Facing the attacks from sword spirit and sword grass, cloud baby simply glanced at them nonchalantly and took off, wings spread wide. With a “whoosh,” it vanished from where it had been, leaving the flying swords behind to cut through nothing but its afterimage. The real cloud baby had already flown a thousand meters away.

“Woof! Woof!” General Ha barked instructions quickly, but what followed was a scene of utter playfulness.

Sword spirit and sword grass chased cloud baby all over the sky but couldn’t even get close to its tail. The Roc form was astonishingly fast, always leaving only an afterimage for its pursuers, making real contact impossible.

This elaborate path of light hadn’t yet dissipated when sword spirit and sword grass, seemingly stunned by some heavy blow, were struck by cloud baby as it moved through the sky. They both plummeted to the ground.

“Woof!!!” General Ha looked on, heartbroken.

“So fast?” Lu Ran exclaimed with surprise. “General Ha, sudden death king, dark crow, can any of you match this guy’s speed now?”

None of the three pet beasts responded, clearly acknowledging that their speed was no match for cloud baby in its Roc form.

At this moment, Lu Ran looked up at cloud baby in the sky, taking a deep breath before breaking into a broad smile. Although this transformation relied on epic materials, the results were astonishingly impressive.

With this kind of speed, if its defense can be enhanced as well, it could potentially cause considerable destruction just by colliding with things.

Cloud baby’s evolution delighted Lu Ran. He immediately tasked cloud baby with quickly adapting to its Roc form and also exploring its potential in the Kun’s form.

Sure enough, not long after, cloud baby transformed into a massive cloud whale, embodying the essence of the ocean itself, literally turning the cloud sea into a sea of clouds as it sped through it at incredible speed.

Its speed was equally astonishing.

As dark crow commented, “Caw! If the old turtle had half of cloud baby’s speed, we would have conquered ten times the territory by now!”
