Evan has a skill called Soul Absorption, which allows him to collect the souls of the deceased and use them to empower his other skills or attacks.

However, after arriving in Utopia, he had used this skill only a handful of times. The last time he had used it was during his time in the Tomb of the Ancient. Since leaving the tomb, the skill had remained unused.

There were two reasons for this. First, Evan hadn't faced a situation dire enough to warrant empowering his attacks to save his life. Second, his stockpile of souls was nearly depleted.

In Arora World, he had collected hundreds of thousands of souls after slaughtering hordes of monsters and the demons summoned by the Dark Guild.

However, he had expended all those souls during the events in the Tomb of the Ancient and hadn't had the opportunity to replenish them since.
