immediately respond to him.
'Although this area is decent with plenty of space, the ground is rough and muddy,' Lucian pondered before suddenly his eyes lit up as he glanced at Garrett.
'He's an Earth Mage, and even though he's weak, he should have a bit of capability.'
