Chapter 174: Unlimited Void Lv5
Chapter 174: Chapter 174: Unlimited Void Lv5
Two mutilated figures squirmed in the pool, writhing like worms. Despite losing their limbs, the cursed energy that remained allowed them to retain a fraction of their strength.
Clenching weapons in their mouths, the two began slashing at each other. Blood flowed from their wounds, drawing the attention of the crocodiles swimming nearby.
Haruta and Juzo exchanged a glance and tacitly decided to stop fighting each other—for now. They shifted their attention to the crocodiles, working together to kill the beasts first.
Once the crocodiles were eliminated, they resumed their brutal fight. In the end, Haruta managed to emerge victorious, relying on his cursed technique that always allowed him to narrowly escape danger.
Floating weakly on the water's surface like a worm, Haruta, pale and desperate, looked up at Alex and pleaded,
"I've won. Please, let me go!"
His strength was completely drained, and his cursed energy was nearly exhausted. He could barely stay afloat, knowing that if he sank, he would drown. His panic was palpable.
Alex nodded calmly. "You won the game, so yes, you can live."
Hearing Alex's promise, Haruta's face lit up with joy. As long as he escaped, he could survive.
For a sorcerer, losing all five limbs wasn't an irreversible injury. He knew of a Special Grade Cursed Spirit, Mahito, whose Idle Transfiguration could restore him completely.
But as time passed, he realized Alex wasn't making any effort to rescue him. A deep sense of unease began to creep in.
"Why aren't you pulling me out? I won the game fair and square!"
Alex nodded again, his smile unchanging, and replied matter-of-factly, "Of course. I said you could live. I never said I'd save you.
If you drown on your own, well, that's hardly my fault."
It was at this moment that Haruta, who had always seen killing as a game, finally understood—Alex had no intention of letting him live from the very start.
Realizing his impending death, his face twisted with rage as he shouted,
"You lying bastard! I curse you—you'll never die a peaceful death!"
Before he could finish his curse, however, a fresh wave of pain silenced him.
Alex had amplified Haruta's sensory perception by thousands of times. Now, even the slightest touch of water against his body felt like an excruciating flaying torture. Worse still, his skin began to disintegrate, bit by bit.
As his screams grew weaker, fading into silence, Alex filled in the makeshift pool with a wave of his hand. He looked down, almost bored, and muttered, "I said I'd let you live, but you had to go and curse me.
At that point, you were just asking for it. Can't blame me for breaking my promise."
With both Haruta and Juzo dead, Alex found no more cursed spirits or sorcerers to deal with.
It left him feeling a bit disappointed, though he wasn't too concerned. Those cursed spirits weren't aimless wanderers. They had goals, even if they required sacrificing their lives to achieve them.
Eventually, they'd show themselves again.
Alex stopped mid-step, rubbed his chin thoughtfully, and mused aloud,
"Why do I feel like I'm the villain here?
Hmm. Maybe I shouldn't talk so much next time—just attack immediately. Can't give them any chance to retaliate.
No... wait. Having fun is more important."
...
The exchange event ended with Tokyo Jujutsu High achieving a decisive victory. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Over the next few weeks, even Itadori Yuji joined the grueling training regimen. Surprisingly, the students from Kyoto Jujutsu High followed suit, unwilling to lag behind.
However, Alex couldn't help but feel a little exasperated by one particular student—Nishimiya Momo, the twin-tailed, petite sorcerer.
Determined to grow stronger, she constantly hovered around Alex, trying to get his attention in an almost sycophantic manner.
Alex sighed. "Look, I get it. You've got golden twin-tails and you're a perfectly legal loli, but let's be real—our 'sizes' don't match.
If I push too hard, you'll break!"
But Alex reconsidered. Even if she "broke," he could instantly repair her. As a result, he stopped lecturing the golden twin-tailed, perfectly legal loli about working hard and not taking shortcuts. Instead, he began occasionally indulging her, providing emotional support and responding to her antics.
Following his philosophy of "don't reject, don't pursue, don't take responsibility," Alex spent time with her while maintaining a casual attitude.
After the exchange event, a week of training ensued. Then, Yuji Itadori and the other first-year students set out on a mission.
