Chapter 102: A Strange Type of Monsters Is Winning!!
Bloom stood on the side watching the monsters killing each other. The group of a hundred monsters once they lost their target; they returned to join the fight.
It was a huge mess, and the ruckus caused by it could be perfectly heard from a distance. Bloom knew that, and he didn't care. after all if anyone wanted to mimic his strategy without losing most of his or her players, then he wouldn't mind seeing such a myth.
After five minutes, and as the fight was raging furiously, with little losses of all parts, Bloom realized that the advantage wasn't for the large groups as he expected, but for the smaller ones.
At the first of the fight, the large groups of monsters; those with a hundred monsters in them, attacked the smaller ones, beside attacking the other large groups.
That caused the smaller groups to unite together, in an unpredicted move by them, making the large groups be the loser so far.
"But the losing percentage of all parts are nearly the same, I need to act," he muttered, before glancing over his shades standing next to him. their time was almost up, and it was time to put their end to a better use. "Go, attack randomly, don't stick at one monster, and run towards the right and left," he said, while giving them this simple order.
They didn't delay moving without saying a single word. He admired their efficiency as he watched them do exactly as he instructed.
As no monster had already used any special skill yet, the place was safe for them to move. They first used a dash, before linking it with a cloud of fog, then slice, then another dash, a slice, then they ran.
He liked their combo of skills, it was like seeing a recording of him attacking and moving all around. He watched the shades attack monsters, slip in between their fighting large bodies, before running, a group to the right and a group to the left.
As the two groups were formed, two branches of monsters ran after them. He didn't tell his shades when to stop, so they kept running, dragging nearly one hundred and fifty monsters away from the group.
As the shades gathered many monsters from the area, there was a large piece of emptiness before them. The two groups of monsters kept running far from the main group, and that played just fine in Bloom's plan.
The idea of his was simple, as he used his doppelgangers to attract random monsters behind them, separating them from the main group, unbalancing the balanced fight going on in front of him.
That toppled the balance, making the fight much harder for some monsters, and easier for others.
"That's more I like it, but these guys sigh!" he glanced at the right and left where he watched his shades popping up in the distance, disappearing after their duration ended.
Once that happened, the monsters chasing after them stopped, and something crazy just happened afterwards.
The two groups of monsters started killing each other without returning back to the main group. "Are they trying to control the empty area under their reign?" Bloom muttered in surprise, after glancing for quite some time towards the two groups.
He was speechless, but happy about it. "I really love it when things go along my way," he laughed as he now had three weakened groups under his disposal.
All he needed now was to sit, watch, and enjoy.
The development wasn't in his plans, but he didn't refuse such a gift. All he asked for was for the fight to last for over twenty minutes, so he could be able to use his doppelgangers again.
However, as the two right and left groups were made of a mixture of monsters, the fight there was a dog fight, all attacking all, with no temporary alliances or a foe to focus mainly on.
So the monsters with the largest number won, and this happened in the two groups, and this happened too fast.
In less than ten minutes, the left and right groups had stopped fighting, with dead bodies on the ground many times the number of surviving monsters. The left group had only seven monsters left, and the right only had ten, and strangely they both were ruled by the same kind of monsters; the double trunk monsters.
Or that what Bloom decided to call on them.
The monsters were like a leopard in general shape, with their long bodies reaching to four meters tall, ending by two long trunks, that had exceptional ability to move around, ending on both ends with a broad piece like an axe, formed of the same armored skin of the bodies.
Apart from that, nothing else was special about these, and that made Bloom totally ignore them, thinking wrongly they wouldn't survive to the end.
And now they ruled over two regions, not one!
"Sigh, ten minutes before the skill to be used," he muttered with regret as he glanced at the two distant groups, "it's a regret they will regenerate Hp during these ten minutes, sigh!"
It wasn't allowed for any player or a monster to regenerate Hp during fighting, but away from the fight mode, both could regenerate Hp. Over ten minutes was enough period for the monsters to gain at least over seventy percent of their initial Hp, making the task of killing them harder.
"But their numbers are small, I can easily deal with them alone with my doppelgangers, not to mention Nara's new players and those who she will recruit."
He recalled Nara and recalled his doubt about her, but he shook these thoughts for now and focused on the fight. He started to focus over the double trunk monsters, while wondering about the reason for their overwhelming success.
And in minutes he was able to know the reason for that. These monsters weren't huge in size like others, but they had short heights, with their outer surface being supported by their thick armors, they weren't easily wounded or killed.
Plus their rapid movements, aiming towards the gaps between the monsters' legs, able to get through there with amazing agility. "Hard to catch with their high speed, hard to wound with their thick armor, this monster is really a headache."
