Chapter 4093: Reaching
Chapter 4093: Reaching
It was at dawn when I opened my eyes.
The first thing, I did was look at the screens and it made my expressions serious.
The monster came several times throughout the night. Though the last time had been three hours ago.
'I will wait for an hour,' I thought and made the screen disappear, before getting up.
I quickly showered and ate, before laying down again.
When I opened my eyes one and a half hours later. I checked the screens again. Seeing there was no sign of the monster; I willed the abode up.
Step!
A few seconds later, I stepped out.
When I saw the ground. I couldn't help, but become surprised. It had melted last time, but now, it had solidified, and with power of lightning could be still felt from it.
The surface is dangerous; the energy flowing through it is powerful enough to kill a regular Sky Sovereign without any problem.
I looked at it for a moment, before I began to move.
It is the first time since coming here, I didn't bring out the strings. I need to get out of here as soon as possible.
My life is on the line.
The monster could return here any time, it did through the night, and I don't want to get caught by it. For it, if I need to sacrifice some resources, I am more than willing to do it.
An hour passed and I didn't see any sign of the monster, but I am not stopping.
I do not plan to stop until I get out of the monster's range.
My heart pains seeing the number of resources, I am letting go, but right now. I do not dare about anything else other than getting out of here.
Time passed and I sensed two people with my soul waves and hope, that they would not get caught in monsters' crosshairs.
In the past four days, I have been here. I have seen people. Eight people to be exact.
All of them are powerful at the peak of Sky Sovereigns.
I wonder, how many had died after coming here. Though, I could tell, the number won't be small.
This place is dangerous and nearly every monster is as strong as the top powerhouses of the level. There is also the energy and suppression, making it difficult to fight against them.
The greatest number of deaths occurred on the first day. After surviving the first day, one gets a pretty good idea about this place and how to survive.
Still, many die, but not in the numbers of the first day.
Time passed and I kept moving without stopping. I didn't pick even a single resource.
Even those that enticed me.
I know too well. If I picked one, I would want to pick more. It is better, that I do not.
I should continue with my journey and not do anything, that will make the monster discover me, till I reach the safe place.
Safe enough place. Nothing is safe here in this realm.
I was thinking that when I sensed the king damningly, it was coming toward me. 'Fuck!' I cursed in my heart, but without hesitation. I took out the abode and entered inside.
My heartbeat wildly as it appeared above me two and a half seconds later. I thought it would stop and rain down the lightning on me.
This time, I was prepared with the abode going down into the ground, but I didn't want to suffer those bolts again.
Anything could happen. Hiding in the ground didn't make things easy for me.
The bolts could still strike me. If the monster sensed my position, but fortunately, it didn't. It simply flew away with its presence scanning a large area.
I heaved a sigh of relief seeing that but didn't leave the abode for another fifteen minutes.
Even then, I didn't want to leave, but I had stepped out of it after calming myself enough. Once again, I resumed my journey.
I didn't pick up a single plant and fight a single monster. I stopped when they came close to me, but didn't bring out my weapon to fight them.
Soon, it was near eleven, when I reached the boundary of the forest.
It is a boundary according to the data, but it doesn't mean, the monster will follow it.
So, I kept moving cautiously as ever. Not touching a single plant, before stopping in the afternoon and entering the abode.
I stayed there for nearly three hours. I practiced and remained unconscious for two hours before waking up.
After eating, I came out and resumed my journey.
I want to reach my destination today. It would be harder, but I believe, I could reach it.
Hun!
I was thinking that when I sensed something. It made my expressions serious.
A few minutes later, I reached it. I saw the solidified earth with lightning energy coursing thought. I also saw the melted metal.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
I didn't have to think. Even for a moment for what happened.
The king had killed a person. The one who died didn't offer the resistance. It isn't surprising.
If I had been at his place, I wouldn't have fared much better.
The only reason, I had survived the encounter is because of my abode.
Without it, I would become the same as this person had.
I sighed and walked away. It is clear, that the monster could get out supposed boundary or I am still in its territory.
The information, I have is over a century old. It is only for a reference. I would pay a heavy
price if I considered it more than that.
Soon, it was evening and things became dark.
The people around me which I sensed moving in the same direction as me begin to disappear
one after another in their abode.
A few like me moved even after it went dark, but they too disappeared one after another.
As the eight clocked in. I remained the only person walking.
I wanted to go back to my abode too, but I was close to my destination, and I kept moving,
despite the danger of the powerful monster around me.
I have hidden from the king. Lessing the fear the other monsters.
If they sense me, I could like, like I did with kind and unlike king. The attacks of these
monsters wouldn't be so threatening.
That doesn't mean, I am not careful against them. I am.
One hour and forty-seven minutes passed when I stopped.
I reached it.
I didn't exactly reach the spot; it had appeared in my range, which was enough for me.
Tonight, I will rest here.
Tomorrow, I will go there, and I hope, it will have something, that will help break through this absolute limit.
