Chapter 159: A Desperate Fight Against the Grator

Chapter 159: A Desperate Fight Against the Grator

"System alert: Player has reached the final door of the fallen mines. Behind lies many riches and huge opportunities. Player has proven himself worthy to reach this stage, and he has to endure for one minute until the gate opens."

"Damn you!!!" he raised his head to the sky as he cursed the developers. "Why are you so dead fixated on getting me killed and losing this quest?" he was feeling injustice and enraged, while watching an endless stream of monsters heading towards him, with that gigantic Grator running wild among them.

"I'm doomed," he laughed before throwing the empty Hp bottle on the ground and taking out the fire scroll. "Screw you all, if I'm going to fall and lose then I won't do it without a fight. Activate the goddamn scroll!"

He didn't put any hope on this scroll as the next moment he put it away before taking his two swords out and was about to move to fight this helpless one.

"System alert: Player has used the purgatory fire scroll. All hostile enemies in one mile around the player will be affected. Fifty thousand dark points are deducted from the player account."

"What?!!" he was shocked yet the next moment when he saw the fire waves coming out from him, he knew this was true and not a mind trick out of his desperation. "Hahaha, now I have a chance," he laughed while watching the fire moving in a mile radius and killing everything there.

And that Grator was sent to fly in the air, falling hundreds of meters away from him with each wave hitting it.

"Hahaha, c'mon, weren't you just acting strong and might?" Bloom just lost his mind out of his desperation. He knew the scroll could buy him almost fifteen seconds, but no more.

He needed one minute, and he knew even with it, he would be that invincible.

"System alert: player has risen a level."

Just amidst his despair as he watched the fire dying out, he received this silly notification that made him laugh. "What's the benefit, damn developers? I'm going to die anyway and lose this quest!" he was frustrated, he never felt like this except back in his crumbled game.

He watched the emptiness around before muttering, "should I run around?" he was thinking of his options. That gigantic monster had less than twenty percent of its Hp when it roared in anger. It was even feeling more frustration and humiliation from fighting Bloom.

"Nah, I won't make it," when Bloom saw the fast speed of that Grator, he instantly dropped the idea of hide and seek game. "it moves goddamn fast!" he complained while gritting his teeth, "nothing left but a head on fight."

Just as he was prepared to move using his dash, system notification came in that changed everything!

"System alert: player has stored enough death drops to activate his sword death drop convert skill. Player can use the skill before any attack he desires and the effect will be added instantly."

"System alert: player has stored enough death drops to activate his sword death drop convert skill. Player can use the skill before any attack he desires and the effect will be added instantly."

The two alerts startled him and made him even pause. "Show the death drop convert skill info," he muttered, as he had no good recollection about it.

Death drop convert skill: Passive skill. the sword will store tiny portions of any killed souls under it, be it players, monsters, creatures, beings, or NPCs. Each one thousand absorbed fractions would gather to form one death drop. Death drops can't be used except by the sword to cause a single explosive attack with one thousand percent increase in damage caused by any player skills for each drop. Death drops can be stored forever."

"Wow! What the f*ck is that?!!!" he totally missed this skill amidst his large tree of skills, yet when he read its description again he felt adrenaline pumped in his veins and his hope was revived by it.

"I should plan it wise, after all I have only two shots here," he muttered before laughing, "I know what I should do with that monster."

His gaze changed from being desolate to such a defying burning glare. "Are you calling yourself the guardian of these mines? Pathetic! A worthless worm would do much better than you did!"

Bloom didn't wait for the Grator to reach him before he shouted and purposely insulted him. The Grator roared in anger while screaming:

"Just wait, I swear I will kill you in one hit, just one hit. Don't be a coward and run away you damn rat!"

"C'mon, I'm all over here waiting for that mighty Grator to fulfill its promises, hehehehe," Bloom replied to instigate more wrath inside the Grator. "Come closer you damned monster, come and try me out!" he muttered to himself before the Grator was almost tens of meters in front of him before it stopped running on four and suddenly got itself straightened.

"Die you fool!" it screamed and at this moment, Bloom started to act.

"Darkness absorption skill!" he just activated one skill before pointing his hand towards the Grator and added, "pause!"

The Grator was about to hit him with two of its legs, landing them heavily upon his head while the air whistled just from the might of this strike. Yet it instantly paused and Bloom did the weirdest thing ever!

He stretched his hands and touched the legs.

"System alert: Player has absorbed the tornado leg skill successfully. Skill will be stored for one day for the player to use. The number of remaining uses of the darkness absorption skill is one."

"Yes," Bloom didn't mind the horrifying twenty thousand damage he just received which appeared on top of his head. He knew he was this close from leveling up and refreshing his own Hp again.

"C'mon," he didn't hesitate to point his sword towards the Grator as he muttered: "Dash!"
