Chapter 204 - Smoking Brain
"You know that you asked two questions right now, right?" Kalur asked, with a joyous and teasing aura around him which caused Shane to remember what he said as he blurted out a
"Oh damn!"
Holding one hand above his mouth he apologized for being vulgar which was however ignored by the Old Emperor as he said,
"I don't mind that...and I'll take the questions you asked as one..I think I know what you want to ask.
You want to know to what degree the system can help someone and how strong other races without the system's help can become, or am I wrong?"
Shane just nodded his head because that was the first question that had popped in his head when he heard Kalur talk about other races that didn't have access to the system or didn't awaken it by entering the Dimension Portals.
There had to be a reason for that and Shane wanted to approach the subject slowly.
Kalur was aware of what Shane was trying and couldn't help but think that the youth in front of him was shrewd.
However, he didn't mind that, and instead, Kalur thought that it was correct to ask such questions early on before it was already too late.
"To answer your question simply without highlighting the difference between some races, you have to know that most stronger races have a unique planet with strong mana on it.
They don't need to enter the Primordial Dimensions for mana as it is the case for other Basic-races whose planet is manaless!
Their only problem is that they had to create their own cultivation manuals to gather, absorb and purify mana.
While they had to explore everything about mana for several millennia, the Primordial system gives you a finished result in a matter of seconds.
This is advantageous for newer races and one might wonder why every race doesn't take the opportunity to enter the Primordial Dimensions.
As you might have already figured out, some races fear the system's capabilities to punish everyone after the system awakening if they were to break their rules.
This is one reason for most advanced races to reject the Dimension Portals, even if they were to suddenly appear on their planet.
Another reason for them to reject the system is its limitations that prevent the powerful races from becoming much stronger.
After one reaches a certain realm, the system cannot provide support anymore because there are no techniques or worthy resources in the Dimensions left.
As such, strong races would receive some support from the system which would help them to increase their strength by a few realms at most.
Once they enter the last realm the system could support, they would have to go back to their old behavior and research more about mana to create their own, stronger manuals.
In the end, only new basic races or intermediate races earn something from the system, while a few individuals from advanced races enter the Dimension Portals to experiment with it.
Some even destroyed their whole cultivation to enter Basic Dimensions simply because they wanted to get to know the system!
To put it simply, the system can support you only to a small degree after you enter the main dimensions, while other advanced races who disregarded the existence of the Primordial Dimensions were able to become much stronger by creating their own cultivation manuals!"
Everything the Old Emperor said seemed to make sense to a certain degree. When Kalur finished, he could see that Shane was in his own world of thoughts as he mumbled,
"Doesn't that mean that the system is comparable to a trainer, training his whole team to his fullest capabilities before the strongest team members who exceed the trainer have to find their own path?"
Shane's head felt as if it was burning from the inside but he could comprehend everything much more easily than he expected while he was even able to retain a calm mind.
This allowed him to think clearly about everything he heard as he asked
"In that case, what's the worth of a perfect foundation? Can other races attain a perfect foundation without the system…?"
Shane was aware that he asked two questions at a time again but he couldn't stop himself from doing so. He could only stare at the Crimson-colored Kalur with his eyes that gleamed with curiosity and the desire to know more.
"I haven't heard from any race that attained a perfect foundation with or without the system's help to make an informed remark, but I can say for sure that the system is extremely useful for the early stages. It supports basic races to build a strong foundation as long as they work hard. This is more difficult for other races without the system's support!
A perfect foundation is said to be extremely powerful, that amplifies all traits of an individual by more than 300% when liquefying one's mana into drops.
This information is obviously not proven because nobody was able to attain a perfect foundation. But it should be much stronger than liquefying one's mana with a mana purity of 95% which gives an amplification of around 180%!"
'It would be interesting if another race without the system's support would have been able to attain a perfect foundation with their own cultivation manuals! Then the whole race could attain a perfect foundation as long as their body can cope with the stress of a perfectly purified mana pool!'
However, what astonished Shane greatly, were the Old Emperor's next words,
"According to combined research of a huge alliance, new races have it much easier to create a few strong individuals with one or even two perfect aspects. Nobody knows if the system's first [Mythic] missions to a new race are easier to solve or if it's a coincidence!"
'If it's a coincidence it doesn't matter, but the human race is new and we already have a lot of individuals with a few perfect traits. Nobody has been able to attain a perfect purified mana pool so far but there is Aisha with a perfect Expert physique and Frer with a perfect Apprentice physique. I doubt that they're the only ones with a perfect physique too! If the system is truly giving out easier [Mythic] missions to new races, my chances for attaining a perfect foundation are definitely not zero!'
After he was bombarded with so much information at once, Shane's brain was smoking and he couldn't help but feel exhausted, even if he had slept for around 30 hours.
Nevertheless, this exhaustion was negligible to the information he had to digest right now.
One could visualize how Shane's mind was rattling and that it was overclocked to work even harder.
Kalur was only smiling knowingly, thinking that Shane would be unable to ask anymore questions when to his surprise, he heard Shane ask,
"If there were to be an extremely talented youth hailing from a new basic race with an extremely high chance to attain a perfect foundation, what would happen if a hostile intermediate race were to get to know about that? They wouldn't be at war with each other but the basic race might be in an alliance with an intermediate race that is at war with the other, hostile intermediate race…."
