NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 187: Triggering Another Quest

Chapter 187: Triggering Another Quest

Bloom didn't get an answer, which made him realize he had to work on this part himself. "Wait you don't mean no way, absolutely no way," he shook his head before trying to go in the main road.

"System alert: Player has to make a decision, will you postpone the sabotage the quest quest or not?"

Bloom smirked. "Why am I so nervous? As you can see, I'm still heading towards the direction of the caravan."

"System alert: is this a yes or no?"

"A yes, indeed a big yes."

"System alert: doing so will hurt so many players, change many events in the game. Are you sure of that?"

Bloom had some doubt, as the system of the game was strangely addressing him, like someone speaking directly to him.

"Sure, I'll do that," despite the hidden pressure from the game words, he was still fixed upon his decision.

"System alert: Player has decided to proceed in his quest."

Just as Bloom thought the weird alerts were gone, more suddenly jumped in front of his face.

"System alert: player has triggered a special game quest: the alternate line game quest."

"System alert: triggering the quest grants the player a title; the game shaker."

"System alert: player needs to succeed in his quest first before reading the details of the special game alternate line quest."

Bloom felt much weirder at this moment. "What the hell is wrong with this game?" he shouted out loud before adding, "I never heard of a game that has a place of evil deeds in it!"

"System alert: this is the nature of the game."

"I know, no need to state the obvious!"

Bloom started to ignore what just happened and tried to forget the weird conversation he just had with the game system.

"I need to change," he muttered before opening the list of his gears, and then he selected the lizard tattoo.

"Lizard tattoo: Special type gear, made by master Overt by mistake. Grade white. Rank eleven. No level required. No faction required. "So all I need to do is just use the skill?" he muttered to himself before saying:

"Disguise."

"System alert: Player has used the disguise skill. Does the player want to use the saved Sunny ID or create another one from scratch?"

Bloom was surprised by this. "Wow, I can use more than one form amazing."

He suddenly thought of the fourth girl of the Cyan studio and laughed. "I can now create a third ID if I want, hehehe."

"System alert: Does player want to use the saved Sunny ID or create another one from scratch?"

The system seemed quite impatient towards his thoughts. "I choose Sunny," he said, and the next moment he ended up in a totally different shape, as a totally different player.

"Welcome back Sunny," Bloom laughed as he enjoyed playing double roles. "now I should go after that jerk and teach him and others a lesson."

Bloom then started to run fast, while taking one bottle of Stm potion when he felt his stamina was running low. After running for half an hour, he reached a road bifurcation. "I should have its location in the map," he hurriedly opened the map, yet what he found was merchant caravan locations, and nothing else.

"Weird," he muttered before opening his system alerts again and checked them. "Didn't you say I got the help in pinpointing Panty's location? Why can't I see his location now?"

"System alert: that was regarding normal quests, not a major quest like the one you are currently doing."

"Your meaning?"

"System alert: no help will be given to you in regard to this quest."

The cold answer of the system was sudden and startled him. "What a f*cking game is this? I never heard of a player having privilege and being stripped away from him later on a whim!"

Despite his rants, no answer came from the system of the game at all.

"But I don't mind that, I can solve this problem easily and quickly," he smirked as he opened the friend list from Bloom character and selected Muna.

"System alert: Do you want to contact Muna by Bloom ID or Sunny ID?"

"Bloom," he said, despite being tempted to contact her by the Sunny ID and have some fun.

'Where are you now?' he sent to her while thinking about the last tip the game system kindly gave to him; the secret helper.

"If I want to do that then I need this disguise of me not to be discovered by that NPC," he thought before adding, "and if it was discovered, then I need to make my entrance timing precisely advantageous to me."

He started to mix things up in his mind while he didn't know why the system said before this was such a lost quest if he continued to work alone.

He wasn't rejecting the idea of having one or even more helpers, he just couldn't understand why this particular NPC.

"Sigh, I have to wait and gather more intel then," he reminded himself not to be rash, as he waited for the answer of Muna.

'We are here,' she shared a location on the map before adding, 'We have divided into two separate teams.'

'What?' Bloom was surprised before adding, 'Tell me what happened since you exited the village.'

She started narrating everything as he requested. "Nasty game system that's why you said it was impossible for me to do that quest?"

According to the words of Muna, once they came out of the village they met three big caravans guarded with an army of NPCs. Their numbers were in hundreds and just as they reached the same road bifurcation he was at, they got separated into two directions.

Muna was now moving with the second and third caravan, while the first caravan had Panty moving on guard.

And the worst wasn't over. According to Muna, she heard gossip about another bifurcation in the distant road. "So you want to play hide and seek with me? Huh?" Bloom was enraged at this moment.

According to Muna, each caravan had two thousands of players and five hundred NPCs at least guarding it.

If they were grouped together then Bloom wouldn't mind that, but now they were moving far away from each other. He hurriedly opened the map and started to follow the two roads ahead of him. "It's true, there is a bifurcation ahead of her," he muttered while following the entire road map, seeking for any hope.

"This is such a nice move, Panty," Bloom sighed, "but I still have a card to use. System sama is right, I have to force myself into dealing with yesterday enemies."

"Show me the location of the shrine of death elder," Bloom suddenly said.

"System alert: player has no right to talk to the system in such a way and demand things over his paycheck!"

Bloom went speechless for a moment before muttering, "What the hell is wrong with this system? Do you have a period or something?"

""

"Yeah, it's the hormones, I knew it," Bloom helplessly smiled and the system of the game didn't answer him.

"I want the location of the death shrine elder."

"System alert: player was previously notified by his ineligibility to have any more support from the game regarding this quest. Stop nagging the system and start using your dull thing inside your head!"

""

It was his time to be speechless, and after a few moments he sighed. "Yup, it's definitely the hormones."

""

Bloom stopped joking as he started to think deeper. "I have to find the death shrine elder fast, how can I do that?" he thought before he found a theory he could test. "If I go near an elder's place, the system will notify me of this, right?"

He glanced over the map and shook his head, "I have nothing else to do but this," he then closed the map and went directly towards the direction of Panty. "I know you are bluffing, but eventually you'll have to go to the place of the shrine of life quest item to protect."

Bloom knew he might head to a trap, but he had to be close by the caravan to determine if the elder of the death shrine was there or not.

"Muna isn't too much away from me, meaning the other group isn't. I have to check this one then return if I found nothing," he muttered before focusing on moving as silent as possible towards the front.
