Chapter 239 The Domain [Bonus]
POV General:
The general trembled so much that his armour clanged, his whole world collapsing before his eyes. He quickly ran out of the tent, leaving the bewildered commanders behind.
"G-general!" A shaking soldier saluted him, but he ignored him, jumping on top of his horse and galloping out of the camp towards the horizon. He wasn't stupid and knew what was going on.
'That wyrm must have finally reached an ancient stage. There will be no fight. This will be a massacre.' he no longer cared about his standing or rank. He just wanted to get away and escape.
No one tried to stop him, everyone looking at the raging sky above their heads, while the rest recognised his armour and let him pass.
'Better be a coward than a dead man. Oh, God, why me? I am already so close to retirement.'
POV Vesuvius:
The dragon felt immense energy pour into his two hearts, the volcanic elements streaming into his own heart while water and air split between the two. The rage, suffering and cold elements nourished his cursed heart, with immense power bubbling and boiling in both.
Vesuvius basked in the energy as he felt his senses transform and reach outside of his body, connecting with magma, stone and air around him as if they were extensions of his own body.
'It feels familiar to the power of the curse or my power to control elements with my horns, yet it is still different.'
The massive whirling vortex of energy was slowly subsiding, all of it getting sucked into his two hearts which were growing hotter and hotter.
The two energy blobs were quickly compressed like stars into black holes.
Vesuvius spasmed as the tiny concentrated pearls of mana in his two hearts reached a breaking point and exploded in energy that spread from his body like two massive overlapping bubbles. He felt everything in it: every stone, air molecule.
It was his domain and kingdom where every element he ruled above was in his absolute, unchallengeable control.
'So this the domain! No wonder the four balance races are most powerful with something like this.'
He willed it, and all of the magma stirred around him. It was unlike his horns. It required no mana from his side nor any effort. It was as if the magma and the mana in it were eager to and voluntarily offered their help instead of being forced.
'Really, no wonder. It is as if nature itself was on my side.'

The nature around them will bend to their will, changing their territories to accommodate the master of the domain.
You can also draw upon this power to draw mana from the surrounding nature to refill your mana.
You can feel and extend your senses through your whole domain.
The size of and effects of the domain scale with MAG stat.
The effects also scale if the terrain is compatible with the domain.

'Hell no, even though there are likely no players now, it is better not to risk.'
The dragon flapped his massive wings, the ground around him bursting and exploding as his much larger body than before broke through the layers of stone surrounding him. He shot towards the sky, the wind and hot air whistling around him and massaging his body.
POV ???:
The young man watched the sky in horror, feeling the constant tremors in the ground. Then all of it suddenly vanished as the massive vortex siphoned into the volcano's fiery pit, revealing the crystal-clear blue sky.
Everything turned quiet and calm as if the past apocalypse was just a dream.
'Are volcanoes in this world exploding in reverse? It felt more like a black hole than a volcano.'
The kobolds around him were still kneeling, facing the volcano, while the human soldiers down in the city streets were still trembling, unable to move.
"You should kneel too if you want to live human." the kobold next to him hissed at him.
The man made a split-second decision and decisively fell on his knees, 'He is my friend, and all of them look like they know what is going on.'
The silence, like that before the storm, kept drawing for seconds and seconds. The tension in the air was getting thicker and thicker.
A first human soldier finally calmed his nerves and raised his sword, its blade reflecting the sunlight as it descended towards a kneeling kobold.
But then the ground shook even stronger than before, and the soldier fell on his ass.
The young man looked towards the volcano in horror as its steep walls exploded, bursting apart in a tsunami of magma, smoke and stone fragments.
'Haha, is this how my adventure in the other world ends? Why now when I have the system?!'
A colossal shadow burst from the volcano and rose towards the sky, where it spread its massive wings that covered the sun. It was a huge dragon covered in dark armour with purple magma flowing through its cracks.
Its body was beyond huge, reaching half the size of the volcano that it burst from. Its huge wings that covered the whole city under shadows were each large as multiple football fields.
The clouds of smoke filled the whole sky, turning the day into a night as the darkness covered everything, with the only light source being the bright purple light radiating from the dragon.
The magma and rocks descended towards the city, the flaming inferno rushing down, ready to destroy everything.
However, then indescribable energy pulsed from the dragon, seeping into the land itself and then, as if the time had stopped, the dragon raised its massive clawed hand, and all of the magma, stone and smoke stopped mid-air as if frozen.
The man couldn't even move, his whole body pinned and frozen by the overpowering presence.
