Chapter 83: Take Photos
"Mr. Jason, is it okay to take photos here?" asked Aldric, surprising Arthur.
"Aldric, this is not the place to take pictures," he said before Jason could even reply.
He rolled his eyes, thinking that this man was indeed too young, not understanding the rules.
Does he think this palace is a tourist spot where everyone can take pictures?
Jason frowned, but suddenly, there was a woman's voice.
"You can take photos as long as you don't sit on that throne."
That was of course Princess Charlotte's voice.
Jason froze until his mouth opened when he heard that.
He quickly looked up at a pillar and found the princess emerging from behind it.
She was no longer wearing her previous clothes, now only wearing pajamas with her hair down.
Her hair was wavy and long reaching her waist.
Only in pajamas, it was obvious that she had a curvy body like an hourglass.
Everyone was astonished to see her appear here in such clothes.
Of course, even a princess would wear pajamas at night in her home, but she would still meet people.
As a noble, she was required to maintain honor by looking elegant everywhere.
Just by wearing pajamas, she was practically acting like a commoner.
Plus, she actually allowed Aldric to take photos.
Everyone couldn't be more astonished.
"Your Highness," Jason said hesitantly.
He seemed to be questioning his decision.
"Mr. Jason, this palace can continue to live because of the money the British people gave us. They also have a right to this palace. We don't need to be so rigid, the current generation has its own culture and we need to be open to theirs," said the princess in response.
Jason's mouth opened and closed at that. Even Arthur rubbed his ears, making sure his hearing wasn't wrong.
Was the princess really that kind?
He wondered.
So far there didn't seem to be any cases where the princess had someone take photos in this palace hall, but that was probably because no one had ever asked her.
If someone had asked a long time ago, perhaps she would have given permission since then.
At this moment, the princess walked towards Aldric who was also surprised until she arrived in front of him.
She then extended her hand to him.
"Give me your cell phone, I'll take a picture of you," she said in a soft tone full of calmness.
Aldric's expression completely froze as he looked at the woman whose height reached his nose.
The fragrant scent of her body that had obviously just finished bathing entered his head.
With such a close distance, he could see her slightly rosy face with such a dazzling nose and lips.
His mind was filled with the question of whether he was dreaming.
This seemed too impossible.
"Emmm, yee..." He still unconsciously moved, taking out his cell phone from his pants pocket.
He who was used to the friendly treatment of women now suddenly felt like he had only ever been treated kindly by a woman like most men.
"There good, stand there!" The princess took his cell phone from his hand and pointed at the stairs to the mezzanine of the hall.
She even gave him instructions.
The still awkward Aldric walked to the stairs with an uncertain expression and everyone there apart from the princess showed the same expression.
Arriving in front of the stairs, Aldric turned his face to the princess who was now pointing the camera phone in her hand at him.
"Try to relax," she told him.
It was very difficult for him to relax, he had to force himself.
"Done," the princess said after that.
"Look!" She then asked him to come closer.
He approached her again, receiving his phone to look at his photo.
To his surprise, the photo looked very good, taken when he looked completely relaxed and calm.
It seemed that this princess had good photographer skills.
"Do you want more?" asked the princess as he scrutinized the photo.
"No, no, this is enough Your Highness." Aldric quickly replied.
One time, this was already too much, how could he ask for more.
The princess nodded at that.
Then, she suddenly looked at the other four workers.
"You must also take photos. Otherwise, your wives won't believe you've just been from this palace," she told them, which almost made them stagger in surprise.
Jason felt like tapping his forehead, completely clueless as to what was happening.
However, since the princess had asked, the four workers couldn't refuse. They took a group photo in front of the staircase with the princess taking a personal picture of them.
Jason stared at the scene without blinking.
Fortunately after that, the princess immediately took them to the dining room.
They passed through the hallway behind the stairs, going to the back of the palace.
Along the passage, Aldric found several other halls with different functions, there was even a large library.
And he also saw several dining halls.
There seemed to be quite a lot of them in this palace.
Who knows which dining hall the princess took them to.
Perhaps it was because it was quite late, so the palace was completely deserted.
The royal family members were nowhere to be seen other than the princess.
He sometimes only saw a few servants sweeping the floor or staff leaving with hasty steps.
They seemed to be returning late.
After a short distance into the hallway, the princess suddenly led them up the stairs to the second floor.
When they reached the top of the stairs, Aldric found a place similar to an apartment where there was a living room, a dining room with a kitchen behind it, and several doors that seemed to be either bedrooms or rooms.
In the dining room, he saw two maids who were arranging the food on the table.
"Since it's impromptu and everyone else has already eaten dinner, I couldn't prepare too many things and could only bring you here. This can be said to be my private home." The princess explained as everyone scanned the place.
Under ordinary circumstances, when invited to dinner by a client after work, it might feel disappointing if it wasn't a formal dinner held at a special place with some special events.
After all, a formal dinner was a sign that one wanted to treat those invited with respect.
Only, the one inviting them now is Princess Charlotte, someone who might become the Queen in the future.
She invited them to dinner at her private place. It's not a formal dinner, but it's something more impressive because it looks like she's bringing them into her personal life.
