Chapter 182: The Appearance of Scrolls
Chapter 182: The Appearance of Scrolls
Once he cleared the hall from all the players and agents there, he turned everything against those annoying ones in the corridor. "Go kill them all," he simply gave the order and his agents just jumped at their enemies' throats the next moment.
"It seems I don't need all the agents I bought," he sighed when he reached the eighth hall and used a couple of dash to reach the center to activate the mechanism there.
The next thing happened was an exact replica of what happened in the ninth hall, except there were a few agents and dark players here and they were all cleared in no time along with other players.
"They only brought this few?" he was surprised as he recalled Nara warning him of the dark players' numbers. 'Do you know how much dark players they brought?' he sent privately to her and she instantly responded.
'You are amazing! How can you kill all of them in such ease?'
He read her message and didn't know what to say. The fight didn't take longer than five minutes and she already knew the details about it. "Scary," he muttered before replying to her:
'No time to waste, I have players to kill.'
'Damn your cold heart, you think they are cattle or sheep raised in your farm?'
'Consider them like that,' he sent while sneering, 'just tell me about those dark players.'
'They ran away,' she simply sent before adding, 'those you released first alerted the others and so they ran away.'
'Wow, no honor at all!!'
'They are dark players, players with no honor.'
Bloom just nodded in agreement before asking, 'Any more reinforcements?'
'Till now no.'
'They won't respond to my provocation?' he was surprised by this, as he thought they would start a massive wave of attacks to crush him with numbers.
'There is a debate right now.'
'About what?'
'Using a grade one scroll to kill you or not.'
He was speechless there for a moment before laughing. 'No problem, let them try,' he issued the order for his agents to move to the next hall as he shouted: "Go inside and kill anyone you meet. Activate the rocks the way I did before."
'Ain't you afraid?' she asked.
'Don't worry, I'm not that easy to reach or kill.'
His answer didn't give her any satisfaction at all, yet she dropped the idea of asking more about this. She knew how mysterious he would be if things were related to his own ways of fight.
As for him, he knew the scrolls would be deadly if he got caught. Yet he wasn't that worried in the least. "Let them try to bypass my agents," he laughed before finally taking out more tokens and started to summon more agents.
He didn't hurry to send them forward, as he was sure his agents at the front were sufficient. Instead he went back, heading back towards the ninth hall where he waited there patiently for any intruders.
'They've decided,' after nearly ten minutes Nara sent this message to him.
'The scroll?' he asked.
'It seems you didn't need my info then.'
'Nah, your info is precious to me like you,' he teased her before adding, 'when are they going to attack?'
'Now.'
Bloom closed the chat and kept waiting calmly for his enemies to come. After a couple of minutes he heard a muffled noise before Nara hurriedly sent it to him. 'Are you alright? They used it.'
'I'm fine,' he sneered, 'they just hit one of my clones I sent.'
He had already summoned his clones, leaving one in each hall and he was now surrounded by ten of them.
'They have more scrolls, don't drop your guard,' she sent after a couple of minutes and just before he could respond, another bang appeared.
This time it was closer than the first one. "They have many indeed," Bloom nodded before laughing, "but I've already activated all the mechanisms in the halls here. They have to fight their way with huge losses."
He turned around as he shouted, "go and attack those coming here, don't let a single person step forward any further."
The hundreds around him moved while those in the corridor relayed the orders to those in the next hall and so on. He took another batch of tokens and kept summoning more agents while the frequency of the noises coming from far front kept getting shorter.
"They seemed cornered," he laughed while summoning the last batch of agents he had before sending everything to the front. "Having scrolls at this early stage of the game is impressive, yet you need to first reach me to make all this count."
This was his plan, kiting them down from a hall to another, while using his agent wave tactic to keep them trapped inside the halls as much time as he could.
Like this many would die, and those who would be alive would have low Hp and consume much potions till the point they wouldn't be able to sustain his attacks.
As he waited much longer, the sounds of noises kept decreasing in frequency that he thought they wouldn't have anymore scrolls.
'They have changed their tactic,' Nara sent all of sudden, 'they will exhaust your agents first before using the remaining scrolls.'
'How many are left?' he asked.
'Two.'
'Good,' he smiled before adding, 'Do you know what type of scrolls they have?'
'One creates a thorn attack in a wide area while the other brings fire.'
'Thanks.'
'Be careful, they are dead fixed on making us lose the dungeon run.'
'How are things looking at your end?' he asked, as if they could end the dungeon run early then this would be their win in the end.
'Ahem we might need your help here,' she suddenly said.
'Is it that bad?'
'Almost a wipe out.'
He was surprised. 'Even with the agents I sent with you?'
'We didn't last more than three minutes.'
''
'I know. So, we are now recovering and waiting for the revival skills to be activated.'
He understood her meaning, so he sent back, 'Don't come, you'll just make it worse if you do.'
''
'I know, but this is the truth.'
'Can't you be more gentler?'
'Telling weak players they are weak in a gentle way? Hmm dunno if I can do that.'
'Cold hearted lion.'
'At least I'm a lion.'
''
He laughed before closing the chat and thought about this tactic of his enemies. "They are thinking of depleting my own agents, right?" he evilly smirked before opening his inventory casually and taking out one token belonging to one dead agent.
"System alert: the dark agent linked to this token is dead already. You can't summon a new one before spending one hundred gold coins on that."
"One hundred good," he laughed while checking his own gold. "Pretty much enough to summon two hundred," he thought before taking out two hundred tokens and thought of something.
He threw one away, and then he said:
"I want to revive the agent over there."
"System alert: Player has to pay one hundred gold coins to do that."
"Agreed."
"System alert: one hundred gold coins are deducted successfully. The dark agent is now revived."
The next moment an agent appeared in front of his eyes, making his eyes be rounded and shone brightly of excitement.
"Amazing," he muttered before laughing, "this is much more amazing than I thought. So I can now have these agents summoned as long as the tokens belonged to me."
He waved to the agent to come while he resurrected nine more. "Each will have these tokens. Go to the halls we still control and scatter these there," he evilly said before adding, "make sure no one will notice you while doing that."
The agents all nodded before each took around twenty tokens and went to the next hall. "I need to prepare here then," he took out a hundred more and started scattering the tokens on the ground.
"This will get me broke, but I can get many gold coins each time I destroy a gear," he muttered when he felt some pain while his mind calculated the amount of gold coins lost in this single fight. "But it's worth crushing those arrogant bastards and letting the entire world fear my name."
Despite taking the tokens, he didn't resurrect them using gold coins. Instead, he started to buy dark agent tokens again, while summoning anything he bought right away.
The sound of fighting kept getting closer and closer until after fifteen minutes a bunch of players stood in the corridor with racing breaths and tired faces.
"He is there," one of them said to others behind, "shall we hit him now?"
Bloom knew they had very low Hp and if they stepped in and met the army of his agents, then they would be instantly killed.
"No, we need to surround him first," an angry voice came from behind, before ordering, "Go and kill all those around this bastard and block his path to retreat."
Strangely this wasn't a male voice, but a female one. Bloom raised an eyebrow while watching the players inside the corridor take out some potions and gulped them before heading inside the hall.
"Looking for death then? I'll gladly comply with your wishes," Bloom sneered before snapping his fingers, and the next moment his agents moved to attack the hostiles.
"Damn you! You killed my brother and now are stealing his signature move. Screw you!" this sudden snapping finger move of Bloom got on the nerve of that angry girl.
"Brother?" he muttered before laughing out loud.
