Chapter 140: The Wolf-Elephant Lord Monsters
Chapter 140: The Wolf-Elephant Lord Monsters
Bloom gave the orb to the NPC who held it like he was holding a rare gem and a life saving tool. He wasn't exaggerating, but Bloom thought he was overlooking the fact about the quest.
"We didn't complete the quest so far! Only one part is done!" he muttered while the NPC held the orb close to the seal as he squeezed it with his hand.
"We are this close from finishing it, plus that part was considered half of the quest; the most unreasonable difficult half!" the NPC said.
"Why do I feel you pissed someone off to be here?" Bloom tried to get more data about this lost part of his life.
"Well" the NPC paused as he kept squeezing the orb while pushing it against the seal, "I had some differences with people controlling things."
His words made Bloom be doubtful. Bloom was an NPC as well in his past life; he could spy on the developers and not speak directly to them!
In fact he thought developers didn't know about the sanity of their made NPCs. Yet, what this Bloom talked about held no other meaning other than he was able to talk to the developers.
"Click"
Just as this moment the seal was crushed open by the orb. The unbreakable veil was gone, and now the opening to the fallen mines appeared in front of Bloom.
"A portal?" he muttered before taking out a token and summoned one girl from it.
The sudden appearance of this beauty surprised the NPC, yet Bloom didn't summon her to amuse him. "From now on your name will be B, alright?"
"As master wishes," and the girl complied.
"Good, now my B, add me to your friendlist."
"Added."
Bloom received a system alert about her sending him a friend request like any normal player. "You will stay here and contact your bigger sister, Muna. I've sent her a message and she will inform you if I was needed here," he said after accepting her request and sending the message to Muna.
He also asked her about the new developments, but she simply replied by none.
"If she asks you to bring me out, you will enter here and do everything in your hand to find me, got it?"
"Sure, it's not a big deal," B replied with a soft laugh that melted the heart of the NPC. "Good girl," Bloom patted on her soft cheeks while resisting the urge to hug and kiss her.
"I'm ready, let's go."
He went towards the portal that appeared to be the entrance to the mines while the NPC glanced at B before he reluctantly moved after Bloom.
Bloom passed through the portal to find himself standing in front of an open world. It was all green, even the distant hills and the very far on the horizon mountains.
"Such a big place," he muttered.
"Such a big loss," the NPC muttered.
"What?"
"Is it safe to let her alone? She is just weak!" the NPC said as he pleaded to Bloom, "let her in, please."
"Well" Bloom didn't know what to say but the next moment he took out the remaining thirty-nine tokens and summoned the girls one by one.
"Happy now?" he laughed as he didn't think his lustful self was deeply rooted even in his earlier version like this one.
"Wow, these are so beautiful!" the NPC said before turning to him, "but didn't you have much more than this?"
"Well I lost the rest to get the orb."
"C'mon, how merciless you are! Cold hearted Bloom! That's what I will call you from now on!"
Bloom was speechless there for a moment before breaking out in laughter. "Let's go old man, you seem pretty dizzy only from looking at them," he laughed while moving towards the front and started to examine the area they were standing at.
It was an open area for miles with low leveled green grass and many flowers. "Is this the fallen mine land? It looks amazing!" he said.
"Don't be fooled, these lands hide the most ferocious beings ever" the NPC paused before adding, "the dark creatures lurked here since dark ages!"
"Dark creatures? You mean monsters?" Bloom asked.
"No, creatures are much higher in rank and strength than normal monsters. Consider them like your boss monsters; yet these are really strong and mighty; risky to face right now with your weak powers."
Bloom didn't fully understand his words as he never had such creatures back in his old game or heard about them here. "How many of them are here?" he asked.
"Each mine belonged to one special dark creature, leading an army of weaker ones," the NPC said, "we need to go that way, I can sense my staff being stored there."
He pointed to a direction that ended up towards the far mountains.
"Wow, that will take days to cross!" Bloom commented.
