Chapter 124: The Boogeyman is Coming!
Chapter 124: The Boogeyman is Coming!
Things didn't look that well from his place. "tsk, I thought they would be a good opponent, but sigh, I might have overestimated them," Bloom shook his head.
The situation at the one hundred group of those mercenaries wasn't the good, as they were already scattered around, with much of their Hp gone already, no time to restore all of their Hp through potions before the monsters would reach them.
And the number, variety, and the levels of these monsters were all higher than them. Everything pointed out towards their total wipe out, and even the distant Nara, Jeffrey, and the other had no doubt in that.
Yet these players weren't that easy to fall here!
"What the they have scrolls this early in the game?" Bloom wasn't the only shocked one here, as the moment these players realized their desperate situation they didn't delay in taking out a dozen of those scrolls!
"They must be a special dungeon clearance, how did they find a dungeon so early?" Jeffrey was shocked, yet Nara wasn't as much shocked as him or Bloom.
She knew exactly how terrifying this company was! a legend, not only in the real world, but literally at everything else; and the game world wasn't an exception.
The next thing they did was to cut these scrolls into half, activating it. Bloom always heard a lot about the scrolls in the Eternal game, yet this was his first time to see it.
"I think scrolls were ranked in Latin letters, with I being the weakest. I think it's already impressive for them to have dozen of such scrolls. How did they manage to get these? Did they attack a caravan?"
Just as he was indulged in his own thoughts, the entire atmosphere changed. Ground and sky roared, with dozen AOE effects erupted, hitting this spot centered around the players in hundreds of meters radius.
For Bloom, he was outside the area of these scrolls' effect. He thanked his luck that he used this tactic, or else if he was the one standing in front of them right now, he wouldn't be able to emerge unscathed with his life!
The attacks came in three waves; with eight forms of a sea of fire emerging from the ground, and the others were three ice blizzards and one hurricane!
Each attack devastated the monster pack, showing no mercy. Despite the presence of some contradiction in the scrolls, the negative effect they had on the other scrolls weren't that much to notice.
After all the wind augmented fire and snow, negating the effect of both had against each other to some degree.
As for monsters, a series of hundreds of damage started to rise up from their heads. "This won't be enough to kill them," Bloom concluded from just observing for a few moments. "So you will come to me then?" he was slightly surprised from their collected minds despite all the odds!
"Experts, they are really experts," he muttered before squeezing his eyes, observing the border of the doomsday occurring to the monsters right now; around a hundred meter away from him.
The vision wasn't that good through the attacks, yet he managed to spot a group of silhouettes coming towards him. "They are really bold," he sneered as he wasn't out of options here.
Just as he was about to prepare for the fight, he noticed the shapes of these individuals; they weren't the players; instead they were like the dark agents he summoned before for Luna; those battle deserters!
"That dark side player, tsk," he understood what was happening now. Most of the players weren't ready yet to face him, so they preferred to send those agents to fight him while they escaped.
"Do you think I would let you go off this easily?" he sneered before hurrying to open the dark auction interface and buy a bunch of dark agents for himself.
"Come my beloved agents," he laughed as he used over fifty tokens to summon them. The next moment fifty dark silhouettes appeared in front of him. "See those? Half go to them and half go to that side," he pointed with his sword before muttering:
"Time to kill you before you regained your strength."
He then ventured down the hill, using the big cloud of dust and attacks to his advantage.
"What is he planning to do?" Nara muttered, before adding, "and what are those dark NPCs appearing from him and them?"
"Don't know," Jeffrey shook his head, "this fight proves to be out of our league."
"Agreed," she murmured, "yet he is on our side," she chuckled and Jeffrey just glanced at her, with doubt in his look.
"Do you plan to marry him or something?"
"What? Of course not!" she hurried to object, "he can't survive that clash with Dockrey," she shook her head, with a depressed tone.
"For me, I think he can handle him perfectly fine in the game."
"Yet in the real world; what if he hired those assassins to kill him?"
"I don't know why, but I think this man has a mysterious background. It won't be this easy to touch him."
She glanced at the distant shadow of Bloom before he vanished from her sight. "I hope you are right," she muttered, praying to herself for this to be true.
As for Bloom, he went towards the direction he thought mostly those players would escape to. "If they get divided into two directions, one will be handled by me and the other by my agents," he muttered before spotting the distant tree line in the distance.
And at this moment, a group of players seemed to come out from the gigantic cloud of dust. "As expected, darkness nihility," he muttered while activating his stealth skill.
The next moment, he vanished from the world, while he kept running forward; his enemies were kept in the dark.
The distance between the two sides shortened, and just as the players exited the area of their scrolls, they checked his location first.
They seemed surprised to find the hill empty! They paused, glancing around like they felt his presence there. "Yup, stay there morons, the boogeyman is coming for your filthy souls," he inwardly laughed before running as fast as he could.
"Shadow steps!"
Just as he approached them, he activated his speed skill. The distance between the two became shorter with each passing second. When they didn't see him anywhere, they started to head towards the nearby tree line.
They seemed to feel safe and sound, and as he expected; half of them were only there! He closed up from behind, and when he reached them he didn't hurry to attack.
"I still have thirty seconds in my skill," he smirked to himself before running in a curved course around them.
When he was opposite to the middle of their ranks he started his attack.
"Dash!"
"cloud of fog!"
He instantly used two of his skills from the start. His body moved to hit a player in the center, stunning him, sending him flying in the air under the passive effect of his sent to fly skill!
"He is here!" one shouted, yet the next moment his voice was cut short as Bloom hit him, giving him a stun and sending him flying as well.
For him, he was one level higher. So each player hit with his sword was sent flying!
He didn't hold himself back, as he used the other sword to stab anyone he passed by. So when he finished with his five hits, he also sent flying ten more!
The situation turned upside down! Each one of them had their Hp lowered by one third so far, and after these attacks they lost enough to make them decline more than their half!
He sent sixteen flying, disturbed the lines of them, while creating a vacant area around him, right in their center.
"Attack! He is there!" one of them shouted, predicting the place of him right at the place he just hit the last player at.
Instantly double skills fell upon his head, coming from two staff holders. "Tsk, do you think I only have one dash? Or one stun skill?" he smirked to himself before muttering to himself, "dash!"
His second dash carried him all the way to those staff holders, stunning and sending one flying, before following with two stabs, sending two more flying, hitting another two in their way!
Only three remained standing, and he wasn't that polite with them!
"Stab, stab, slice," he used his own barrage of basic skills to attack the two shield bearers and one axe wielder; sending the three flying with damage ranging between twelve thousand and twenty appearing on top of their heads.
"One crit, that's my lucky day," he didn't delay as he headed towards those stunned players. "Stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, slice, stab, slice," he attacked three of them nearby, before glancing over the two staff holders.
"I need to make sure these long ranged annoying players are gone first," he decided as there were six of them here; four stunned and two free.
"sky piercer," he didn't hold back and used one of his top skills at once. He instantly was carried three meters in the air, landing on top of one of the two free staff holders.
And a frightening twenty five thousand damage appeared on top of her head!
"Stab, stab, stab, stab, slice, swift kick," just three attacks were enough to kill her, before he attacked the other one before using the combo skills of slice and swift kick.
"-5000"
"-7000"
"-5000"
Just in the middle of his move, he was hit three times by skills coming out of nowhere!