Alex knew they would encounter two of the Cursed Womb: Death Paintings—Eso and Kechizu—and eventually defeat them. During this time, Megumi Fushiguro would also awaken his Domain Expansion: Chimera Shadow Garden.
However, Alex wasn't interested in their mission. Instead, he focused on his own training in his room, constantly honing his abilities while anticipating the upcoming Shibuya Incident.
He planned to resolve everything during the Shibuya Incident, fundamentally altering the rules of the Jujutsu Kaisen world. Afterward, he would leave to explore and adventure in other worlds.
Several months passed, during which Alex upgraded many of his skills:
[Unlimited Void experience +1]
[Unlimited Void experience +1]
[Unlimited Void experience +1]
...
[Congratulations! Your skill Limitless Void has leveled up!]
[Unlimited Void Lv5 (1/20,000): Pull opponents into the inner side of Unlimited Void, forcing their brains to process endless streams of redundant "perception" and "transmission" data in order to stay alive. This renders their brains nonfunctional, leaving them standing helplessly until death.
The host can now finely control Unlimited Void, lock onto specific targets with precision, extract memories from their minds, and even implant memories. Additionally, the host can use Unlimited Void to create an entirely realistic environment or world!]
With Unlimited Void upgraded again, all of its abilities received a significant boost.
Previously, Alex's Unlimited Void could instantly cover half the universe. Now, it could encompass the entire universe without leaving any blind spots.
This was a massive improvement for Alex. Although his other abilities were powerful, they often lacked range or had slower attack speeds, making them easier to avoid.
By deploying Unlimited Void, all of his skills would become unavoidable within the domain, and he could instantly activate them anywhere within the field.
In addition to these foundational enhancements, Unlimited Void gained a new ability: the power to create a completely realistic illusion, akin to a real-world environment.
To test this, Alex pulled every living being on Earth into the inner side of Unlimited Void and created an illusory world within it.
For an entire month, Earth's inhabitants lived in the illusion without detecting any flaws. Only after Alex released them did they notice a few insignificant inconsistencies.
Beyond Unlimited Void, Alex's Mirror Dimension skill also received an upgrade:
[Mirror Dimension experience +1]
[Mirror Dimension experience +1]
[Mirror Dimension experience +1]
...
[Congratulations! Your skill Mirror Dimension has leveled up!]
[Mirror Dimension Lv5 (1/20,000): Create a permanently sustainable dimensional space. The current size limit is approximately equal to the Milky Way Galaxy.]
Compared to Unlimited Void, the upgrades for Mirror Dimension were purely quantitative. The size of the mirror space Alex could create expanded from the size of the solar system to that of the Milky Way Galaxy.
This upgrade also caused Alex's dimensional universe to expand twice its original size before finally stabilizing.
Moreover, with the upgraded Mirror Dimension, Alex's control over his dimensional universe increased exponentially. Inside the mirror space, he was like a true god, capable of distorting any laws at will—even creating worlds out of nothing.
One day, Alex stepped out of his room and stretched lazily. Suddenly, he noticed Mechamaru chatting casually with Maki Zen'in on the distant training grounds.
Rubbing his chin in thought, Alex muttered, "Hmm, the timing seems just about right. It's time for Kokichi to face Mahito and make the deal.
"After all this special training, Kokichi should be able to escape this time."
In the original storyline, Kokichi Muta, in order to gain a proper body, made a deal with Mahito while standing in front of Maki. Unfortunately, Kokichi failed to escape and was killed by Mahito.
However, with Alex's training, Kokichi's abilities had greatly improved. While he still likely wouldn't be able to kill Mahito, he should now be capable of escaping from both Mahito and Kenjaku, even counterattacking to some extent.
In the blink of an eye, several days passed. One night, a massive curtain suddenly appeared in Shibuya, Tokyo.
The curtain had a peculiar rule: it prevented regular humans from passing through but allowed jujutsu sorcerers to enter. Its strength was incredible—nearly unbreakable unless its core was destroyed.
Unlike the original story, all Kyoto sorcerers had remained at the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College. Therefore, they wouldn't arrive late but would head to Shibuya together with the Tokyo sorcerers.
Not wanting to waste time traveling, Alex opened a portal, instantly transporting everyone to Shibuya.
Once there, the group split up to investigate the curtain's origin.
