Chapter 117: The Fact
Chapter 117: The Fact
Her tone was rushed, yet she was trying to sincerely advise him for his best. He took the step between him and her, and then put his hand over her shoulder as he calmly said: "Don't worry yourself about me, I'm Bloom, not just a meager kid from the neighborhood. I'm not that green and it's not an exaggeration to say that a death feud between me and these men was destined to happen."
She glanced at him with an absent mind, thinking he was totally lunatic. She wasn't alone, everyone around him thought the same. He didn't say more, and he wouldn't.
He wouldn't explain that he came here targeting Panty, as for that Dockrey, strangely the name sounded familiar. 'Any familiar name in my mind is related to some sort of big quest or development in the game,' he said to himself as he knew sooner or later his path would be crossed with such a person.
"Why?" she stuttered before adding, "why are you doing this? This is just a game for you!"
'It's more than that to me,' he replied to her, yet he just gave her a calm smile; a smile she misinterpreted as doing this for her.
"Now let's not delve into these matters again," he said before glancing at everyone, "we need to work hard and raise our levels. I'm pretty sure whoever comes for me won't only target me."
His words were met with strange glances from everyone. They came here speculating all things about his reaction; yet they missed the right one.
"Are you sure?" she asked again.
"This a game as you said," he shrugged, "what's the benefit of making it like a life feud? Let's enjoy ourselves and have fun."
He then turned to the others, totally ignoring her weird look over her face. "Send me a friend request so I can add you all to my group."
"Don't bother, we already have one," Jeffrey said with a big smile all over his face, "nonetheless I'm honored to have you as a friend."
The others nodded as well, before a wave of friend requests appeared in front of Bloom's face. He accepted them all before being added to the group they created and then, and after a moment of hesitation, Nara made him the leader.
"Master, big news!"
At this moment Muna who he just sent an hour ago sent this message to him. "About the bounty on my head?" he replied back instantly while turning to glance at the monsters standing in front of him. "What do you say about our strategy to level up here?" he directed his question to the group of players around him.
"Yes, and there is another thing. Panty works for a guy called Dockrey, and he and Nara in your team have some sort of love relation."
At this moment he couldn't help to raise his eyebrows, luckily for him he was giving everyone his back at this moment. "They two love each other?" he doubtly asked.
"We will attack them with usual formation. We need first to decrease their numbers by making them run away before we hunt the suitable number for our team."
"And what is the suitable number in your opinion?" he asked Jeffrey while his eyes were fixed on the chat with Muna.
"It's one sided love, or something called a lifetime chance for Dockrey according to Panty's words."
Bloom just nodded, agreeing with the words Muna just sent. 'They are just trying to hunt down a trophy,' he said to himself before sending to her; "was the name Terry mentioned?" This was what he cared about.
"Around twenty to thirty at maximum," Nara replied in Jeffrey's stead as the latter didn't know how to answer.
"Thirty, huh," Bloom muttered before adding, "it's around the same number I killed alone," he said this in low tone yet everyone perfectly heard him.
"What? What level are you now? Let me check, oh my gosh! Level twelve already!" Jeffrey was shocked and his loud words made everyone around him check the list in the group again to confirm what he said.
And the next seconds they all glanced differently at Bloom, he was a strong player! Even they, and they were veterans, were at level eleven!
"That's nothing, I'm almost at level thirteen," he casually replied, without noticing their strange looks upon him.
His mind was fixed on something else, as Muna sent the answer he craved for. "They mentioned him. How did you know that? He is called a retard pathetic spoiled rich kid whose mind is twisted already. He is said to live in a big mansion with people handling all his wealth for him."
The answer she sent wasn't that satisfying for him, so he asked for more:
"Did they mention anything else? His last name perhaps? The area he lived at? The name of his companies and the heritage he held? Anything useful for me to identify him."
He had this weird hunch he was the one mentioned in these talks, or the old Terry he was now playing his role in this life.
"Give me a sec," she just said and he just turned to face his new team as he said, "I will change the strategy you were using by my own."
"Strategy?" Nara said in a weird tone as she still was amidst her own thoughts. "Sure, I just said I used to kill this number alone, so basically we can at least double it, right?"
Everyone glanced at him in doubt, but he didn't wait for them to agree or disagree, as he instantly used his skill right away.
"Shade doppelganger festival."
The next moment a dozen of his dark clones appeared. This wasn't a secret move of him, as everyone already knew he could summon clones. "But what for?" Jeffrey asked as if he was speaking to himself.
"You will see by your own eyes," he smiled calmly as he turned to face his clones as he added, "go and attract all monsters to here."
His words gave everyone an instant scare, and just before they could realize his aim, his clones moved. Everyone stood in their place motionless watching the clones each going in one direction.
