"Yes, Lady Shao Mi," responded one of the girls. They all wore white kimonos, though theirs were much simpler in design compared to hers.

"I'll use my power to increase our speed. Stay close," she commanded. Everyone complied, and soon they were enveloped in an orb of light, speeding forward.

SWOOOOOSH!

Their speed quadrupled instantly, surpassing even the fastest jets. No aircraft could catch up to them at such velocity.

The ball of light pierced through the sky to reached the destination where the Zol Clan members were supposed to be.

She planned to locate their base and eliminate everyone, with the help of her clan.

Unlike other continents, she didn't want the situation to escalate further, knowing they would suffer in a prolonged conflict.

Even if they succeeded in eliminating the Zol Clan, delaying their defeat would result in a huge loss of manpower, leaving them vulnerable to other threats.

Underneath the peace in the world, other families were also aiming for power. Nobody dared to upset this balance before because they'd face backlash from all sides. However, the Zol Clan's actions changed everything.

They even created an organization called Cerebrum to give humans a false sense of power, making them believe they were in control, when in reality, the Gifteds were still the ones running the show.

"Where are they?" she inquired, observing her subordinates hovering in the air.

A total of over three hundred Taoists now hovered in the air, ready to obliterate the Zol Clan once and for all. Among them were dozens of individuals with Mind Power levels exceeding 70.

"Lady Shao Mi, I apologize, but they vanished out of thin air," one of the Taoists, a man, spoke while bowing his head respectfully.

"Teleportation?" she mused aloud. Teleportation wasn't a specialty of the Zol Clan, so she hadn't expected them to escape so easily with her people following them.

'It's his fault,' she couldn't help but remember the man she met earlier. If it weren't for him, she wouldn't have been late.

'No, it's my fault for being distracted,' she sighed. She was not the kind of woman who couldn't accept her own mistakes.

She could have just ignored him when she noticed him. So, her decision to confront him ended up disrupting her plans.

They turned towards the source of the voice to retaliate , but before they could react, they found their bodies frozen in place.

However, the restriction didn't last long.

"Why did you follow us? I know it, you're in cahoots with the Zol Clan?" Shao Mi's voice turned cold as she recognized a familiar face.

She felt angry not just because he followed her, but because she couldn't accept the fact that this man actually made her heart race, despite sensing the dangerous aura surrounding him.

'But I really like her fierce eyes,' I added as I treat myself with her charming angry face.

"Relax, I'm not here to cause trouble. And I'm not with those crazy guys," I said, raising my hands to feign innocence.

"Only a fool would believe you, Lady Shao Mi. Don't trust this man. He is dangerous," a man with long black hair tied back spoke up, sending me a daggering gaze. He was handsome, but compared to me, he was nothing.

Shao Mi also did not speak immediately. She must be contemplating whether to believe me or not.

"Everyone, let's kill him before he can do anything. I won't let you hurt Lady Shao Mi!" he declared.

Shao Mi seemed surprised by his declaration, but she still remained silent.

"Hey, who are you? Why are you acting like some kind of big shot?" I asked, my voice turning colder.

"I'm her protector," he declared, his chin lifting with arrogance, daring anyone to challenge his claim.

"You? You're so weak I could pinch you to death," I scoffed with contempt.

How dare this weak side character claim to protect such a perfect woman. I'm the only one qualified to say those cringe words

"You insolent fool!" he roared in anger, flying toward me with his fist raised.

As he got nearer, I sidestepped with lightning reflexes, dodging his attack effortlessly.

With a smirk, I mocked him, "Is that the best you've got?"

He threw punch after punch, fueled by his wounded pride. But despite his efforts, I easily exchanged blows with him, relying solely on my raw physical abilities.

There was no need to use my overpowered abilities against an ant like him.

If he had encountered me before, perhaps he could have presented a challenge in terms of martial arts.

However, I had already memorized the movements of that Xiao old man, which was far more powerful than this trash.

In the end, I kept dodging and parrying his attacks as if they were nothing.

"Am I too fast, or are you too slow?" I taunted him, a smirk playing on my lips.
