NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 209: Sparring Equally With The Undead NPC

Chapter 209: Sparring Equally With The Undead NPC

The next moment he hit the pillar with his sword to hear a muffled bang and the next instant a damage exceeding thirty thousand points appeared on top of the pillar.

"Strange," he muttered before linking with a slice and a couple of stabs. "The damage is valid but there is no Hp bar apparent is it not the real form of the necromancer?"

He didn't stop his hand from hitting the pillar while thinking about this dilemma. The other clone of the necromancer was killed and now all the players moved their attention to here.

"Is it him?" Nara shouted while Jeffrey led the close ranged players towards the pillar.

"I think so," Bloom said before he hit the pillar with another dash.

"There is no Hp bar on top of it," Jeffrey shouted even before coming this close. "It might be an outer shell," Bloom answered while hitting the pillar again, "we need to hurry and crack it open."

"Agreed," Nara and Jeffrey said in unison before the players reached the pillar and kept hitting it. Bloom was trying to find a weakness here and after dozens of more hits he finally found a crack in the pillar.

Deep within he noticed a glimpse of the real skeleton of the necromancer. "Is it dead or sleeping or what?" Bloom muttered before focusing his hit over the crack to widen it.

"Rumble!"

The moment the crack went wider he heard a muffle tick before a small explosion happened. The pillar broke up again into five parts and they flew away, hitting some players and agents of his in the way.

"Kekeke, finally I've restored my power," the next moment Bloom saw the bony skull of the necromancer laughing in this strange way before the necromancer stepped out of the area the pillar was protecting.

"Come forth my followers, let's bath these lands with death and bones once again."

He raised a staff, much longer and a bit thicker than the previous stick of it.

"Damn, he got leveled up," Bloom instantly recognized the strength and level of this necromancer, "and it's an NPC now."

He turned around as he ordered one thing "Run!"

All the team members and agents around were speechless for a moment before they started to run as he ordered.

'What happened? Who is the NPC?' Nara instantly sent in the team chat.

'This necromancer it's not a boss monster, it's an NPC with level at least above thirty.'

'Impossible,' Jeffrey sent, 'How come a boss monster turns into an NPC?'

'I dunno,' Nara sent, 'but if that was the case then we should all retreat. This dungeon sigh, we lost much time and many resources and literally didn't get anything back.'

Bloom watched them running while the necromancer laughed in his strange way watching them fleeing like hopeless flies. "Won't join them and run as well?" the necromancer asked as if he was amused by this game.

"Nah," Bloom shook his head before pointing his two swords towards him, "I'll accompany you here."

His voice wasn't that loud but it was heard perfectly by everyone. "Damn, what is he trying to do?" Jeffrey stopped running all of sudden to stand beside Nara who had a bad look over her face.

"This isn't good," Nara muttered, "that necromancer that NPC is a special one I'm pretty sure that dying here won't be like a normal death in the game."

"Does he know that?" one of the nearby players asked, attracting Nara and Jeffrey's attention to notice that everyone else stopped running.

"I believe he is staying back to defend our retreat," one of the light daughters muttered, "impressive I'm already in love with him!"

"Humph," Nara simply harrumphed before turning her gaze towards Bloom.

"Play with me? Are you delusional of what?`` The necromancer laughed in his weird manner before adding, "alright, let's see how you will die, with one hit or twice with my staff. See? This is just a normal hit from my staff, won't use any skill and you'll still die, kekeke."

Bloom didn't answer back while he moved to meet the fast movement of the staff with one sword. "One hand only? C'mon buddy, you aren't taking me this serio"

The words of the necromancer stopped midway while the green flames in his eye sockets flickered for a moment there. "Impossible how did you get such a skill?"

He was astonished to see his staff being stopped and Bloom didn't even budge a single step backward. "It's my unique skill mate," Bloom sneered as he waved the other sword with a simple stab.

The NPC was thrown in the air the next moment to hit the wall under the shocked watchful gazes of everyone else.

"C'mon, don't tell me this is real!" one of the players muttered in disbelief.

"Is he playing another game different than us?"

Nara and Jeffrey bitterly laughed alongside everyone of the old team. "It's a blessing he is on our side," Nara simply stated, "or else I dunno how in the world I could stand against such a monster."

Everyone nodded in agreement while watching Bloom press onward on that NPC. The hit just now took roughly twenty thousand points off him, and now his long Hp bar appeared on top of his head.

"Shall we help?" one of the light daughters was excited as she asked.

"No," Nara instantly answered, "he asked us to leave and we should only watch from the side."

"But"

"This is a much higher NPC than our current level. I dunno what trick he is using to match him but it's only his. If he sees any value in our contribution then he wouldn't have asked us to leave," Jeffrey expressed his agreement with Nara's point of view.

"Let's retreat to the corridor. There we won't be easily touched by that NPC and also can move in time to help."

They all unwillingly moved to crowd at the entrance while watching Bloom sparring with the NPC like the tables were shifted.

"Keep playing, the moment your skill time is gone you will be under my mercy."

"Keep dreaming old man," Bloom hit the NPC again before he followed the flying body of his with a dash. "I won't give you a moment to breath."

The necromancer was stunned and couldn't move a finger now. Bloom suddenly shouted:

"Use far ranged skills every time he is stunned."

He wanted to try something. If the NPC was under a skill of his for a duration of time like this one, would other players be able to cause damage to him then?

"You heard the man himself," Jeffrey laughed, "all with long range skills move to the frontline, let's start rampaging this NPC."

The next instant the theory of Bloom was proven right. The NPC was paused at level sixteen and then his team could easily inflict damage to him.

"Thousands of damage is still considered a thing if it came from those thirty or forty players," he took a fast glance at the back to see around that number of players using their staffs to hit the NPC.

"It's a shame I can't use my doppelganger skill yet," he checked his skill and found it still needed over six minutes to be used once more. "I'll have to work with what I have then."

The necromancer was enraged when he was freed from his stun. Bloom didn't hurry to return him again as he wanted to see if other players were able to hurt him now or not.

"So when I hit him with my sword they will get a small window to harm him. Other than this it's not effective," he noticed this and thus he had to sigh, "it's either I keep hitting him all the time and that's not practical or depend over the stun and that would leave me with periods without using them."

He decided to keep two stun skills in reserve while depending only on his dashes.

"Rise up my army and crush those ants for me!"

The necromancer suddenly grew restless and angrier when his Hp went below seventy percent. The next instant Bloom and others felt the ground shaking massively while a forest of bones appeared all of sudden to block their vision.

"All of these" Bloom was surprised to see all this number of skeletons appearing and more were still pushing hard to come up again.

"Kill all and leave him to me," he shouted while taking out some of his advanced tokens to summon around a thousand fallen agents. "Defend here and keep killing those skeletons," he said before using another dash to stop the necromancer in track and corner him again.

"Where do you think you're going? Huh?" he was much angrier now at him and he didn't keep his hands anymore. Even waving the sword without any skill was used to make sure that the necromancer wouldn't touch the ground ever again with his feet.

"Kill him my boys, kill him first," the necromancer suddenly shouted while Bloom noticed that every single skeleton around was now moving towards him.

"Damn! You are really ruthless!"