"Don't say that! Only one day at most," the NPC corrected, "c'mon we have to hurry if we want to shorten our time here."
"Wait a minute," Bloom then turned to the ladies as he said: "Each one is named C with numbers from one to thirty-nine. Add me as friends now."
"Done!"
"I did it master."
"Master, I added you."
They started to answer him with their sweet voices and sexy attitudes. The NPC standing behind Bloom drooled over them, as well as Bloom. Yet he tried to act tough and controlled his emotions well in front of that older version of him.
"Let's go," after he created a group and added them to it, he tried to send Muna a message.
"System alert: player is inside a special region, player can't communicate with anyone from the normal world of the game until he exits this place."
"As expected," he muttered to himself as he followed the NPC towards the distant forest. The forest started with scattered small trees here and there, yet after a mile it started to thicken.
"Be ready, something is coming," the NPC warned before adding, "I will act as you aider from the side; acting only scarcely according to situations."
"Thanks," Bloom said despite not feeling that grateful to these words. He hoped this NPC would be much more beneficial to him, not just an alarming NPC!
Just as Bloom took out his two swords, he felt the fine trembling of the ground. "Are they coming in great numbers?" he asked.
"Only three of them," the NPC replied.
"Must be three behemoths then," Bloom laughed before turning to his dolls, "wait behind me and don't join this battle."
"Yes, master," and the combined response created a melody in his ears and left the NPC drooling as well.
"Focus, goddammit!" he cursed before waiting for the incoming hostile monsters to arrive.
The moment they approached him, trees started to shake and some even leaned on both sides creating a path. "They are really three behemoths," Bloom muttered when he laid eyes on them. "What level are they and what are their special attributes?" he asked.
"Generally they are level fifty lord rank monsters," and the answer the NPC provided startled Bloom. "But I will act now," he said as he held the orb in hand and started muttering something.
The next moment a transparent wave erupted from this orb, hitting the three monsters and sending them flying. "What did you just say?" Bloom surprisingly asked.
"It's the privilege of my job," the NPC laughed before adding, "Go and kill them. They are now lowered to be level thirteen monsters."
"Lord rank?" Bloom asked.
"Sure, I can't lower their ranks as well," the NPC said, "don't be greedy, this isn't anything compared to what you did back there."
Bloom sighed. "What do you think I'm? hulk?" he complained while muttering:
"Shade doppelganger festival!"
The next moment thirteen dark shades appeared from him. "Go and make sure two are kept away from me," he ordered while he glanced at the three incoming monsters.
Their bodies shrunk much more than before, yet they were still considered giants. They were ten meters in height, had elephant bodies and wolf heads.
"Strange monsters indeed," Bloom muttered before adding, "do they have special skill?"
"Absolute skill you mean? Sure, they have three."
Bloom turned to glance strangely at the NPC who embarrassedly laughed. "It's not my fault, it's the game setting!" he said, trying to give himself a reason here.
"Tsk," Bloom wasn't feeling any joy anymore. "Tell me you know their abilities," he added while watching his thirteen shadows starting to attack the monsters, taking two away from him while the third stopped moving and eyeing them in vigilance.
"The first ability is charge, and they usually use it after howling. The second ability is blood sucking, which affects all inside a certain radius of fifty meters; decreasing the Hp of those affected by it and giving them half of that lost amount of Hp. The last ability is randomness, which makes any player attacking them can't determine the skill he would use. The game will randomly select a skill to activate, and it's according to luck alone to select the best skill in the perfect situations."
""
Bloom was speechless as he didn't know what to say! Each skill of those was really OP! "That last one though," he shook his head before helplessly deciding to go towards the remaining vigilant monster up front.
"Remember, each skill used will weaken the monsters, so be sure to attack them hard in the minutes after using their skills," the NPC shouted, feeling glad he could help him with this precious info.
"That's useless!" yet Bloom didn't share this joy with him.
