The ride back home was free of troubles, much unlike their journey inside, with all the little fellows scurrying away after seeing them the previous three month trip was shortened into eight days

Upon traversing into human lands YuJu could feel many staring at them from below, more and more joining in to look at the dragon who's back was shrouded in smoke

'I'll deal with their questions after I sort out a method for them to deal with those fellows'

Right now he wanted to rest more than anything else, drowsiness threatened to overtake his mind any moment now

Quickening their pace the group soon arrived at the house where Zero was handed over to Subrina who got to restoring her health with all the brews she could concoct

"Put that little thing to sleep"

He ordered the shadow maid beside her, pointing toward the glaring furball

Meanwhile he laid Ellis on her bed and sat beside her, leaning on the bed stand to take a moment

His mind was rather quiet, almost quiet enough to slip right into slumber

"Master, I have prepared the bath for you"

Opening his eyes he found Subrina by the door

"Alright"

Her interruption shooed away his sleep, so he got up and followed her into the bathing room

The doors were opened for him, steam carrying a soothing fragrance of flower fields in summer days, the effect of her brews no doubt

"Would Master allow me to help?"

Denying her the request he stepped inside, taking his clothes off and slipping into the hot water

"Haa~"

Nerves were untaut, skin smoothed by the heat, and body fully relaxed, truly a wonder what a simple bath could do

'What a bothersome trip'

Took too long, almost lost his followers lives in it, and had to rely on his skills to resolve the situation once more

After an unordinary blissful sleep YuJu awoke, filled with vigor for he never went to that lonely nowhere this time around

Taking a look to the right he found Ellis asleep, leaning on him with her hair notable changing into strands of different color

"She seems to have been influenced by the beast Master defeated"

Mia's voice came from his left promoting his head to swirled in her direction finding the smiling woman leaning on him as well, arms wrapped around his

"What of Zero?"

"I am back in full health my Lord"

Answered the woman in question, attracting his gaze to her leaning on the edge of the bath across from him, just in time to see Ika's scurrying bare back disappear behind the door

"Heh, Ika is too shy Master, though we assured her you wouldn't be interested"

Mia seemed amused by the fidgety woman's retreat while YuJu's attention wholly attracted by the shining spiral tattoos on Zero's body

"It was like this when I awoke my Lord"

"Somewhat, like I am on the cusp of becoming a greater entity"

These tattoos were his blood shackles which he bestowed upon her at some point after trying it with Nee and Ika

"It must mean you're ready to evolve"

Zero did not answer, letting him choose her path but hoping she would not turn into the monstrosity others had become

"Worry not, I can evolve you with the shackles on first, that should keep you human, or well, vampire"

She nodded and had the water bring her to him, sitting in a kneeling position

YuJu looked at Mia who gave back a confused look, did he need her assistance?

She forgot the tired redhead was sleeping on his other so she let go of his arm allowing him to cascade the green light on Zero

A heartbeat sounded through the water the instant his light touched upon her, as if anticipating its arrival

New shades of red and black started flowing through the tattoos, making a full circulation until they seeped into her through the tip of spiral above her heart, repeating over and over until they started pulsating with her heart, like they wanted to break free only to remain bound around her

All this got no response out of the white haired woman, instead Mia was the one who seemed alarmed

"I seem to be losing my control over her Master"

She warned, looking conflicted at Zero, for the woman was her first child of blood, the one she trusted and depended on the most, yet without this control she could not truly keep her trust in her anymore, why? She did not know

At the same time her words were finished YuJu and Zero received a notification each

Moving from the happy revelation YuJu started hoping to evolve the second vampire that joined their ranks, sadly Zero shook her head

If it was pure power then he could certainly say that Ika was stronger than Zero, but when it came to physical strength and vitality which vampires prided themselves over Zero came out on top
