Chapter 180: It's A Date Then
Chapter 180: It's A Date Then
As he had more tokens, Bloom kept summoning the dark agents around him until he had slightly over two hundred when he reached the eighth hall. There things weren't over yet, and so he casually pointed towards the monsters as he ordered:
"Go and kick their asses!"
The next moment his new army joined the fight. For others this seemed a scene to behold, yet for him he just watched with no interest at all.
He knew this wasn't even the top of his might, and more scary things still in his pocket, still early to use.
"You should have used them early on," Nara came to him as the monsters were killed in a short time.
"No time for that," he said before motioning to others, "make them all move to the next hall. The boss monster at the tenth hall will be hard to deal with."
"Any clue about that?" she glanced weirdly at him like she was glancing at a little prophet.
"No," he shook his head before adding, "but if the monsters were like that, then the boss will be harder to deal with."
"I see," she suspiciously glanced at him before adding, "Boys, let's roll out to the next hall. No time to rest, no time to waste," she shouted at the others, while everyone didn't complain.
They had the support of such a high number of agents, fierce fighters who could be used as cannon fodders while they leisurely fought from behind.
As they hit the next hall, they managed to completely crush the monsters there in a record time of five minutes only. Bloom wasn't that relieved, so he kept buying secretly more agents during the fight, doing nothing else at all.
"Is there any news from outside?" Bloom stopped everyone from heading to the last hall, as he asked Jeffrey about this.
"Last thing I got was your berserk clones and cloaked men to hit everyone, even my spies," Jeffrey complained.
"That's better," Nara said before adding, "this way no one will suspect them."
"Agreed," Jeffrey couldn't refute her logic. "Will we hit the last hall now or what?" Jeffrey asked.
"Just ask for more intel first," Bloom didn't hurry to move, as it would be fatal to have intruders when dealing with the boss monster.
"Tsk, gimme five then," he turned around while Nara chuckled, "he is just angry as one of his best agents lost a level at the hands of your people," she said before turning to glance at those a hundred and seventy dark agents remaining after the fight, "Tell me again from where you got them?" she asked.
"I didn't tell first to say again," Bloom smirked before shifting the topic, "may I invite you for dinner?"
"What?" she turned to glance at him in rounded eyes before adding, "you got some balls to ask me that."
"Didn't know you weren't into men, sorry."
"Damn you," she laughed before adding, "we can't meet in the real world."
"Who said anything about meeting in the real world?" he laughed before adding, "I don't want your two lovers to come and kill me for real."
She laughed while her eyes carried much doubt towards him. "What do you have in mind then?" she asked with a playful tone.
"Nothing," he shrugged before adding, "I have this special quest, then after that I'll be totally free. Let's hit a good restaurant in the city."
"Wow, the city?" she exclaimed loudly, attracting more attention to them, "the city is way too costly even for me to go."
"Don't worry yourself about the cost," he sneered, "it's me inviting you out, and it's me who will handle all the costs."
"A man with much ego and wealth isn't a good man for a little girl like me," she winked.
"But you aren't a little girl, ain't you?" he winked back, making her glare at him for a moment before chuckling. "Alright, but the dress and ornaments will be on your account."
"Wow, didn't think taking you out would be this pricey," he laughed.
"I'm not anyone, y'know. Taking me out requires some protocols to follow," she played with him and he just smiled and nodded.
"Agreed, as long as it's a date, I'm obliged to make it the best date ever."
"Wait a minute," she hurried to stop him with a laugh, "who mentioned anything about it being a date?"
"Me, logic, and anyone with some sanity passing by here will approve of my words," he grinned and she just shook her head, in such a slow move that made his heart palpitate.
"You are bold," she said.
"To take a tigress like you, one must be a lion," he winked and she paused there for a moment before putting her palm over her opened mouth, trying to control her laughs.
"C'mon, Mr. lion, we have a monster to kill," she shook her head, not commenting anymore about his date.
As for him, he watched her move away while picturing himself with her, in one room, on one bed, while making the first real move towards getting her to be his.
"Dockrey? Hehehe, I'll leave you far behind in dust slow boy," he inwardly laughed at his rival as he would end up with the girl, eventually.
"Tell me some good news," when he moved after her towards Jeffrey, he heard her saying those words before motioning with her head towards him. "Our big lion here is restless to end this dungeon fast."
Jeffrey seemed to miss the point, while moving his glances between her and Bloom. "What happened?" he asked.
"Nothing," she shrugged while Bloom said, "any news yet?"
"They're regrouping again and coming here in the same grand numbers," he said with questioning eyes towards Nara.
"How long?" Bloom asked.
"Around half an hour mostly," Jeffrey replied, "can we make it before they appear?"
Bloom didn't hurry to answer, while Nara asked:
"What about the trick he used? Have they got any ideas?"
"They sent for a group who had the same trick as you," Jeffrey said before adding in a suspicious tone, "they call them dark envoys."
Nara glanced at Bloom who just shrugged as he said, "I dunno what that even means."
"C'mon," Nara was the one to speak, "you know all this stuff about the secrets of the game and don't know anything as famous as this one?"
Despite her direct suspicion and accusation in her words and gazes, Bloom stuck to his initial stance, shrugging and saying nothing with his puzzled look.
"They are dark players," Jeffrey said before adding, "are you a dark player as well?"
Bloom shook his head while saying, "my skill is different, besides" he paused as if he was recalling something, "can't dark players enter villages, townsetc? I can perfectly enter the village without any problem."
"They can," Nara amusingly said, "using some gears to do so. A cape or something special to conceal their presence and aura," she added.
"Yet I have nothing like that, right?" Bloom smiled while pointing to himself, "I don't even own a cape."
"Tsk," she shook her head while adding, "you're full of mysterious, Mr. lion."
He didn't speak while Jeffrey was more curious about this strange nickname and the way Nara spelled it.
"Will we hit the last monster or what?" Jeffrey asked.
"We will," Bloom nodded before adding, "but we have to arrange something first."
Others glanced at him before he went to the center of the hall all of sudden examining it. he knew each hall in any high ranked dungeon had some hidden mechanism there, and activating this would cause massive damage to anyone inside the hall.
He didn't seek this mechanism against the monsters as he didn't need it. but now, he had to make sure the boss fight would be swift while he had another unexpected card to welcome his incoming guests with.
"Got you," he finally found the mechanism here. "So it's that simple, huh," he muttered while watching the small rocks in the center of the hall where he just had to move them from their chaotically arranged places and put them inside the shallow holes in the ground.
Just as he did it, the roof suddenly shook and sharp needles rained on the entire room, attacking everything yet his team was intact.
"Great," he laughed while everyone was surprised by that. He waited for a minute, yet the rain never stopped or slowed down. He kicked one rock to make the mechanism stop before adding, "you go and inspect the boss monster while I'll come later," he said to Nara before turning to his agents, "go inside and hit the monster hard, don't spare anything."
The next moment they all nodded and then went towards the corridor without saying a single word. "Wow, they are really obedient. I want some of them, please, "Nara jumped to ask in front of him like a little girl, yet he shook his head and turned to leave.
"Stop fooling around," he turned to her before winking, "we'll have enough time later to play as much as we want."
"Stingy lion," she groaned while Jeffrey came to stand beside her, watching him move as he asked, "what all this is about?"
"Nothing," she shrugged with a big smile before turning to lead others towards the boss monster.
"I swear it's something big," Jeffrey shook his head before glancing at the direction Bloom vanished into, "I warned you before, mate, yet you seem to be thick headed, sigh."
Jeffrey then moved behind the others while Bloom was doing his thing at the other halls.
