Chapter 2105: King of Mong
"What do you mean that all of our troops were killed?" The King of Nalg complained during the teleportal conference they had with the other liaising royalties. "You specially guaranteed that we will win the fight given our overwhelming numbers! And now not only all soldiers had disappeared, you do not even have an inkling what had happened in the fight?"
"There was a magical cloaking veil that covered the entire battlefield. And the fact that not a single human returning from the battlefield showed that they are definitely dabbling in forbidden arts." King of Pal tried to assure Nalg's representative.
"Well, our dear King of Mong said that everything would be fine and dandy as long as we send the necessary manpower over. But what do we have here? Every single person missing and no information is back at all!" Nalg's King complained.
At that point, the King of Mong had also kept quiet because compared to the others, he had suffered the highest loss. All those two thousand strong soldiers had been genetically modified with Celestial blood flowing in them. This allowed them to have the strength of a Celestial despite remaining in their human form.
However, all of those came at a price. A lot of slaves had been utilised to ensure the transference of celestial energy was done right. And the Celestial Pedestal that the Mong Empire had been granted only possessed limited uses a day. There was only so much it could bestow the power to those slaves and later train them to be soldiers.
The pure crystals needed to do so were also a huge expense for the Mong Empire but they believed that if the Empire have such an army at the King's beckon, it would have been the most powerful army in the region. Never did they expect a kingdom like Ress was able to defeat every single one of them.
And if that was not sufficient, the Celestials even bestowed three Ishims as part of their training to this world, Atopia. Those three had been defeated so thoroughly that there were no traces of them after the battle was over.
The King of Mong was distraught learning that he had wasted so much of his resources for nothing and they could not even get the truth that was behind the death or disappearance of his modified army.
Yet the ones who were crying as if they were bleeding a lot from this battle were those allied nations of his. He could not believe that they were whining so much when he believed that his army was able to wipe their kingdoms twice over if he made a move by himself.
"I will get my trusted royal retainers to have a look at this situation. They had been the elites of elites." The King of Mong sighed as he knew that everyone was dissatisfied with the situation.
"I am not saying that this is entirely your fault but it seems like there are serial kidnappings happening across the various kingdoms. Upon a more thorough investigation, it seemed as if those were the families of those soldiers who we had sent out.
We also believed that this is the work of Ress and that also means Ress agents are out in the open contrary to the information that wretched kingdom was fully isolated."
One of the Kings said and the King of Mong sighed.
"Are you telling me that you want me to catch one of the Ress' agents and get them to rat out the way in?"
"We assumed that you are the best in this since your personal royal elites had proven themselves to be the strongest in Atopia. There are no other soldiers or combatants who had been able to win against them when they dueled in the annual knights of rounds meet." Nalg's representative said and the rest continued to nod their head as they were unwilling to do anything about the current situation.
"Are these the elites? An unknown voice came about as decapitated heads suddenly flew into the centre of the teleportal conferences and everyone could recognise the Royal Elites of Mong. "They don't feel that elite to me." The footsteps got louder and the King of Mong felt that he was unable to move nor speak a single word out.
The aura this particular person was eluding was extremely heavy and filled with intense bloodlust. It was only a few steps later that he saw a male figure wearing a long unfamiliar coat with a bloodied fox mask.
"I was thinking what fun I had been missing when I asked one of my Star Foxes to fill me in. But to see Ishims running amok in this particular Empire. I can't help but feel excited to hunt each and every one of them.
Yes, I am talking about the two that are hiding behind your throne waiting for your instructions, o King of Mong." The masked Fox said and the King used whatever strength he could to point at the masked intruder.
The two Ishims who had been waiting for the orders finally came out and rushed towards the Masked Fox. Unfortunately, even before they could even unleash a single speck of celestial energy out, they felt their hearts stopped beating as they looked at their chest with whatever remaining lifeforce that was running through them.
The hearts were right in front of them beating. Beating ever so deeply just so it could perform its one and only job. However, with it being brought out of the circulatory systems of the Ishims, it pumped out the last of their blood out of its ventricles before they finally stop working.
"Heh. They must be really weak or I had grown stronger." The Masked Fox said as he saw all the horror faces of the kings and queens that were attending the Teleportal conference. "Why? What's with all the scared faces? I am merely destroying the actual threats that are plaguing the world you are living in."
He snapped his fingers and the faces of those Ishims turned into something more hideous with a faint halo at the top of their heads as well broken wings. "Be grateful that I wiped this threat for all of you royal fucks. Oh and that should include you as well."
The Masked Fox unveiled his mouth a little so that everyone could see his sinister smile for a moment before the King of Mong behind him had been shred into pieces with Force Magic.
"Now I am the King of Mong. You all can call me K for King."
