Chapter 157: The Gigantic Stone Wall
Chapter 157: The Gigantic Stone Wall
"Damn!" he cursed just as he landed at the edge of the forest. He turned to glance at the high damage of the shockwave alone. "What is the damage of the direct hit then?" he muttered and he didn't need to guess. "I'll be doomed if I got hit!" he knew he couldn't match that monster's brutality head on.
"Time to shift strategies," he turned to glance at the angry monster which was running on two feet. "Still holding back? Tsk," Bloom didn't mind this as he turned to the forest, took out the bow and released arrows without pause.
All the monsters in front of him turned instantly to his pets. Yet he wasn't that much excited about such an outcome. He knew if these pets met that tyrant, they would instantly be killed!
"Let me use you then for my best interest," he smirked as he put away the bow and took out his two swords before muttering, "Dash!"
He moved instantly to enter the forest where monsters filled it to the brim. He just aimed at the furthest monster he could reach and just as he hit it, the monster was stunned for around three seconds only.
"That level difference damn!" he cursed when he realized he was facing monsters in their true levels, not affected by the skill of that coward NPC.
Bloom didn't stop there as the next moment he targeted his sword towards another distant monster and muttered: "Dash!"
He moved again and he just landed when he noticed the surrounding monsters were about to clash up with him.
"Roar!"
And just behind them, that Grator giant was racing to reach him.
"Activate the purgatory scroll," he sheathed one sword in a hurry as he took out his scroll. He had to act fast before he would be crushed by all these angry monsters!
"System alert: Player has used the purgatory fire scroll. All hostile enemies in one mile around the player will be affected. Fifty thousand dark points are deducted from the player account."
It was his second time using the scroll, yet the effect it had didn't cease to amaze him. "Incredible!" he just muttered when he saw the huge damage everything around him received.
Even the trees were lit up in fire as well!
He stood motionless for a couple of seconds before hurrying to run to the depth of the forest. "Run after me, don't lose my sight," he shouted to his clones who just lost one in the short exchange that happened just now.
As for his pets, they simply moved to the front without the need for him to say anything.
Ten seconds passed before he heard the furious roars of that monster again. The area of miles around him was literally void of any monster, yet once the fire ceased, other monsters started to come from the depth of the forest.
"Tsk, I have to wait for ten more seconds," he turned to glance at the Grator to see it was sent flying to the safe zone. "Great," he said before turning to welcome the incoming enemies.
"Dash!" Just as the two sides went closer to each other, his pets were the first to clash, then he used his dash to move himself deeper in their lines. For him, he just hoped his time would allow him to run all the way to the end of this layer.
But he knew he had to use the scroll so many times to make it that far.
"I just hope more quests to finish in time before I run out of dark points," he said as he noticed that Grator had some of its HP regenerated, compensating part of the damage it received so far.
Just as he hit the monster and stunned it for three seconds, he used another dash to move himself further. This time he wasn't pressured so close by the Grator, so he just bid his time linking a third skill.
"Dash piercer!"
He jumped three meters in the air before landing on the head of a monster lying a dozen meters away. The damage the monster received was negligent, only two thousand only, making him want to cry!
As he reached this far, and while the Grotar was just three hundred meters behind, he took out the scroll and activated it.
"System alert: Player has used the purgatory fire scroll. All hostile enemies in one mile around the player will be affected. Fifty thousand dark points are deducted from the player account."
Bloom didn't even pause a second there as he started running. His aim was to bypass all the monsters and run as far as possible from that maddened Grator.
"System alert: Player has used the purgatory fire scroll. All hostile enemies in one mile around the player will be affected. Fifty thousand dark points are deducted from the player account."

"System alert: Player has used the purgatory fire scroll. All hostile enemies in one mile around the player will be affected. Fifty thousand dark points are deducted from the player account."
He kept using his scroll for twenty times in a row. He didn't have time to even check his own points, yet at the end of his twentieth time, he finally spotted the end of that layer.
"Wow, that wall" he muttered when he spotted a gigantic stone wall showing up from this distance like a small line on the horizon. "The end is near," he laughed and this time he wasn't that much afraid anymore.
Despite losing all his clones for three times so far, and losing almost most of the pets he had, he now felt so close to reach his target.
Just he didn't calculate for something.
"Activate the purgatory fire scroll."
"System alert: the purgatory fire scroll needs fifty thousand dark points to be activated. Activation failed as the player is too poor to ask for riches beyond his reach."
"Damn!" he cursed as he was just in the middle of a sea of monsters. The Grator was already catching up from behind, only two hundred meters away.
In this spot he was targeted by fifty monsters at the same time! "I need to act fast," he didn't have time to even consider his options; he just let his instinct guide him and used the skill at the last moment.
"Darkness nihility skill!"
The moment he used it, he vanished instantly while all the monsters and even the Grator lost his aggro at the next moment.
"Roar! The Grotar roared in anger while it vented down its fury over the still living poor clones and pets.
As for Bloom, he wiped a cold sweat over his forehead before turning around and running with his tail in his teeth towards the distant wall.
"One minute, one minute, one minute," he kept muttering this to himself while he kept running with all his strength. He even used a couple of dashes to help him cross distance faster. "Damn! Why that wall is so damn away!!" he cursed as he passed half the duration of the skill and still had not reached the wall.
"Let's see my options then," he opened his skill list and started reading them fast. "Sigh, only the last skill can be used when things turn ugly," he closed the skill list before shaking off his head. "I just wanted it to be used at the end of the layer, at that distant wall."
There was only less than twenty seconds left in the duration of his skill. "Let's try this one then shadow steps!"
He rarely used this skill, and for him it wouldn't help much as all the monsters here could spot and attack him if he used it alone.
"This speed, hahaha," just as he used it, his speed soared and he didn't hesitate to move faster towards the wall.
As the seconds passed fast, the end of his skills drew near. He knew the moment it would end he would be doomed. "Damn! I still not want to use that one now!" he cursed.