Alex, however, descended directly into the subway tunnels. His final "fun" event in the Jujutsu Kaisen world had arrived!
As he descended deeper, Alex encountered a cursed spirit gnawing on a human corpse. The creature resembled a grotesque, two-meter-tall locust.
Hearing Alex's footsteps, the cursed spirit turned and stammered, "Hey, what are you looking at? You... You're a... j-ju-ju-ju... sorcerer!"
Uninterested in dealing with such a low-intelligence spirit, Alex casually slapped it into a bloody paste against the wall, then continued down the tunnel.
Before long, Alex reached the third underground level. The moment he appeared, a new curtain formed around him.
Alex instantly analyzed the curtain. It had been designed with incredibly high strength, sacrificing longevity and limiting its target to him alone.
Its purpose was clear: to trap him in place.
As Alex was confined within the curtain, several figures emerged from the darkness—cursed spirits and Kenjaku himself.
Kenjaku produced three Prison Realm objects and placed them in three corners of the curtain, activating them.
The Prison Realms merged with the curtain, significantly reinforcing its defensive properties.
Seeing this, Kenjaku finally smiled.
"Surprised, aren't you, Alex? All of this was prepared just for you..."
Cough, cough. As Kenjaku spoke, he suddenly coughed a few times. Alex could clearly see that Kenjaku's body was in an extremely weakened state.
When the coughing fit subsided, a trace of blood dripped from the corner of Kenjaku's mouth. Wiping it away, he continued:
"I've completely drained the potential of Suguru Geto's body to create three Prison Realms within just a few months.
"We also developed a specialized curtain designed solely for you. Its binding ability is extraordinary—so strong that even Satoru Gojo wouldn't be able to break it easily.
"With the three Prison Realms combined with this special curtain, we could easily seal someone like Gojo. Even though you're stronger than him, you won't be able to break free in a short amount of time. By the time you escape, our plan will already be complete. At that point, even if you break free, it'll be too late to stop us!"
Kenjaku and the cursed spirits erupted in laughter. They had worked tirelessly for months, researching and crafting this plan to seal Alex, and now it had finally succeeded!
"You all must be exhausted," Alex suddenly said, looking at Kenjaku and the cursed spirits with an expression of concern.
His sudden empathy left them momentarily stunned. The cursed spirits, who had been overworked and sleepless, now sported dark circles under their eyes. As for Kenjaku, his human body looked so haggard that he could've easily passed as a giant panda.
"What do you want?" Kenjaku asked cautiously, instinctively taking a step back.
Alex shook his head, adopting a regretful expression. "It's a pity. You've worked so hard, but all your efforts will be in vain."
A sense of unease washed over the cursed spirits and Kenjaku, but they quickly brushed it aside, laughing once more.
"Hahaha! We've already succeeded! Once we've sealed you and used the final Prison Realm to trap Satoru Gojo, our plan will be complete!"
As they spoke, they dropped their calm façade, letting their true emotions surface. However, to their surprise, Alex's expression didn't change. Instead, his gaze grew even more sympathetic.
This look of pity unsettled the cursed spirits, stoking their anger.
Jogo's volcano head spewed flames as he roared: "Don't give me that look! I'm telling you, you're done for! Soon, humanity will fall under the control of cursed spirits.
"Even if you break free, you'll be up against a world full of cursed spirits. No matter how strong you are, you'll be worn down and defeated!"
Alex chuckled and shook his head. For the first time, he truly began to enjoy himself.
"Do you really think the combined might of this world's cursed spirits could last even a second against me?
"And more importantly, who ever said I was trapped? You think a few Prison Realms and a makeshift barrier can contain me?"
With that, Alex placed his hand on the barrier and pressed down lightly.
A faint cracking sound echoed. Suddenly, the barrier, covered in its eerie red eyes, began to fracture.
As Alex applied more pressure, the cracks rapidly spread, covering the entire barrier in just seconds.
"What?!" Kenjaku's face turned pale at the sight. Without hesitation, he threw the Prison Realm meant for Satoru Gojo onto the barrier to enhance its strength.
"Quick! Channel your cursed energy into the barrier!" he shouted to the cursed spirits. "We can't escape now. If he gets out, we're dead!"
