Legend of Dragon Son-in-law

Chapter 433: 433: Recognizing Him as My Godfather_1

Chapter 433: Chapter 433: Recognizing Him as My Godfather_1

Julius Reed had not expected that Itai Huntington, a woman capable of mesmerizing many, would actually enjoy playing?

“I say, why do you like to play?”

He took a good look at her; Itai Huntington should be quite skilled, even though she always tried to appear frail.

But she could not fool Julius Reed’s eyes.

“Hehe, junior employee, what’s wrong with sister liking to play? Who knows, I might even borrow you one day!”

Itai Huntington gently blew into Julius Reed’s ear while her fingers softly traced circles on his chest.

“No! I have a wife already.”

Julius Reed gently pushed her away, and the burly men standing beside them couldn’t help but frown and clench their fists tightly.

“Then get in the car; we’re heading to the shooting range.”

Itai Huntington blinked her eyes and sashayed to her Maserati, her posture full of allure.

Julius Reed followed, getting into the car as well.

“Why did you suddenly think of making me the chairman? Logically, such a big role should be for your wife to take.”

Itai Huntington did not sit in the front seat but joined Julius Reed in the back, crossing her legs in a pose that seemed indecorous yet irresistibly charming.

Julius Reed, however, remained unfazed, not even a quickening of his breathing, which surprised Itai Huntington.

Few men could resist her seduction, especially those who believed themselves to be immune to temptation; even they had no defense against her.

After all, men are creatures that think with their lower half.

“The reason is simple, because I fancy you and want to sleep with you. So I offered you this position, hoping to make you grateful and willing to offer your body in return!”

Julius Reed joked.

This woman had deep schemes and shrewdness, but to compete with him?

She would need another ten thousand years of life for that.

But by that time, she would just barely catch up to his current self.

“So that’s the case!”

Itai Huntington obviously didn’t believe such a lame excuse, which she doubted even a three-year-old girl would fall for.

But still, she lightly toyed with her top, blushing as she said, “It’s so hot.”

“Brother driver, could you turn on the air conditioning a bit cooler? Your miss is feeling hot.”

Julius Reed said, showing no expression.

“Alright!”

The strong man flashed a hint of anger on his face but still prepared to turn on the cooling air.

It was already nearing the New Year, and even in coastal cities, it was not warm.

And the car wasn’t hot at all!

“Diamond, concentrate on driving!”

Itai Huntington suddenly changed her tone, sharp as a knife, which startled the strong man into quickly returning his hands to the steering wheel.

Then, in less than a second, Itai Huntington reverted to a seductive demeanor.

She leaned against Julius Reed and whispered, “Since Mr. Davenport is helping me so much, maybe tonight…”

“I am busy tonight, spending time with my wife.”

Julius Reed decisively rejected her offer.

The only reason he had come out with Itai Huntington that day was to have a proper talk and make future plans clear.

Otherwise, this woman would never be content being under his control.

“That’s really unromantic!”

Itai Huntington looked at Julius Reed with a plaintive gaze, turned her head away, and huffed.

“You can hold the chairman’s position for now. Once things are stable, I’ll give it to my wife,” said Julius Reed, then added, “I’m not interested in it, so you can be at ease. Afterward, everything in Gonzalez City will be yours.”

Itai Huntington’s body trembled slightly, then she turned to look directly at Julius Reed: “I thought I could see through every man, but with you, I really can’t tell. Mr. Davenport, what exactly do you want?”

Her eyes sought an answer in Julius Reed’s eyes.

However…

Julius Reed said seriously, “I simply crave your body, consider that my allowance for keeping you.”

“Haha! The mouth of a man.”

Itai Huntington was not content, yet up to this point, she hadn’t uncovered any information about Julius Reed.

Ever since this man entered the Radcliffe Family by marriage, he’d been cooped up at home.

Yet, this year, he turned Gonzalez City upside down.

The decline of the Brandon Family, the fact that the Brandon Family was wiped out.

All were the masterpieces of this man before her.

A youthful man that looked reasonably handsome, by all accounts, should be leading a life of luxury, surrounded by wine and beautiful women on yachts.

But he chose to stick with his wife, content to be a son-in-law who had moved into his wife’s family home.

However, as soon as he left Quella Radcliffe, he would show his terrifying side!

He single-handedly toppled the Brandon Family!

Even she, Itai Huntington, couldn’t achieve that so quickly.

And there’s absolutely no information on this man from three years ago.

Saying he just popped out of a rock wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

“Aron Jackson and Ovidiu Cook seem quite familiar with you,”

Itai Huntington continued to fish for information, not believing she’d come away with nothing today.

Last night, someone had sent her a message to run for the position of chairman.

Initially, she was doubtful; she didn’t get along with Julius Reed and had met him only once.

Why discuss this matter with her?

If Julius Reed had the capability, wouldn’t Quella Radcliffe be a better choice?

If he didn’t have the capability, was he trying to stir up conflict between her and Bran Cook?

To reap the benefits of the fisherman watching two others fight?

But Itai Huntington wasn’t afraid of Bran Cook, in fact, their relationship was fairly good. If it really came down to it, Bran Cook had no choice but to back down.

However, securing this position meant controlling the largest resources of Gonzalez City in the future, and possibly rising above Aron Jackson and Ovidiu Cook.

It was worth the wager!

And now, it seemed she’d won the bet.

But why did Ovidiu Cook and Aron Jackson, these two apparent bosses, choose her specifically?

She, Itai Huntington, wasn’t initially interested in this affair at all.

After all, it was Bran Cook who had meticulously organized the whole thing, and local enterprises were all supporting Bran Cook, the accomplished man returning from the capital.

Even though Itai Huntington also returned from the capital.

But no one knew her; people were only fearful of this enchanting widow.

Today she had asked Julius Reed to meet to get some clarity.

There’s no such thing as a pie falling from the sky, especially one as big as this!

Deserving of a feast.

But it seemed that beauty tricks were not very useful.

“Aron Jackson? I don’t know him. I merely sent someone to tell him you liked him and that if he chose you, you would pledge yourself to him. Maybe Aron Jackson took a fancy to you, and who knows, he might go straight to your house tonight,”

Julius Reed spoke earnestly, making the serious Itai Huntington almost believe him.

If Aron Jackson were that simple, could he have controlled Gonzalez City?

“What about Ovidiu Cook! You surely wouldn’t want me to serve two husbands, would you?”

Itai Huntington blinked her eyes, a picture of aggrievement.

“As for Ovidiu Cook, it’s much simpler. I said once things were settled, you’d acknowledge him as your godfather!”

The moment Julius Reed uttered these words, the driver with the iron-clad hands at the front jolted, nearly steering the car onto the curb.
